60.16-That's authoritarianism

In the last episode, Luis and Virginia enjoyed an afternoon at Little Corsican Bistro, eating a total of 6,380 calories which the rest had to burn at the gym. They only succeeded in burning 5939 calories, with the remainder offsetting the points earned to a net of 110/178 points, or 521/858 points. Mariana claimed an exemption from the prize pool thanks to her bingo, keeping her safe from the next execution. Who will be executed instead? Who is the Mole?

Maru: "Kearney is usually very guarded about his possessions but I managed to sneak a peek at his journal while he was showering and I found out that it's blank! He doesn't write in his journal at all? I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I mean Mitch writes, but I don't."

Mariana: "Hello, what are you doing here? Ooh, are you writing in your journal?"
Virginia: "I am. I find it terribly vexing that there isn’t a proper study desk to write on."
Mariana: "That's a lot that you have written there."
Virginia: "The more I write, the more vivid the picture I paint. It’s far easier to remember when you weave it into a story."
Mariana: "Like a memory palace."

Virginia: "Stop trying to sneak a peek."
Mariana: "Oopsy, I got caught."
Virginia: "Have you no integrity?"
Mariana: "Oh it's not that serious. It's all a game. I can give you my journal if you want."
Virginia: "Why would I want yours?"
Mariana: "Who knows? Maybe I have something you don't know."
Virginia: "I trust only the words I write."

Mariana: "Where are you going?"
Virginia: "Somewhere with more privacy."
Mariana: "Good luck with that."

Kearney: "Would you look at that? Trenton is actually being studious for once."
Trenton: "I don't have a choice. I have no coalition."
Kearney: "Feeling insecure?"

Trenton: "Yes, actually. It feels like nobody is taking me seriously or with respect."
Kearney: "Respect is earned."
Trenton: "Respect is also accumulated through generations."

Trenton: "All those decades of building up the Alto name, and they think nothing of it. They think just because their ancestors founded the colony, they can do whatever they want."
Kearney: "That sounds fair to me."
Trenton: "That's authoritarianism."

Kearney: "Then change it. If you don't like it, work to change it. If you feel insecure, work to change it. Don't settle with the lot you were given in life."
Trenton: "You know what? You're absolutely right. I should form an opposition party! Who likes Patricia's stuffy policies anyway? Trickle-down economics is the way to go. And her husband is just an old man who's relying on her wife's family name too! He didn't get to the top because of his own merits!"

Luis: "To be young and foolish."

Luis: "Let me give you some advice. When I was younger, I used to not care about anything, but as an adult I grew insecure too, about my height, my weight, my girth, my success. But then, when you're at my age, you stop giving a damn. You worry about this and that...enjoy life, you know?"

Trenton: "So you're saying I should just accept the way Lunar Lakes is run? Patricia and Alexander are going to drive it to the ground!"
Luis: "How?"
Trenton: "They want to revamp the tax to become a progressive model!"
Kearney: "That's fair. It's all about meritocracy."
Trenton: "Those who have more money deserve to keep more money."
Kearney: "You didn't earn it. You got it through your family name as an Alto."

Trenton: "I can't believe my wife is still on their side. She only became popular and well-known because of her marriage to me. Without my connections, she couldn't get to be a resident. Now she's being ungrateful and not supporting me. And my son, don't get me started on him. He just wastes his time playing the guitar all day."

Luis: "Why don't you stop being an ingrate and start loving your wife and son more?"

Trenton: "What?"
Luis: "You don't know how lucky you are to have a wife and kid. I have to accept that I'll probably never find romance at this age."

Trenton: "Do you think I'm being selfish too, Kearney?"
Kearney: "I think everyone has a say in their destiny and how their future will change. Luis feels it's time to relax because he's worked hard to be successful with his restaurant and found a worthy successor. If he didn't, he would be singing a different tune today."

Kearney: "Everyone has a different path to take. I can't speak for you but for me, my goal is to be the ultimate best. To be better than my fellow man and to be better than my own brother. Which I am. But I won't rest on my laurels because I know that means someday I'll be overtaken."

Kearney: "So whether or not you decide to get revenge or leave it to fate, that is your choice."
Luis: "He's got that right at least."

Trenton: "I'm going to get my son involved in politics. He'll become the next leader of Lunar Lakes and do what I cannot."

Maru: "You useless piece of shit! You want to be looked down on forever?"

Maru: "You know others look at you funny, right? You like it when others look at you funny?"

Maru: "But you tried to blackmail Francisca! You scared her!"

Francisca: "Maru? Who are you talking to?"

Francisca: "...You're not Maru."

Francisca: "You're Mitch."

Mitch: "Bingo. Why are you afraid of me, princess? Afraid I'll tell someone about your little secret?"

Mitch: "I'm still waiting for the money you know."
Francisca: "We're on a show. My hands are tied."

Mitch: "I'm hearing excuses. Bla bla bla."

Mitch: "I see the fear in your eyes. Good. Very good. You should fear me. Don't you wish your guards were here? Or your knight in shining armour? Maybe you should have stayed in your royal palace than to wander out on your own, princess."

Maru: "Ah ah ah, you're not going anywhere."
Francisca: "Stay away from me!"
Kearney: "What's going on?"

Maru: "If telling the whole world isn't enough, there are worse things I can do to you. The bounty I get for turning you in will be less, but the satisfaction watching you squirm helplessly will be so. much. more."
Kearney: "Get away from her!"

Francisca: "Kearney!"
Maru: "Look at that, you do have a knight in shining armour after all."

Maru: "Stay out of this."
Kearney: "She was crying out in despair! I cannot let that go Maru!"
Francisca: "He's not Maru."

Maru: "You want to play the hero? Come at me."

Kearney: "Get to safety, Francisca. I don't want you to see this. Go!"

Francisca: "Be careful."

Maru: "Rragh!"
Kearney: "Rragh!"

Kearney: "I will vanquish you!"

Maru: "Couldn't dodge fast enough, huh?"
Kearney: "Uff!"

Kearney: "Remember what they taught you...remember Breandan's special move..."

Maru: "How you like that? I'll teach you a lesson on who not to mess with."

Maru: "AARGH! MY EYES!"

Maru: "AARGH!"
Kearney: "Rragh!"

Kearney: "You forced my hand!"

Maru: "Ugh!"
Kearney: "Down!"

Kearney: "I am victorious!"
Maru: "I knew Maru should have trained more..."

Maru: "Ugh...what's going on? Why am I on the floor?"

Maru: "Dude, why are you straddling me?"
Kearney: "I didn't kick your head. You shouldn't have gotten a concussion."

*

Kearney: "I never knew Maru was such a monster! Francisca is in grave danger. I must protect her from now on."

"Contestants, this is not your first night here, but for the first time, we have fewer Sims on the chopping block. Mariana has an exemption from her bingo, keeping her safe tonight. Tonight we have another tie, but now it is between two of you. Who will see a red light?"

"Luis Toledo."

Francisca: "The best place for the Mole to sabotage is at the bistro. They have a convenient excuse to eat as much as possible under the guise of trying to make more points, but also so much more excess calories and points to lose."

Luis: "Ow my neck hurts and I wasn't even the one exercising."

"Kearney O'Shea."

Mariana: "Kearney was focusing on strength exercises rather than cardio. He looked like he was working hard but he didn't help lose a lot of calories."

Kearney: "Victorious yet again."

"Trenton Alto."

Kearney: "Trenton was the weakest link in the mission. Had he actually put in more effort, we could have burned all the calories and prevented a loss of points."

"Unfortunately, Trenton Alto, you have been executed. Please pack your bags and leave."

Virginia: "Mr. Alto and I were so different, yet so alike. We both came from privilege and shared a determination to achieve our goals, no matter the cost."

*
*
*

Virginia: "We are both of high society. Why did you do this?"

*
*
*

Trenton: "Things were finally looking up, only for it to come crashing down straight to Earth. I don't think I'm cut out for this game but that's fine. I don't need to be good at the Smole to prove myself. There are other avenues for me to tap into."

*
*
*

Maru: "My memory's a little hazy but my impression of Trenton was that he was a great buddy and very social. Smart too."

*
*
*

Trenton: "I know just what to do."

*
*
*

Trenton: "Coming back to the past is so surreal after living on the moon for my whole life. I enjoyed seeing how modern and progressive our society was even in the 21st century. Everything was a learning experience and I will take this treasured memories back to Lunar Lakes to share with the colony."

*
*
*

Francisca: "I felt that Trenton knew how he was going to play the game and leveraged his skillset to his advantage. He could not always beat the rest in the missions, so he worked to form coalitions and negotiations in his favour, bringing him so far into the game."

*
*
*

Trenton: "We can work together as a coalition. You give me an out today, I'll repay the favour tomorrow."

*
*
*

"Thank you for joining, Trenton. We hope to see you again."

*
*

The Lunar Lakes man has been removed from the game! Was he the Mole? If not, who is the Mole?
