51.15-Gotta go fast

Previously on the Smole, Myrtle, Jim, Eric and Eddy each had a celebrity for Wendy and Larry to guess. They provided just enough clues for Wendy and Larry to successfully identify all four celebrities without losing any points, thus they brought in 100/100 for the pot which is now half-filled at 350/700 points. Unfortunately, despite their attempts to eliminate all exemptions and level the playing field, Larry lost out in a tie and became the next to be executed. Who will be executed next? Who is the Mole?

Eric: "Final five baby!"

Eddy: "We did very well for the previous mission. Let's keep that up. If we stay united, the Mole can't do anything to sabotage."

Myrtle: "Unless there are exemptions in play."

Eddy: "What do you think we'll be doing today?"
Jim: "It better not involve outdoor activity. It's raining."

Eric: "Gotta go fast."

Myrtle: "Don't we have another car?"
Wendy: "It's with me."
Myrtle: "Why don't you drive it?"
Wendy: "Don't feel like it today."

Contestants will be visiting Beachfront Cafe this morning. Here, they can earn 60 points.

They will be tested on their commercial knowledge. There are 6 songs that have been used in commercials.

Correspondingly, there are 6 items in the cafe. Contestants have 10 minutes to match the songs to the right product to earn 60 points, 10 per correct match.

Wendy: "Each of us should take a song and listen to it. Let's try to identify the songs first."

Eddy: "There will be one song leftover. We can play that together."
Jim: "10 minutes isn't a lot of time."

Eric: "Recognise the tunes?"
Wendy: "Oh! This is easy....almost too easy."
Myrtle: "I can't say I've heard mine before."

Jim: "This song is not bad."
Eddy: "Did you say something?"

Eddy: "This sounds like a 90s ringtone."

Eric: "Argh. I can't remember where I heard this song before."

Myrtle: "Identifying the song is easy. Matching it to the commercial is much harder."

Wendy: "That's a chocolate bar."

Jim: "I expect something more cutesy for a chocolate bar."

Eric: "A soda and a futuristic phone."

Eddy: "The Vengabus is comin' and everybody jumpin'~"

Wendy: "Ah, there it is. Bad Day was for Coca-Cola."

Myrtle: "These bone conduction earpieces are really...effective. I should reduce the volume."

Eddy: "This is mine. I had this as a ringtone back when they still sold it."
Jim: "What song is that?"
Eddy: "Vengabus."
Eric: "I feel that my song can work here too."
Jim: "Let's swap songs and have a listen."

Jim: "I have no idea."
Eric: "Oh, yours is by Imagine Dragons."

Eddy: "There's a music player inside. Let's let everyone have a listen."
Eric: "If we do that for every song it's going to be inefficient..."

Eddy: "Have a listen and then we vote."

Eddy: "There used to be commercials for ringtones. This is one of the songs."
Myrtle: "You could be right."
Jim: "I agree. This definitely could work best for the phone."

Eric: "But one of the songs? I think it's not quite right."
Eddy: "We have a majority vote. If you're not convinced, Eric, we can let everyone listen to yours too."
Eric: "Here."

Eric: "It's Believer by Imagine Dragons."
Wendy: "We should also consider the items we have. We have a chocolate bar, a phone and tacos."
Jim: "Shouldn't we have more?"
Myrtle: "I think the rest are downstairs. I noticed some beverages downstairs."
Eric: "It could work for beverages I suppose."
Eddy: "We should first see what beverages Myrtle is talking about. Because there was another beverage outside."

Wendy: "Oh, I didn't notice this earlier."

Myrtle: "Eric, what are you doing?"
Eric: "Taking a sip. If not we won't know what kind of beverage it is."

Eric: "Tastes like...mojito."

Wendy: "Are those 6 flags our last item?"

Jim: "6 Flags is the name of an amusement park company. I think those are the flag colours on its logo."
Myrtle: "Actually, Vengabus sounds like it could be an amusement park song. It's very fun."
Eddy: "I can accept that, but then what is the phone?"
Eric: "We still have one song we haven't heard."
Jim: "Eddy, just put down your song here. We don't have time to deliberate too long."

Eddy: "Sure."

Eddy: "In the meantime I'll listen to the last song."

Myrtle: "Eric, can you help me? I don't know what song this is."

Eric: "Hmm..."

Eric: "In the Air Tonight. It's either for this or the taco. Those are the only two that make sense to talk about 'in the air tonight'."

Eddy: "We need to discuss before making a decision. I have the last song with me. It's by Matt and Kim."

Eddy: "Jim, do you think this could be a mojito song? Or a song pertaining to alcohol?"
Jim: "Yes...yes. It is. I heard this in a commercial before now that you reminded me. It's for Bacardi."

Jim: "It should be here."
Eric: "Alright then. Let's go upstairs."

Myrtle: "Let's be systematic. What song could be for a chocolate bar?"
Eddy: "What famous chocolate bars do we have?"
Myrtle: "Herhey's, Kit Kat, Cadbury, Ferroro Rocher..."

Wendy: "It can't be Cadbury. They have the famous Cadbury song."

Eric: "I agree."
Eddy: "What songs do we have left?"
Eric: "We have my We Are Young, Myrtle's In the Air Tonight and Jim's Believer."

Eddy: "Hang on. We still have a song left playing in the music player."
Eric: "I took it out. Believer is here."

Jim: "Realistically, I don't think that song would be for chocolates."

Myrtle: "Maybe there's a chocolate brand that makes Sims believe? Like Kit Kat?"
Wendy: "Kit Kat's slogan is 'take a break'. I don't think there's any chocolate brand with a slogan about believing."
Eric: "And there's a part where he screams 'pain'."

Jim: "Could it be for the tacos?"
Eddy: "I like your sense of humour, but I think not."

Eric: "Actually, out of all the songs, I think Myrtle's one makes most sense for chocolate."

Jim: "We don't have time. Let's put that down."

Eddy: "Yes. Let's do that."

Wendy: "Quick. Two songs left and not a lot of time. Which goes to which?"
Myrtle: "Can we listen to the songs again?"

Jim: "No time for that. How many times must I tell you?"

Eddy: "We shall take a vote. Tacos are likely to relate to Taco Bell. Which song is for Taco Bell?"

Jim: "I vote for the slower one. The other song is more upbeat which is more in line with technology products."
Wendy: "You make a good point."
Myrtle: "I can see Taco Bell playing We Are Young."
Eric: "Agreed."
Eddy: "Then I don't have to tiebreak. It's settled. Who has the song?"

Jim: "It's with me."

Eddy: "Who has the other song?"
Eric: "Me."
Wendy: "Quick, put it at the phone!"

Eric: "On it!"

Eric: "And time."

Eric: "So, that's the end of the mission, right?"
Jim: "It was a very quick one."

"Contestants, it was a frantic rush but you have identified 5 commercial songs and their matching products. It is time to determine if you were right."

"You said Daylight was for the glasses of spirit."

"That is correct. This was the song for Bacardi's mojitos."

"You said We Like To Party was a commercial for 6 flags. Is that right?"

"It is indeed."

"The chocolate bar corresponded to In The Air Tonight."

"That is indeed the case. This song was used for Cadbury's commercial."

"Is We Are Young for tacos?"

"Yes. It was a commercial song for Taco Bell."

"40 points so far. Only two songs left."

"Is this the right song for a soda?"

"Unfortunately, that is incorrect. Believer was for Samsung's latest phone. The song you should have placed was Bad Day, which Coca-Cola used for one of its adverts. That means 40/60 points have been earned. A noble effort."

Jim: "Who put this song down here?"
Wendy: "I did. But how is that possible?"

Myrtle: "I thought you said you had Believer."
Eric: "I did! Or at least I thought I did."

Eddy: "This was the only song that we ignored and did not discuss."
Myrtle: "Someone must have switched the songs."
Eric: "You all saw me place this here. It wasn't me."

Wendy: "Why are all of you looking at me like that? I don't know what happened! And I'm not the only one with a wrong song. It can't be that both Eric and I lied about our songs."
Myrtle: "Somebody must have switched the songs after you had placed yours and before Eric placed his."

Jim: "That's almost the entire mission, Sherlock."

Eddy: "Let's not get hasty here. We can go back and slowly figure out what went wrong."

Wendy: "Yes. Someone is clearly making me out to be a scapegoat."
Eric: "Me too."

The group thought they had the mission in the bag, but a surprise was in store for them. Who swapped the songs, if at all? Who is the Mole?
