52.16-Like a sailor to the siren

More than 2 weeks have passed since the ten contestants first started the Smole. 618/1000 points have been earned and that's for the winner to take. But with the finalists having just lost their main suspect, it's still anyone's guess as to who will walk away with the money. Dotty and Sabrina had to rescue Deborah from the Sun Temple in 3 hours but failed to do so, thus not earning the last 170 points. But the points are quickly forgotten as they focus on the most important quiz in two weeks. Who will be the winner? Who is the Mole?

Dotty: "It took us so long to finally realise we were onto the wrong Mole this whole time. It means the Mole is someone who is innocent-looking. There is this particular contestant who did well in portraying herself as an innocent lady early on, so that when she could sabotage more in the later missions, we would keep discounting her. And she succeeded. But now I've opened my eyes wide and I see you, Mole."

Sabrina: "I looked back at the very first page of my journal. Both the other women have done sabotages but one of them is in a better position to control more than the other. Spreading may have saved me from being executed so I'm thinking of spreading again on the final quiz. Now that I'm in the finale, I'm here to win for my personal glory."

Deborah: "I made the wrong pick but now I have a 50-50 shot of choosing the right Mole. Being separated from the others in the last mission puts me at a disadvantage. Looking st the pot, we did fairly well. This makes the most sense if one Sim was the Mole more than the other as she was the one who tried to take big points out of the pot several times but failed. I actually suspected her at one point but I was constantly misled by other contestants. I should have noticed in hindsight but better late than never."

Sabrina: "In the first mission, Deborah refused to answer the question about whether she was divorced although she kept mentioning it afterwards. I had to guess who the divorcee was."

Dotty: "Sabrina actually sabotaged in the second mission by risking the song instead of being her usual cautious self, but we all pinned the blame on Venis."

Deborah: "It wasn't easy to escape from prison as Maurice was fast and Venis too. But somehow Dotty managed to evade them and take 20 points out of the pot at the same time. She was also very eager to solve the riddle to escape our cell and made connections that one would only make if one had foreknowledge."

Dotty: "I don't think any one can believe Sabrina when she said she thought a bird was Simon. Simon was talking to us. We could see his face. He was very much a Sim. It was such a blatant sabotage that we ignored."

Deborah: "Dotty was eager to be a part of the first group in the fifth mission. That's where the most damage could be done by giving us as few answers as possible."

Dotty: "Deborah was the only one who couldn't complete her test in Mission 6. Was it too obvious? Maybe. But we still dismissed it anyway."

Deborah: "Dotty insisted that she wasn't the donor in Mission 7. As the Mole, of course you don't want anyone to get the right answer."

Sabrina: "Deborah said she tried to find a way out. But that means she wanted to escape without us and lose the points."

"Welcome to the finale of the Smole, Season 52! We are gathered here in this elegant hall to unmask the Mole of the 52nd season."

"Ten contestants got to know one another on a deeper level. Unfortunately, the information proved too much for Gina as she was the first to be executed. We continued with nine, but musician Cole was beguiled by the Mole like a sailor to the siren and we were left with eight."

"Five contestants escaped their fate in the cell, yet Venis could not escape his. And Elise, the princess of Soleunda, found herself trapped to do Simon and the Mole's bidding."

"Six were left. Maurice paid no heed to trivia or wisdom, and execution finally caught up to him. The old priest Archibald yearned to follow in Maurice's footsteps, and follow he did. With four remaining, Seth chose to bow out, giving way to the final three women."

"Welcome back to the Smole."

"Gina, how does it feel being the first to go home?"
Gina: "I took it easier than I thought. I was barely there so I wasn't heavily invested in it. I took it as a one-day excursion. Like that time..."
"In the interest of time we will stop you there."

Gina: "I think the Mole isn't Venis, Seth or Dotty. I didn't see anything strange from them. I think the Mole could be Archibald. Information always seemed to get stuck at that point."

"You thought that Archibald was the Mole. We now know that he isn't. Who do you think the Mole is?"
Gina: "How embarrassing. I don't know who it could be because I am very detached from the game now, but if I had to guess I'll pick Dotty because of the impact."

"In the first quiz, Gina was suspected twice. Two other contestants were suspected twice: Elise and Archibald. Gina lost out on time and narrowly missed the mark. There were two contestants who scored 1 out of 10 and should have gone home but were not the critical contestants. One of them is our fellow finalist. The other is Venis."

"Venis, you came here with a goal in mind."
Venis: "I did, and learning that I could have been executed instead of Gina is scary. I'm glad I survived and got far enough to uncover more truths. I got a chance to speak to Blaze when I was executed and she told me to observe a little while more before jumping to conclusions."

Venis: "The Mole is Maurice. 100%."

"You gambled everything on Maurice and lost. It's not Maurice. Who do you think the Mole is now?"
Venis: "Sabrina. She's a very opinionated woman who tries to drive things, and as the Mole, she can drive things in the wrong direction."

"Venis made himself very suspicious and he became the critical contestant in the second quiz and survived. Elise, you were one of those who suspected him."
Elise: "I did. I thought I couldn't ignore how the errors he and Sabrina made with the songs."
"Do you think Sabrina is the Mole or do you think it's someone else?"
Elise: "I know Sabrina. I don't think she's it. I don't think any of them are it, if I'm being honest. But Dotty is an actress, so maybe I'll go with her."

Cole: "I still think the Mole this season is a woman. I don't think Deborah has it in her. I played it safely and went for the majority. I'm only picking Sabrina because I have to."

"Cole, you suspected Sabrina too when you left."
Cole: "I wouldn't put it that way. I just thought the Mole was a woman and so I thought Sabrina was most likely to be the one."
"Do you still think it's her, and you only lost because you didn't answer enough questions on her?"
Cole: "I still don't think Deborah has it in her so I'll agree with Elise and pick Dotty."

Elise: "I had three initial suspects. Two of them were executed, so that just leaves Seth. I discussed this with Maurice and he agrees it is him too. I'm so glad I have him with me."

"What did you mean by that, Elise?"
Elise: "Maurice was my coalition partner and...a very good friend. As you know, things happened and I was very distraught. He helped me to get through that quiz and even though I failed I think I would have fared much worse if not for him."
"How have you been coping?"
Elise: "I'm much better now. Thank you for your concern. I used the time off the Smole wisely to take a break and enjoy myself as an ordinary Soleundan citizen for the time being. I'm now rejuvenated."

"And you, Cole? How has life been for you since your execution?"
Cole: "As per normal. It really sucks that I was executed so early but it is what it is. It means I get more time to do things I love."

"Elise was the fourth to be executed. She was not the critical contestant and only received one vote in the quiz, but unfortunately for her, that one vote was enough."

"As Elise said, she really trusted you, Maurice. You caused quite a bit of a stir on the show. Care to comment?"
Maurice: "Yeah, not really. Open relationships exist and I think everyone should mind their own business. Especially Deborah. Look how upset she made everyone!"

"Do you think the Mole is Deborah?"
Maurice: "I never have. I never actually put any thought into the quizzes and tried to speedrun it. Since so many are picking Dotty as the Mole, then I guess I'll go for her too."

Maurice: "I don't actually suspect Deborah. I just want to put her name down so that she has a higher chance of being executed for what she did to Elise."

"Archibald, you left behind more questions than answers at your execution. Everyone wants to know if you really are a priest or if you meddled in the history of Soleunda."
Archibald: "Of course I'm a priest. I only said what I said to Sabrina because she didn't believe me and I wanted to sow the seeds of suspicion."
"Yet you still suspected her as the Mole."

Archibald: "I have been observing and observing but I cannot find enough clues. I believe the Mole is either Sabrina or Seth, or maybe even Dotty, but I don't know enough yet to choose one of the three."

Archibald: "I didn't just suspect her. I suspected everyone else left too except Deborah but you can only pick one answer for that last question."
"Who do you think the Mole is, then?"
Archibald: "I always felt Dotty was fake. Her being in the finale confirms my suspicions that she's actually the Mole."

"Last but not least, Seth. You shocked everyone by quitting. Do you regret the decision?"
Seth: "I tell myself not to as I already made the choice. I was just very, very tired and confused and I thought I was the only one to be confused. It turns out that's not the case."
"You would actually the last critical contestant of the season. You could have survived the execution too. In fact, you were the highest scoring contestant in that quiz."
Seth: "No...really?"

Seth: "Sabrina spoke to me before the quiz and she really messed with my head. Nothing was going into my head no matter how I studied so I relied on my gut. I made a guess that Sabrina is the Mole because she would be the best fit personality-wise and she often tries to get control, but I have no clue at this point."

"Do you still stand by that choice?"
Seth: "My mind is in a mess right now. Did I really get it right by suspecting Sabrina? But I answered a lot of questions wrongly, so maybe, maybe the Mole is actually Deborah."

"We shall find out. The three finalists are standing in front of you, waiting to be unmasked. Each of them suspected a different finalist. Without further ado, it is time to reveal the runner-up of the Smole, Season 52."

"Ladies and gentlemen, the runner-up of the Smole, Season 52, is..."

"...Deborah Rizona!"

Seth: "I got the wrong Mole. I just knew I would have lost anyway."
"Deborah, share with us what you're feeling right now."
Deborah: "It's a mixed bag of feelings. I'm feeling joyous for being able to get to the end of the season and take the final quiz, but at the same time I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed by the outcome."

"Perhaps you should feel grateful too, because the one who would have been executed right before the finale was you, Deborah. And the one who tied with Venis for the lowest in the first quiz was none other than you as well."
Gina: "Oh!"
Venis: "She really lucked out."
Cole: "Why couldn't I have been as lucky."

Deborah: "I did not realise I did so poorly as I have. However, I tried my best and that's what matters the most. I have shown that I am not a force to be reckoned with."

"That is true indeed. We know that Deborah isn't the Mole and in fact, she had been only suspected once by Maurice, and even then it wasn't a true suspicion. Likewise, the Mole this season has been extremely difficult to catch and nobody could confidently say that she is the Mole. Is the Mole Sabrina Regis, who a few of you thought could be the Mole but probably wasn't? Or is the Mole Dotty Regis, who some of you only came to realise as a possibility sitting here today?"

"Dotty and Sabrina were once roommates and coalition partners. They never once suspected each other, a strategic choice to bring them both to the finale. In each other's eyes, the other could not be the Mole. But she is. And this Sim finally realised after more than two weeks, and finally put her name down for the first time in all her quizzes."

"Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the Smole, Season 52, is none other than..."

"...Sabrina Regis!"

Cole: "Woo! You go girl!"
Maurice: "Good job, Sabrina!"
Elise: "I knew you would win."

"Sabrina, the 618 points in the pot and the bragging rights are all yours. How do you feel?"
Sabrina: "It was a difficult journey but I played all my cards right and that allowed me to survive despite being the critical contestant several times. I studied diligently and made sure to consider all possibilities which was what helped me to quickly learn that the real Mole was Dotty all along. I hate to admit this but I have to hand it to her for making it very difficult to catch her, but that just makes victory all that sweeter."
"Congratulations Sabrina."

"The Mole has finally been unmasked for the first time this entire season. Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for your Mole Dotty McLottie!"

Cole: "WOO! You're on fire babe!"
"Dotty, you did a terrific job. Throughout the whole season, absolutely nobody put your name down in the quiz up until Sabrina did in the final quiz. The only one to even come close to suspecting you was Archibald, but he wasn't convinced of it either. What do you have to say to that?"
Dotty: "I would first like to thank all of you for making this such a wonderful and enjoyable season. I also want to thank Hottie and all my fans for their unwavering support. Of course, I want to give my congratulations to Deborah and Sabrina too for playing such a great game and Sabrina for catching onto me in the end. The decision to be the Mole came after careful consideration. Would it impact my career and public perception or push me to greater heights? Thoughts like these floated in my mind but I decided that it was going to be a rare opportunity with positive benefits. I have no regrets in joining the Smole as the Mole. Thank you."

"Thank you Dotty. You were only suspected once, so you get to earn 384,000 Simoleons, while Sabrina, you get 619,000 Simoleons! What do you plan to do with the money?"
Sabrina: "Use it to rebuild my family fortune. We are overdue for a bigger house. Hopefully my horses haven't been sold off yet either. I want to buy them back."
Dotty: "I'm donating all of it to charity."
Sabrina: "Way to make me look bad."

"At this point, all of you must be curious: just what did the Mole do to sabotage the pot yet remain so undetected? It's time to answer that question."

"Dotty's strategy was to earn a little bit each time so as not to be suspected but never enough for a full pot. This strategy paid off, especially with a twist like this. In the first mission, Dotty wanted to get her side of the chain to answer approximately 6 questions correctly each, just slightly above average to remain undetected. She passed own her own information to make herself look cooperative while at the same time withholding the questions and answers from others. She also surreptitiously changed a few questions when they were being passed along so that the answers would be wrong."

Gina: "In that case, can you help me ask when Elise's mother died? Or what Sabrina's father accuses her of?"

Dotty: "I have a question for you from Gina. When did Elise's mother die and what does Sabrina accuse her father of?"

"In the second mission she knew that she would be pushed to the judges' group given her background and hobbies. As a judge, she identified wrong lines--even if they weren't actually wrong--while letting a few slip by. She also made sure to misconstrue my instructions so that it seemed like the judges were the ones to earn points, thus motivating Cole and Maurice. She also wanted them to rehearse all the Lady Gaga songs to be able to contribute to the sabotage."

Dotty: "So the more lines we identify, the more money we can make and  we get a shot at an exemption. Sounds like a win-win situation."

Dotty: "On the hard?"

Dotty: "The lyrics are so nonsensical that I think that's wrong too."

Monica: "I hear the rain drops coming down."
Dotty: "I remember the ending. It's thunder, not raindrops."

"In the third mission, Dotty was the one who assigned the points each robber was worth. She did not want to give herself too many points so that even if she failed to escape, she wouldn't bring that much money into the pot. She was also very diligent at trying to solve the riddle to break out of the cell, giving the right nudge at the right time, so that everyone would have more time to escape. Before she escaped, she also changed the colour of the lights on the suns, preventing points from being earned."

Dotty: "I don't think the name is important."

Dotty: "Oh! This reminds me of the mirror. When I was looking in the mirror I saw double of the menu. So if we assume that this is a double..."

"No bonus points are earned with the suns as they are not coloured in the order of the rainbow."

"Dotty did her best in the next mission because doing her best would lose points, especially if she did them quickly. Of course, she made sure to make a few errors here and there to cause the alarms on the other contestants to ring, alerting the ninjas to their presence. The biggest sabotage she did in this mission was to overpower Elise and Deborah at the megaphones and confuse them so that they would lose counts of how many words remaining they had to say."

Dotty: "One two three four five six seven eight nine ten."
Deborah: "One two three four five six seven eight nine ten."

Elise: "Wait, which iteration am I at now? All the numbers are confusing me."
Dotty: "You just used a few words."
Elise: "So did you. How many words did I use?"

Samuel: "I hear an alarm."

"Dotty made sure to get herself into the Jeopardy group in Mission 5. She answered some questions correctly so that some points could be earned but also made sure that she got strategic questions wrong to prevent the group from earning points no matter what, such as with the gemstone question. Knowing that Archibald, Sabrina and Deborah would know the answers to the questions about Soleunda, she made sure to answer them wrongly every chance she got, using the excuse of not being a native."

Host: "This gemstone may be confused with rubies, but is of the beryl mineral species like emeralds."
Dotty: "These questions are too difficult. What would be confused with rubies? Bloodstone? I'm guessing what is bloodstone?"

Host: "Incorrect. The correct answer is red beryl."
Dotty: "But the answer was in the question. That's misleading."

Dotty: "You mentioned emeralds and there was a question about emeralds. Maybe...what are emeralds?"

Host: "That is incorrect. The answer is Alexandrite."

"Dotty did not sabotage the next mission as she was feeling unwell. In the mission after that, she tried to destroy the order the group had created, such as by placing random toddlers in high chairs so that they would be ignored and putting kids together so that they would play and be noisy, thus annoying the others. When she had the chance to be alone with the photos, Dotty made sure to match a few of the faces incorrectly on purpose, which caused several children to be taken away by social services, making it look like Seth was entirely responsible for the sudden loss in children. Her plan was to let the group earn only a small amount from the matching of parents and not let them identify her as the donor, which was foiled when Deborah gave the answer anyway."

Seth: "The two of you are definitely twins. The father has strong genes. Dotty, come help me here. Who do you see in these two kids?"

Dotty: "I see you, Seth."
Seth: "Really?"

Dotty: "See, Seth? What if the first baby you found was our answer? Maybe you're the donor."

Dotty: "Do you think it's better to focus on identifying as many half-parents as possible? At least we'll get something. It's difficult to identify the parents when their features aren't fully formed."

Seth: "We think you could be the donor. Do these kids look like you?"
Dotty: "No. His forehead's too big."

Dotty: "Her eyes and mouth are too big."

Dotty: "Are they gone?"

Dotty: "Good. Now let's see. This baby is dark-skinned so they obviously can't be the parents. So I'm going to lock this in as the answer."

Deborah: "Seth, what happened to all the children?"
Seth: "The social workers came and took a lot of them. I'm sorry. I can't even take care of kids right. But I didn't expect so many of them to be taken away."

Seth: "No, don't take another one away!"

"In the final mission, Dotty tried to waste time as much as possible while blaming Sabrina for being too meticulous and losing time. Seeing an opportunity, Dotty locked Sabrina in the kitchen and went off to relax."

Dotty: "What about me? There must be another way in."

Dotty: "Or maybe not. It's not my problem. I have a baby to take care of so I should go find somewhere to rest."

Gina: "How did I not realise she changed my question?"
Venis: "Damn Dotty. You're devious."

Cole: "Even though I lost I'm glad I lost to a pretty and smart woman like Dotty."

Maurice: "I was too caught up with the missions to realise she was sabotaging."
Archibald: "I had my suspicions early on. I wish I had acted on them earlier."

"We've seen Dotty's sabotages but for most of you, they were too difficult to find. As such, we have clues to help you find Dotty the Mole too."

"The first clue is in every execution ceremony. In the first mission, each contestant received a list of questions, each pertaining to a contestant. At the execution ceremonies, the executed contestant's order is the same as the question number that pertains to Dotty on their list."

Gina was the third to be called when she was executed. Dotty was the third question on her list.

Cole was the seventh to be called when he was executed in the next execution ceremony. Dotty was the seventh question on his list.

Venis was the sixth to be called when he was executed. Dotty was the sixth question on his list.

Elise was the fifth to be called when she was executed. Dotty was the fifth question on her list.

Maurice was the fourth to be called when he was executed. Dotty was the fourth question on his list.

Archibald was the first to be called when he was executed. Dotty was the first question on his list.

"During the season, we could see a lot of turquoise elements. This doesn't refer to Sabrina who likes aqua, but rather to Dotty through her birthdate. We see the importance of gemstones in the season. Dotty is born on 14 December 1996, a Saturday, so her birthstone would be a turquoise."

In Episode 3, the first song had turquoise lights.

In Episode 5, the latches on the beds are turquoise.

We first see the dungeon in Episode 6. In the castle, the dungeon's lights were actually red, but they have been deliberately changed to turquoise.

In Episode 9, the room Maurice and Dotty were in had turquoise lights.

In Episode 11, there is a turquoise gem on the bar in Soleunda's Siren.

"Whenever Dotty is at a mirror, Dotty's reflection at the mirror instead of her actual self, suggesting that Dotty may be two-faced or playing two roles."

In Episode 5, we only see Dotty's reflection.

We again see Dotty's reflection in the mirror in Episode 13.

"Mission 3 contained a lot of clues to Dotty in the form of numbers."

The menu had the following items:
Celery: U.P. 2000 Simoleons
Leek: U.P. 1400 Simoleons
Red wine: U.P. 20000 Simoleons
Uncle Bob's Special Mix: 10324 Simoleons
Life Fruit Basket: 30000 Simoleons
Breakfast Set: 4000 Simoleons

It was also mentioned that prices have been doubled, and later Dotty mentions that the menu can be seen twice in the mirror. Hence, the menu can be seen a total of 4 times. Adding up the numbers 4 times wil give 270896. Dotty's mansion in Soleunda is valued at 270896 Simoleons.

The code to get out of the cell was 22. Dotty's house is called Drummond Essex 3883. The sum of those digits gives 22. In addition, it can be viewed that 3883 is a palindrome and the code is derived by viewing the raises on the floor as a palindrome, or by placing a mirror vertically in the centre.

In the bottom-right corner of the maze, the number 53 can be seen. The '3' is also much smaller, hence it should be read as '5'^3, or '555'. Dotty's mansion is at 555 Downtown Avenue.

"Also in Mission 3, there was an autograph under the bed. It was signed as Hannah but discerning fans would realise that it was actually Dotty's handwriting."

"In Mission 6, the gym and boat would be the best place to be for clues. Hottie McLottie, Dotty's husband, could be seen."

Hottie McLottie at the port.

Hottie McLottie's photo is at the other pull-up bar in the gym.

"In Mission 7, the number of babies Dotty had with each contestant is the last mission they were in a group together up to that point."

Cole and Dotty last grouped together in Mission 2, hence Cole and Dotty had two babies.

The last time Archibald, Sabrina and Seth grouped together was in Mission 3. Dotty has 3 children with Archibald, Sabrina and Seth respectively.

The last time Elise and Deborah worked together with Dotty was in Mission 4. Dotty has 4 children with each of them.

Maurice and Dotty worked together last in Mission 5. Dotty and Maurice have 5 children.

"The next clue is in the final mission. At one point in time a red dot could be seen. Dotty likes red and polka dots. To make it more obvious, the red dot is right next to her."

"The final clue is also in the final mission which Dotty made herself. She actually wrote 'I am the Mole' on one of the cards, waiting for someone like Sabrina to find it."

"We now have all the answers we need. This brings us to the end of the finale ceremony. Congratulations once again to Sabrina the winner, Dotty the Mole and all of you for being a part of this season."
