Previously on the Smole...
Yvon: "I still don't quite trust Laron. I want to keep it between us for now."
Landon: "A secret coalition? Just the way I like it. Don't worry. The secret's safe with me. No one will ever know."
~~~
Harper: "I won't judge. I promise. I will never shun you no matter what you've become."
Hyden: "I...I killed someone."
~~~
Eris: "You think I'm doing it for myself? I'm doing it for my Kyleleigh and Jaxten! You know they don't have a father. None of them do."
~~~
Eris: "Maybe you could be a godfather?"
Ambrose: "Wha...will they accept me? Won't I be a homewrecker?"
Eris: "They already have different dads. You aren't the homewrecker. Trust me. You're the rebuilder."
Ambrose: "That would be like a dream come true."
Eris: "To show my sincerity, I have a secret for you."
Ambrose: "A correction? When did you get this?"
Eris: "When I was on the hunt for you. Now I'm giving it to you. But I want you to promise me that you won't use your bugs or viruses on me."
Eris: "When I was on the hunt for you. Now I'm giving it to you. But I want you to promise me that you won't use your bugs or viruses on me."
~~~
Laron: "So who are you really? You're not an irresistible artistic workaholic."
Landon: "I told you bro. I don't know. It doesn't matter anyway. If you want me to be an irresistible artistic workaholic, I can be an irresistible artistic workaholic."
Laron: "What if I just want you to be you?"

The British love their trivia game shows. Today, the final 7 will take part in one such game show called The Exit List. They will enter the maze and answer trivia questions. Each room they enter will have a passcode to remember, forming part of their exit list. They can earn 70 points, or bonus points or other things.
However, in the maze are 5 "karma rooms". If they end up in such a room, they have to memorise a series of trivia correctly, as everything else they get wrong will form their exit list. In addition, the contestant(s) with the lowest karma must recite the information correctly in these rooms. The difficulty level of the trivia in each room, karma room or not, depend on the group's karma.
As they advance forward, the contestants must leave one contestant behind. They must also leave a contestant behind if they end up in a karma room and fail to escape, or if they get blocked with no path forward. They are allowed to exit the maze at any point by retracing their steps and reciting the exit list in any order, escaping with their winnings.
"You have 30 seconds per room. Worth 0 points, which telescope did NASA launch into space in 1990?
Hubble
Webb
Punch
SphereX"
Landon: "We have to get this right or this mission ends before it even began."
Danny: "I've only heard of Hubble and Webb."
Ambrose: "Me too. I think Hubble came first. Webb was more recently launched."
Harper: "But what matters is what was launched in 1990."
Ambrose: "I think Webb was launched in the 2010s."
Harper: "Okay, let's go with that then. We lock in Hubble."
"That is correct. The door in front of you will now open. The next room is about children's shows. Your exit list is now: Hubble. Do you wan to move forward or exit the maze?"
Landon: "Yes!"
Ambrose: "We're moving forward of course. We earned nothing."
Ambrose: "We'll let the parents take this one. This is their expertise."
"The rooms on this row are worth 1 point. the children's show Bluey features the titular dog and the life around him. What kind of dog is Bluey?
Golden Retriever
Dalmatian
Blue Heeler
Labrador"
Danny: "Eris, you have a young tot."
Eris: "I don't watch children's shows with my kids. They're so boring. I have no idea."
Yvon: "I imagine Bluey is blue."
Laron: "I agree that it's a Blue Heeler. The rest don't make sense."
Yvon: "We lock in Blue Heeler."
"That is correct. You have earned 1 point. The exit list is now: Hubble, Blue Heeler. The rooms around you have now opened. To your left is sports, to your right is mythology, to your front is sitcoms. If you choose to continue forward, you must leave one of you behind. Do you continue or do you exit?"
Yvon: "We continue. I think we should head left or right. They sound a lot easier."
Ambrose: "I agree. We can earn more points."
Eris: "We also risk a karma room."
Ambrose: "It's a risk we have to take."
Harper: "I'm better with mythology."
Laron: "The risk is that if you don't know, we're toast. I think sports is a safer bet. Landon, Ambrose and I watch sports."
Harper: "Oh alright then."
Laron: "We continue to our left."
"Which US president was formerly a boxing coach at Yale University?
George Washington
Alexander Hamilton
Richard Nixon
Gerald Ford"
Ambrose: "I'm leaning towards Washington, Hamilton and Ford. They seem like fighters."
Landon: "This is about politics, not sports. But I've seen Hamilton and they never once mentioned his ability to box so I don't think it's him."
Danny: "Yale probably wasn't even founded then. So we can exclude Washington too."
Laron: "It's down to Nixon and Ford. Nixon was the guy involved in Watergate right?"
Danny: "Yes."
Laron: "Hmm, I would go with Gerald Ford then."
Landon: "Bro isn't he really old?"
Laron: "They all are but it has to be one of them."
Ambrose: "I support Laron."
Danny: "I do too. We lock in Gerald Ford."
"That is correct. You have earned another point. The exit list is now: Hubble, Blue Heeler, Gerald Ford. Your only way open is now forward, which is about animals. You can exit the maze, or you can continue forward, but must leave one of you behind."
Landon: "You were right!"
Danny: "We are definitely moving forward. I think we leave the dead weight behind."
Yvon: "Who will that be? It better not be us girls just because we didn't answer sports."
Laron: "I think we should leave behind Ambrose. He has the lowest karma."
Ambrose: "I could be useful you know."
Yvon: "But the questions are significantly hard for the reward because of our group karma. If we leave you behind, we improve our group karma."
Danny: "I think the difficulty of the questions won't be that much harder. It's better to keep those who can actually do trivia, and if Ambrose can answer them, it's better to have him around."
Harper: "That's a big if."
Eris: "I think Laron has served his purpose. There won't be more sports questions."
Yvon: "We just vote then. How many of us vote to leave Ambrose behind? I'm one."
Landon: "I vote too."
Danny: "If that's what everyone is going for then I guess you can count me in."
Ambrose: "I'll take one for the team then. I'm willing to stay behind."
"The rooms on this row are worth 4 points. Which of the following words means 'goat-like'?
Bovine
Lupine
Caprine
Ursine"
Yvon: "Bovine is a cow, lupine is monkey, ursine is bear, caprine is goat."
Eris: "I'm not big with animals but I know Capricorn. So I think she's right."
Yvon: "We lock in caprine."
"That is correct. You have earned 4 points. The exit list is now: Hubble, Blue Heeler, Gerald Ford, Caprine. You may move forward which is about flowers, or to your right which is about sitcoms. If you move forward, you must leave another behind. You may also exit the maze."
Eris: "I think we should move like a snake to maximise points. It's our chance to make money."
Danny: "I disagree. It's too risky."
Yvon: "I think we can go for the risk."
Laron: "I think we should move to the right because we don't have to lose another, and I don't think any of us know more about flowers."
Harper: "I think sitcoms are easier too."
Eris: "You're outnumbered boy. We're going to the right."
"Which sitcom was not written by Richard Curtis?
Mr Bean
The Vicar of Dibley
The Young Ones
Blackadder"
Danny: "Mr. Bean is by Rowan Atkinson. That's our answer."
Harper: "Wait! We should discuss before locking in an answer."
Eris: "So is Blackadder."
Danny: "I know Mr. Bean is by Rowan Atkinson so there's nothing to discuss. I know when I'm right."
Eris: "The Vicar of Dibley also sounds like a Rowan Atkinson-esque sitcom. Maybe Richard Curtis co-wrote all of them."
Danny: "That is possible."
Harper: "Landon, you're the actor. Do you know?"
Landon: "Oh. Of course. Hmm...I am leaning towards The Young Ones."
Eris: "We should listen to him. He's the expert."
Danny: "Just because he acts?"
Danny: "Whatever. Do what you want."
Landon: "I am going off on a hunch."
Yvon: "Then that's not very convincing."
Laron: "I think Mr. Bean is more plausible. Shall we lock in Mr. Bean then?"
Eris: "You do the honours Professor Malan."
Danny: "We lock in Mr Bean."
"That is incorrect. It was The Young Ones. This means all answers will go onto your exit list, which is now: Hubble, Blue Heeler, Gerald Ford, Caprine, Mr. Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, The Young Ones, Blackadder. The path forward remains blocked, but you may enter the room to your right which is about countries. Or you may exit."
Danny: "Gah! I was so certain."
Landon: "I knew it!"
Laron: "Let's keep on moving?"
Eris: "Yes."
"You have encountered your first karma room. You will be given a list of countries that start and end with 'A', and the number of respondents who answered that as registered in a game of Pointless. You then have 30 seconds to answer. You may pass but every item passed or not answered will go onto your exit list."
"Eris, as the contestant with the lowest karma out of the 6, you have to answer."
"Antigua and Barbuda: 0"
"Armenia: 19"
"Andorra: 22"
"Austria: 56"
"Angola: 13"
"Australia: 71"
"Albania: 25"
"Algeria: 21"
"Argentina: 30"
Eris: "I forgot already."
"Eris, you have to answer how many people gave this answer for each flag shown. Your 30 seconds begins now."
Eris: "This is Austria...56."
Eris: "30."
Eris: "Ehh...10? 46? Pass."
Eris: "22. No, 21. 25?"
Eris: "20. 21. 22."
Eris: "20. 21. 22. 23. 24. 25. Pass."
Eris: "Oh this was the first one. It was 0."
Eris: "71."
Eris: "25. 26. 27. 20. 21. 22."
"You got 7 right and passed on two of them. You passed on Armenia, which had 19, and Angola, which was 13. This means your exit list is now: Hubble, Blue Heeler, Gerald Ford, Caprine, Mr. Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, The Young Ones, Blackadder, 1913. You are blocked, but fortunately, you may move forward to the next room on money by leaving someone behind as you failed a karma room."
Eris: "I did well."
Danny: "There are now 10. It's going to be hard to remember."
Harper: "I already forgot some. Let's move forward? We get another chance to see the exit list."
Yvon: "Do we want to leave Eris behind? She's responsible for adding two items on the list and the bad karma."
Eris: "I did really well. I proved my memory is good."
Landon: "She has a point. We need someone with good memory."
Laron: "I'm not a trivia nerd. I'm willing to stay back."
Landon: "Thanks for taking one for the team bro."
"This row of rooms are worth 10 points. This room also is worth a bug. Who appears on the US $100 note?
Benjamin Franklin
George Washington
Abraham Lincoln
Thomas Jefferson"
Danny: "Benjamin Franklin. That's obvious."
Eris: "No disagreements there. I'm very familiar with money. We lock in Benjamin Franklin."
"That is correct. Your exit list is now: Hubble, Blue Heeler, Gerald Ford, Caprine, Mr. Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, The Young Ones, Blackadder, 1913, Benjamin Franklin. You may exit the maze, or you may go to the left about food, the right about politics or forward about Olympics. But you must leave someone behind again."
Danny: "I say we don't risk it. We continue forward to the big money."
Harper: "We still have two more rows to go forward. I agree."
Yvon: "I think we can earn more money."
Eris: "There are so many of us to remember."
Harper: "Landon, it's your decision."
Landon: "I think we move forward. Each row is worth more exponentially."
Eris: "Then one of you three stay behind since you voted for it."
Harper: "I'll do it."
"This row is worth 15 points. This room is also worth a correction. Which field event is part of the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon?
Pole Vault
Discus Throw
Triple Jump
Shot Put"
Yvon: "I don't think it's the triple jump."
Danny: "I would think it's the discus throw."
Landon: "That's quite heavy."
Eris: "You doubting women's strength? Remember these are professional athletes."
Landon: "Of course not. I just think the answer is pole vaulting."
Danny: "I think the discus is lighter than the shot put but I'm not a sports guy."
Eris: "We listened to you once and were wrong."
Landon: "Let's give it to Yvon. She really tore through the last mission, no cap."
Yvon: "Hm...we lock in pole vault."
"That is correct. The exit list is now: Hubble, Blue Heeler, Gerald Ford, Caprine, Mr. Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, The Young Ones, Blackadder, 1913, Benjamin Franklin, Pole Vault. You may exit the maze. You may also leave one more contestant behind and enter the room about peace, or enter the room on the left about taxidermy, or the room on the right about war."
Yvon: "I say we continue."
Eris: "No objections here."
Landon: "Not from me either."
Danny: "It's 12 items to remember. I only remember 7."
Yvon: "Majority overrules."
Eris: "I think we can move to the room on the right, and then go forward and all the way to the left to maximise our winnings. War doesn't sound that hard."
Yvon: "I am thinking that if each room is double of the previous, we can find 20 points and the risk to reward ratio is much better there."
Landon: "We are definitely not doing taxidermy."
Danny: "Peace or war? Both sound hard. I think it's less risky to move forward."
Eris: "I suppose it's just the flipside. We can go forward, but that means you stay behind because you don't want to continue and can only remember half the list. I remember all of them."
Landon: "I do as well."
Yvon: "I only remember about 9 of them."
Danny: "Whatever. I'll stay behind and let you idiots clean up the mess."
"This row of rooms is worth 20 points, including this room, but one of these rooms is worth 40 points and that is the one you want to get if you want a full pot. The three of you also get a hidden exemption. The question is: Which of the following has not won a Nobel Peace prize?
Martin Luther King
Mother Teresa
Mahatma Gandhi
Dalai Lama"
Eris: "It feels like all of them have won it."
Landon: "Mother Teresa definitely has. Martin Luther King too. I think the Dalai Lama didn't win it."
Eris: "Or is it Junior who won it?"
Yvon: "I have no clue on this one."
Landon: "Hmm, that is possible. Now I'm doubting whether Gandhi won it too."
Eris: "Yvon and I have locked in several answers. It's your turn to decide which one it is."
Landon: "I'll listen to you. We lock in Martin Luther King, because it's his son who won the prize."
"The correct answer is Mahatma Gandhi. The exit list is now: Hubble, Blue Heeler, Gerald Ford, Caprine, Mr. Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, The Young Ones, Blackadder, 1913, Benjamin Franklin, Pole Vault, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, Dalai Lama."
Yvon: "Yikes! 16 items. Can we still handle it?"
"You're already at the back of the maze so there isn't any path forward, but you can go to the left about actors, or to the right about patterns. Alternatively, you may exit the maze by reciting the exit list."
Eris: "The pot is pathetic. Only 25 points or so. We don't have much to lose."
Landon: "That's right bitches. Go big or go home!"
Yvon: "Then we move left. Going to the right is suicide."
"This room is worth 40 points and a virus. Which of the following acted in the 2000 movie Gen-Y cops?
Paul Rudd
Robert De Niro
Michelle Yeoh
Jackie Chan"
Landon: "We found the 40 points! And a virus!"
Eris: "I have an idea. We each give an answer. Whoever had the right answer will get the virus."
Yvon: "And what if we are all wrong? We give it to someone else?"
Landon: "Hell no. Am I right Eris?"
Eris: "Absolutely right there."
Landon: "3...2...1...Paul Rudd."
Eris: "Paul Rudd."
Yvon: "Jackie Chan. Oh, was I the only one who had a different answer?"
Landon: "I said it first."
Eris: "No way. We still have a bug and a correction. You can have them if I have the virus. I already have bad karma."
Landon: "It's time to improve it."
Yvon: "Guys, we haven't even locked in our answer."
Landon: "We lock in Paul Rudd."
"That is correct. Your exit list is now: Hubble, Blue Heeler, Gerald Ford, Caprine, Mr. Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, The Young Ones, Blackadder, 1913, Benjamin Franklin, Pole Vault, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, Dalai Lama, Paul Rudd. You may continue to the left about birds or exit the maze."
Yvon: "We can continue. I know birds."
"This room is worth 20 points and a correction. In cookery, squab is the meat that comes from the young of which bird?
Duck
Partridge
Turkey
Pigeon"
Eris: "Well? I have no clue."
Yvon: "I'm thinking partridge or pigeon."
Landon: "You're not sure which one?"
Yvon: "No. I'll guess pigeon. Something about it speaks to me. We lock in pigeon."
"That is correct. Your exit list is: Hubble, Blue Heeler, Gerald Ford, Caprine, Mr. Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, The Young Ones, Blackadder, 1913, Benjamin Franklin, Pole Vault, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, Dalai Lama, Paul Rudd, Pigeon. You may continue to the left about comedians or exit."
Yvon: "Phew."
Eris: "The correction is all yours."
Landon: "Let's continue. We're on a roll especially with Yvon by our side!"
Eris: "Now you're talking."
Eris: "Fuck!"
"It's another karma room. You will be shown a list of Taskmaster contestants and their final scores in their first seasons. You must remember them, as you will then have 30 seconds to regurgitate. Eris, as the one with the lowest karma, you must be the sole one to participate."
"Ed Gamble: Series 9: 167"
"Nish Kumar: Series 5: 107"
"Sarah Millican: Series 14: 174"
"Romesh Raganathan: Season 1: 93"
"Emma Sidi: Series 18: 152"
"John Robins: Series 17: 192"
"Jessica Knappett: Series 7: 175"
"Joe Thomas: Series 8: 150"
"Ivo Graham: Series 15: 131"
"Mike Wozniak: Series 11: 154"
"Eris, you will have 30 seconds. You will be shown a series of Taskmaster contestants and must recite the first season they appeared in. You may pass but any item passed or unanswered at the end will add to your exit list."
Eris: "Bring it on."
Eris: "Series...8. No, Series 13. No? Series 15? Still no? Pass."
Eris: "Series 11."
Eris: "She was from...Series 14."
Eris: "Series 15. Series 18."
Eris: "Oh he's easy. Series 1."
Eris: "Series 17. Series 16. Series 15."
Eris: "Series 9."
Eris: "Series 4. Series 11. Series 8?"
Eris: "Series 6. Series 7."
Eris: "Series 5. Series 2. Series..."
Eris: "Fuck."
"Time is up. You had 8/10 correct. You missed John Robins, who will add 'J' to your exit list, and Nish Kumar, who will add 'K' to your exit list. Your exit list is therefore: Hubble, Blue Heeler, Gerald Ford, Caprine, Mr. Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, The Young Ones, Blackadder, 1913, Benjamin Franklin, Pole Vault, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, Dalai Lama, Paul Rudd, Pigeon, JK."
"You may continue to the last open room to your left about Egypt, or exit. If you continue, you must leave another contestant behind since Eris failed the karma room."
Eris: "Let's continue. We have nothing else to lose."
Yvon: "That's 20 items already. Our pot is quite full. I think we did quite well so we should quit now."
Eris: "What difference does one more room make?"
Landon: "Do you know about Egypt?"
Eris: "...Boo. Fine, we'll stop here. We'll exit."
"You have chosen to exit. One by one, you must retrace your path back to the start of the maze. In each room you must name an item on your exit list in any order. You have 10 seconds per room and entered 12 rooms, so that's 120 seconds in total. As long as one of you makes it to the front in time, you can get to bring the 91 points with you. In addition, the three of you will be fighting for something very valuable for the first one to reach the start, or the one to make it furthest."
"Yvon, as the one with the highest karma, you may decide on the order."
Yvon: "Eris will go first, then me, then Landon."
*
*
*
Yvon: "I decided to let Eris go first because she has proven she has a strong memory but not perfect memory. This gives me and Landon more time to remember the exit list. Then I can't let the actor who has to memorise many lines in a script go before me either because he's going to win."
*
*
*
"Eris, you have 120 seconds. You may begin."
Eris: "Gerald Ford."
Eris: "Blue Heeler."
*
*
*
Yvon: "JK."
*
*
*
Landon: "Dalai Lama, Mahatma Gandhi...who were the other two?"
*
*
*
"Wrong room."
Eris: "Fuck."
Eris: "This must be the way. JK."
*
*
*
Landon: "Pole Vault."
*
*
*
Yvon: "Shit, I don't remember what else is there."
*
*
*
"Wrong room."
Eris: "How is that possible? I'm sure we came here."
*
*
*
Yvon: "It's the only path. The entrance is right there! Did we make a detour?"
*
*
*
Landon: "The Vicar of Dibley. No, The Vicar of Dubley. Fuck! I forgot!"
*
*
*
"Congratulations on completing The Exit List. Please head up."
Harper: "Welcome back!"
"Eris, Yvon, Landon, while the three of you were leaving the maze, the other four had an offer. They could choose to take an offer of 20 points. If they took it, regardless of whether any of you made it out, that will be the earnings of the mission. No 91 points, no corrections, viruses or bugs."
"I can announce that at least one of you made it out in time. The question is now whether the others trusted you or took the offer."
Danny: "We didn't. We knew you could do it!"
Harper: "Not all of us did, just saying."
Ambrose: "But we agreed as a group that at least one of you could do it. I'm so proud of you guys."
"That means that 91/70 points have been added to the pot, making it 252/460 points. Eris, Yvon and Landon also get exemptions, while there are 2 corrections, 1 bug and 1 virus to distribute among you. You have until tomorrow afternoon to make the distribution."
