51.20-Preach, sister

12 contestants started this journey in Oasis Landing, and only 11 made it. While these 11 got an extra few days together, one more had to leave, and one more, and one more to give 8. From these 8 two more were executed, and one by one three more fell until only three men remained: Eddy Xenish, Jim Quince and Eric Zetsweller. Eric and Jim found 30 points each in the final mission, leading to either 60 or 30/90 points, depending on who the Mole is. This begs the question: Who is the Mole? And who will win? It's finally time to find out.

Eddy: "The best case scenario is 620 points. That's not too bad compared to previous seasons."

Eric: "Are you admitting you're the Mole?"
Eddy: "I did say best case."

Jim: "I'm pretty damn proud to be here. I hope my kid is too. I'm gonna show him how this game is done."
Eric: "Good luck with that."

Jim: "And I'll make sure to put you in your place. We'll see who gets more famous after this season."
Eddy: "You need to learn to stop giving him attention."
Eric: "What is that supposed to mean?"

Eddy: "I'm saying it's time to get ready for the final quiz."

Q30: Who is the Mole?

B: Eric Zetsweller

Eddy: "Eric went for points in the first mission. Or so he claims, since he didn't actually have anything to show for it."

Eric: "Eddy was eliminated in the second mission fairly quickly. He strikes me as someone who's more calculated and savvy than that, so how did he get himself eliminated so early?"

Jim: "In the third mission, Eric barely gave any clues. I would think it's easy to dance in sync for 15 minutes."

Eric: "Sure, Jim chose the right pony, but it didn't matter since he saw that I was in the wrong place and the mission had already failed. It was so easy for him to push the blame to me."

Jim: "One of Eddy's biggest sabotages was in Mission 5. He seemed confident of winning the bonus round but instead halved our winnings."

Eddy: "I noticed Eric moved closer and closer to the opposing team's table during the food fight. He definitely spared no expense wasting food, and I think he made sure to blame the opposing team by throwing their food instead."

Jim: "It's strange how my clues were overwhelmingly from Eddy in Mission 7, like he was targetting me. If Larry and Wendy didn't guess the right answer quickly enough Eddy would have kept going and losing points by giving too many clues."

Eddy: "I know during the last few moments of Mission 8, Jim was absent. Maybe he's the saboteur. He was definitely rushing us to not think straight."

Eric: "In the second-to-last mission, Eddy was planning something. I bet he was planning on having Myrtle take the rap of being the bad guy by nominating her to choose, expecting her to be selfish. His clues were also very similar to mine."

Jim: "How is it that in the last mission, I told Eddy the truth but Eric was the one who found the points instead? Especially since the time I gave Eddy was earlier than the one I gave Eric. This is something I can't wrap my head around."

Eric: "It took a while, but the Mole is clearly Eddy Xenish."
Jim: "The Mole is Eric Zetsweller. I'm sure of it."
Eddy: "From early on, I knew that the Mole was none other than Eric Zetsweller."

We are here at the Matinee Movie Theater for a very special occasion.

The occasion is none other than the finale of the Smole, Season 51.

The ex-contestants are gathered, excitedly awaiting the reveal to find out the answer to this question: Who is the Mole?

Bruna: "I feel scammed. I got a ticket, but it was the wrong ticket. I was the only one who brought in points. I should have made it further than the first episode."
Petunia: "Preach, sister. I'm still sure that the Mole was in the library, but I chose the wrong Mole. Clearly, the Mole must be Jim since he's the only one left."

Bruna: "I don't remember who I picked. It was really a guess. I hadn't even met anyone else other than Eric yet. So yeah, maybe it is Jim."

Myrtle: "I think the Mole is Eric. What about you?"
Preston: "Oh. I didn't even consider him at all. I thought it should be Eddy. He's the most cunning."

Larry: "Sucks that we're out, but it was a wild ride and this is a sick venue."
Wendy: "Who do you think the Mole is?"
Larry: "I was starting to suspect Eric before I was executed but Eddy seems sus too. So going with that the Mole is probably Jim."

Wendy: "I went out with Jim and I'm sticking with him."

Molly: "It's so great to see you again Cam!"
Cam: "Likewise. We finally get to find out who the Mole is. My money is on Jim."
Molly: "Oh. I was thinking it's Eddy."
Cam: "I know for certain it can't be Eric. While my main suspect was Larry, I did also put a few questions on Eric and I was executed early. So it can't be him."

George: "Jim told me the Mole was part of my team in the food fight. So the Mole should be Eric or Eddy. If only the answers were published somewhere."

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finale of the Smole, Season 51. We're all gathered here today to witness the reveal of a new winner, and a new Mole. The twelve of you have spent weeks together, trying to earn points while sleuthing simultaneously. Ultimately, three prevailed to be the finalists of the Smole, Season 51."

"Let us welcome the finalists in now."

"Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for Eddy Xenish, Jim Quince..."

"...and Eric Zetsweller!"

"Finalists, please take your seats."

"We have invited three Sims to this exclusive event as well. They are: Chet, Jim's son, Ivory, Eddy's fiancée, and Liliana, Eric's mother."

"Liliana, do you think Eric could be the Mole?"
Liliana: "Possibly. It's so sweet that he was so concerned with filling the pot but I know my son. He's usually more selfish than that. But I'm so proud of him regardless."

"Ivory, what about you? Do you think the Mole is Eddy?"
Ivory: "Yes. I can definitely see him being the Mole. He's someone who will make his problem be your problem too so that everyone works together to find a solution, so it's unlike him to stop trying and become more self-centred."

"Chet, how about you? Do you see your father as the Mole?"
Chet: "It doesn't matter if he's the Mole or not. I'm so proud of him for making it ALL THE WAY to the finale. Go Dad!"

Ivory: "Aw, how sweet and sensible of you."
Liliana: "And tactful. He'll grow up to be a great politician."

"Everyone has their own Mole in mind, but there is only one Mole this season. Which of these three astounding men is the Mole?"

"Without further ado, the Mole of Season 51, is..."

"...Eric Zetsweller!"

Eric: "Yes, I am the Mole."

"Let us welcome our Mole on stage."

Eric: "Gotcha! It's amazing being the Mole. I got to trick everyone. I went into this season wanting to be a ballsy Mole, making big, gutsy sabotages while looking all innocent. Unfortunately I think I was caught earlier than I liked, so I was restricted, but I did the best I could under these restrictions. 10/10 would do it again."

"Congratulations on being such a spectacular Mole. While some felt something wasn't quite right with you, they were unable to fully commit to you as the Mole. Only three contestants ever succeeded in doing so, which are none other than our finalists and Myrtle."

"Let's walk through your sabotages, shall we?"
Eric: "Gladly."

Eric: "I wanted to paint myself as a good guy. So I wanted to find the ticket for points, but of course fail at the last moment and get really upset about it. I wasn't worried about leaving the game at all, 'cause I was the Mole. When I bumped into Bruna I hoped to prevent her from getting points too, but as luck would have it she bumped into the right Sim at the library where I tried to waste her time."

~~~
Eric: "I think we should go for points. This is a good opportunity to do so."
Bruna: "I was thinking the same."
~~~

Eric: "GRRAAGH!"

Eric: "I blew it. I had my chance and I fucking blew it...I should have taken that exemption."

~~~
Eric: "In the second mission, I wanted to get as many questions wrong as possible, but I couldn't just answer the first three wrongly. No, that would be too easy on you guys. I needed to stay as long as possible and get everyone else to lose points. The earlier you got three strikes, the better."
~~~

Eric: "Those are all good points. We live in a practical society. We shouldn't judge a marriage based on how it started. So we all believe the majority will pick no, so we'll pick yes, right?"
Cam: "Yes."

~~~
Eric: "How do you feel?"
Petunia: "Fine, thank you."
Eric: "As an aside, this feels so much like a date right now."
Petunia: "It does?"
Eric: "Yeah. It's just the two of us, a handsome lad and a beautiful woman."
Petunia: "You're just saying that...you really think I'm beautiful?"
~~~

Eric: "But they can also help the economy. Some countries rely heavily on tobacco production, for example. We'll be creating jobs for the underprivileged."
Jim: "Do you think anyone bloody cares about the economy?"
Eric: "We don't know what the profile of the respondents are."

Jim: "I don't know why the hell you think vice activities are any good because it's clear everyone will think otherwise. Take it from me. I know better than anyone."

~~~
Myrtle: "We must look behind the meaning of this question."
Eric: "We must also think like the respondents. I don't think any of them are going to be thinking that deeply."
~~~

Molly: "We said yes so yes."

"This means that Molly gets her third strike."

~~~
Jim: "This was when I first thought Eric was weird. He was arguing an obviously bad position and it didn't make sense to me."
Eric: "I was gaining confidence. In the next mission I made sure to fail as much as possible."
~~~

Molly: "Come on, we're almost there."

Molly: "No!"
Eric: "Fuck! Sorry Molly."

~~~
Eric: "These are designer muscles! They're meant for strength, not for endurance or flexibility."
~~~

Molly: "That was a stupid excuse now that I think about it. Ugh, I'm so stupid! How did I believe him? It's so obvious on hindsight."

Petunia: "Hey! What about the books that got hidden away?"
"That was the librarian's work, not the Mole's."

Eric: "The next mission was so easy to sabotage and in fact, I didn't even need to. I was sure one of you would fail. But being passive isn't fun and I couldn't let my first go go to waste. I made sure to fail the mission right from the start. It was devilish watching all of you struggle and try your best when nothing would be earned. For the mission after that, I wanted to arrange us by age. I knew that even the oldest contestants wouldn't be familiar with 70s music, and the 30-year-olds were just born when 80s music came out."

George: "This man has never heard of a radio. It's not like music disappears once the era ends."

Eric: "My group had so much fun. Too much fun, so nobody was thinking of the points lost per second. Sucks that Jim eventually chose Eddy over me for the bonus round but Eddy helped to waste our efforts so it wasn't a complete failure."

~~~
Eric: "I played my part~"
Wendy: "And you played your game~"
Molly: "You give love a bad name~"
Wendy: "Wait, how long were we singing for?"
Eric: "Oh no. Quick. The song is You Give Love A Bad Name."
"That is correct."
~~~

Eric: "The food fight was great because everyone was focused on the exemption. I thought, hey, why not help out the other team? Instead of throwing my team's food, I threw the other team's food so that they looked bad for wasting food. In the chaos I even attacked some of my own teammates and nobody noticed."

~~~
George: "Argh! I have been hit."
~~~

Eric: "Things are about to get sloppy."

~~~
Eric: "At the Boardwalk I tried my hardest to get clues, especially the vague ones. The more clues, the more likely we would start losing points. I just didn't expect Larry and Wendy to be so smart. I would say my biggest sabotage came in the next mission though. Wendy and my songs were swapped. So someone must have sabotaged us to make us look bad. Well, that someone was me. Didn't expect the Mole to make himself look bad, did you? But I just couldn't resist. Everyone had left the song in the music player so while nobody was watching I swapped that song with the closest one I could find, which was Wendy's song."
~~~

Eddy: "This was the only song that we ignored and did not discuss."
Myrtle: "Someone must have switched the songs."
Eric: "You all saw me place this here. It wasn't me."

~~~
Wendy: "What? I can't believe I was tricked by this. And Eric and I even agreed to help each other find the Sim who swapped our songs. How embarrassing."
Eric: "At the Simhenge, I made use of the secret note on my card and played it up. It was convenient that Eddy had the 12 Apostles and I had 12. I made sure to make my secret note sound truthful to add credibility to it and to mudsling Eddy. It didn't work out as planned and we managed to get all the points somehow. So my backup plan was to be nominated to enter the building and obviously pick the clue. It didn't work either, but I hoped that Myrtle would sacrifice the points for me."
~~~

Eric: "Then it must be the hardest."
Eddy: "Why do I feel like you're pitting yourself against me?"
Eric: "Because I know you lied about one of your cards."
Jim: "Interesting."

Eddy: "I didn't. Which card did I lie about?"
Eric: "The one that's the same as mine."
Myrtle: "Maybe it's possible neither of you lied."

~~~
"Myrtle, you claimed you took 150 points. Now is the time to come clean. What did you really take?"
Myrtle: "I was telling the truth. I did take 150 points. I did contemplate the clue because I was torn between Eddy and Eric, but I decided that a clue wasn't worth 150 points."
Eric: "For my last sabotage, I wasn't aware of where the other points were. But I felt that Clyde's Hideout would be a good hiding place, so I went there first. I ended up finding the points just before Eddy came and prevented him from finding the points. Must have been confusing to think Jim thought he was the Mole."
~~~

Eric: "If I had to hide points, where would I hide it?"

Eric: "Ugh...the dumpster. It must be there."

Eric: "Based on when we started, the earliest points have to be at 9pm. So I should see some points somewhere."

Eric: "Jackpot."

Eric: "Time to get rid of these points."

Eric: "Bye bye points."

~~~
Eddy: "I'm here. What time is it?"
Eddy: "It's about 9."
Eddy: "I bet the points are somewhere down at the docks."
Eric: "Fuck! Someone's coming. I need to get out of here."
~~~

Eric: "I didn't manage to throw all the points away but it's a good thing nobody bothered to check. Not that it would have mattered. I found the points so they go to me anyway."

Jim: "It was strange how Eric found the points and not Eddy, but now I understand. Not that it would have changed my mind but I did pause for a while in the quiz because of it."

"We now know that in the final mission, those 30 points you collected don't go to the winner, but to you. But what about the penultimate mission?"

~~~
Eddy: "If Myrtle is chosen for the surprise, she will lie about it. That means we can't choose her."
~~~

Myrtle: "I saw a closet. I opened it, and got 150 points."
"Congratulations to the group."

~~~
Eric: "That means there are 590/1000 points in the pot. Eric, your name was put down on the quizzes 19 times, so Eric, you get 391,000 Simoleons this season. Congratulations."
Liliana: "So proud of my boy."
"This means the winner gets 609,000 Simoleons. We now know who the Mole is, and that both Eddy and Jim caught the Mole, but who is the winner?"
"The official winner of the Smole, Season 51, is..."
"...Jim Quince!"
Jim: "What the fuck?"
Larry: "Bro, you won! Go up to the stage!"
Chet: "Yes! Dad won! Go Dad!"
"Let us welcome Jim on stage!"
Jim: "This...no way."
Jim: "I'm still trying to process this win. I thought I was toast after that last quiz. There were many questions I didn't know the answer to and had to guess or use common knowledge. I didn't prepare a speech. Just...just know that I hope I did ya proud, son. I'll use this money to give us a better life."
"Congratulations, Jim. You were the first to catch Eric and thus win 609,000 Simoleons! In fact, every quiz, you put only one name down, and that was Eric. You are truly a deserving winner."
"Thank you Jim. Let's not forget our honorable mention and runner-up, Eddy Xenish."
Eddy: "It feels awesome standing here."
Eddy: "It was indeed a hard quiz. I stumbled on some of the questions and I guess I lost out in the end. But Jim is a worthy opponent. It was at the double execution where I began to lock on to Eric. During the meeting with my food team, George mentioned that Jim suspected one of the four of us. I realised that Jim must have suspected Eric too. And after the double execution, it was very clear that Eric was the Mole. So I tried to switch tactics to confuse Jim and keep him close to me so that he would never be alone with Eric. But it didn't work and he won. Good job to Jim and good job to Eric."
"Eddy, you were a remarkable player and had a lot of strategy. You also caught the Mole very early, just one quiz after Jim did. You also lost out to Jim by 1 in the final quiz. Congratulations on a good game."
"Let us give another round of applause to our finalists."
"Jim and Eddy found the Mole, but for those of you who needed more help, we had clues."
Eric as the Time Keeper
Eric as the Trendsetter
"Our first clue is in the first episode. Eric was present in the utopian timeline, but he was also present in the other two timelines as statues."
"Our second clue was in the second episode. When Eric was taking the quiz, he had a green mouse. Green is the colour of safety on the Smole, indicating that Eric was always safe as he was the Mole."
"The next clue is in Episode 5. Behind one of the plaques was a hidden set of books to find that would provide a hidden exemption for the one who completed the set. Three books had to be found: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Sister, Sister, and Red River Ransom. These books were authored by Erics (Eric Carle, Eric Dickey and Eric Wilson)."
"In Episode 11, there were two clues. The first is a photo of Eric's bicep in the hallway."
"The second is the fact that Eric was seen completely naked but his genitals cannot be seen. This clue also appeared in other episodes, such as Episode 10 and Episode 14. Eric is a model but his 'D' cannot be seen. A MODEL without a D gives MOEL. Rearrange that to give MOLE."
Eric: "Want some poison?"
"In Episode 16, Eric was seen pouring wine to Wendy. This is a reference to the trailer. Except in the trailer, Wendy refused the drink, but in the episode, she accepted it. Wendy was later executed that episode. Hence, it could be said that Eric the Mole 'poisoned' her, both literally and figuratively as he misled her into thinking he as innocent. He even told Wendy he was 'poisoning' her to her face."
"The next clue was in Mission 9. If Myrtle or another contestant had chosen to enter the room with clues instead, they would see the following. The clue is on the left. The dirt surrounding the plants is shaped like a '3'. If you flip this '3' around, it resembles an 'E': E for Eric."
Larry: "Has he been telling me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?"
"That mission had another clue. Eric's first item was 12. This is a reference to Episode 12: The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Out of all the secret notes in Mission 9, only the one pertaining to Eric was true. He knew the answer to Question 7 of the next quiz as the was the Mole and knew the answer to himself."
"The last clue spans the whole season. This season, the options for the last question of the quizzes were jumbled. The clue can be found every 2 quizzes."
