63.08-Greta the Beta

In the previous mission, Jovan, Ash, Lee and Thelma helped the rest with trivia, fireworks and Yakuza. While everyone was eliminated in the end, 65/100 points were added to the pot, giving it a much-needed boost to 138/400 points. This joy will be short-lived for one of them, however, as someone must be executed again. Who will it be? Who is the Mole?

Cassius: "If only the bullets were real. They would have helped me get rid of so many evildoers. And me as well. Maybe it's a good thing they're not real. There are more Sims to eliminate before I go."

Andre: "Sleeping on the floor all the time hurts my back. I can't wait for one of the bed hoarders to be executed, then I can take their bed."

Ashley: "My name is Ashley, my hair is shiny, my teeth are perfect, my skirt is tiny, it barely covers my perky hiney~"

Kaeleigh: "Whoever is in there, could you please hurry up? You've been in there for too long. Others need to shower as well."

Ashley: "That's all."

Kaeleigh: "It's you."

Ashley: "Must have forgotten to lock the door. Oopsie."

Kaeleigh: "What were you singing about?"

Ashley: "Oh, do you like it? My high school friends and I made it up back in high school. Regine was top dog, and Greta, or we liked to call her, Greta the Beta or Gretch the Betch..."

Kaeleigh: "I'm not interested."

Kaeleigh: "You and your brother are worlds apart. Your brother is smart and humble and a rocket scientist, and you're...you."

Ashley: "What does that mean?"

Kaeleigh: "It means you're bratty and spoiled and self-centred. I bet you live like a princess at home and have never worked a day in your life."

Ashley: "Why would I need to work? I don't need money."

Kaeleigh: "For a hobby? To occupy your time?"

Ashley: "Ew, who works as a hobby?"

Kaeleigh: "I do."

Ashley: "Is it because you don't like the song? Or because I took too long in the shower?"

Kaeleigh: "What? No? Well, I mean. You should try and make your life more fulfilling and enriching or you'll stay as a vacuous airhead forever."

Ashley: "What is her problem? It must be the sashimi she ate for dinner a few days ago."

Octavia: "You were the hero."

Gideon: "Yeah I regret it now. My joints are aching."

Jovan: "I want to be like you when I grow up."

Octavia: "How could you even keep up for so long?"

Gideon: "I guess all the physical training paid off."

Jovan: "You and me, we're the same. We love exercise. If we keep exercising until we're old we won't be old."

Octavia: "That's not how aging works."

Gideon: "You and I, we're different. You do it for passion and interest. I do it out of necessity of my job."

Jovan: "You mean you don't like exercise? But it makes you hot. Andre is proof."

Gideon: "I'm only 'hot' because I did plastic surgery."

Octavia: "You did?"

Gideon: "I guess the cat's out of the bag now. I used to be fat and ugly and a slob. I decided to go into acting just to try it out, not expecting anything, and  a talent scout said I had potential. He wanted to make me the biggest star."

Octavia: "You're a star now. Many know your name."

Gideon: "Not as many as my manager hopes."

Jovan: "You don't like yourself now? You're famous and fit and hot for a 45-year-old."

Gideon: "No. I don't. I'm unrecognisble now. Sometimes I look in the mirror and think to myself: maybe I shouldn't have listened. Would I be happier now if I didn't listen to them?"

Octavia: "I can't believe you. No wonder they say to never meet your heroes."

Jovan: "Don't say that Octavia."

Octavia: "There are dozens of Sims out there who can only dream about being in your shoes right now and here you're complaining that you want to be fat and ugly? So many of us can only dream of the life. You got your chance and you refuse to cherish it."

Octavia: "You know I wanted to be an actress. If this is your way of dissuading me you suck."

Gideon: "If you really want to be an actress, I know someone."

Octavia: "You think I don't want to? I..."

Octavia: "I tried. I got a few small roles in commercials. I even appeared in an indie film. But then I had a child. We were struggling financially. My husband's salary wasn't enough. But he still supported me. He worked two jobs to be able to afford diapers and baby formula. And here I was hoping to land a big role and live the dream. But I failed. I couldn't sustain that lifestyle. So I gave it up and worked a corporate job instead."

Octavia: "People always say to chase your dreams, and unknowingly, they make you feel guilty for not doing so. I feel guilty for giving into reality and practicalness."

Gideon: "You shouldn't have to feel guilty about it. You tried."

Octavia: "Did I? I think I didn't try hard enough. Maybe if I had persisted."

Gideon: "Who's to say you wouldn't be worse off?"

Jovan: "Exactly. There's no point crying over spilled milk. You made your decision given your circumstances and you should stick by it. You did nothing wrong."

Octavia: "So, when you get to live the life I wanted, I was envious. Happy, even, that someone got to live the dream. And then you tell me..."

Gideon: "I'm sorry. Maybe I was thinking too much about myself. You're right. I am in a privileged spot. But everyone's dreams are different. We're both not chasing our dreams."

Jovan: "Hey, I know what can cheer both of you up. How about a morning jog?"

Octavia and Gideon: "No!"

Thelma: "I think you could be a useful ally."

Cassius: "I just want to protect the environment. I don't want to actively be evil."

Thelma: "You already have one foot in the door."

Cassius: "Why me? I don't think I'm the perfect choice."

Thelma: "Maybe not, but the cost of searching is high. I never aim to find the perfect match; just a suitable one."

Thelma: "I am proposing a temporary alliance. A coalition. Take it as a pre-probation assessment."

Cassius: "I'm not interesting in joining your company."

Thelma: "But you are interested in staying till the end of the season, yes?"

Cassius: "What's in it for me?"

Thelma: "You want to save the world but you alone won't be enough. You need resources. Funding. Support. I can help you gain all of that. But you need to prove yourself first. It's a mutually beneficial relationship."

Cassius: "Like a symbiotic relationship."

Cassius: "Okay. I'm in. A coalition won't hurt."

Thelma: "Excellent. The first order of business: how should we vote in the quiz? Do we want to continue removing the second-lowest scorer?"

Cassius: "It's only the fairest."

Thelma: "You don't get far playing fair."

Cassius: "My hands are tied. I already voted to execute the second lowest thrice in a row."

Thelma: "I did too. So that's two automatic votes for the highest. We just need to convince three more Sims to do the same. Or two."

Thelma: "You share a room with Andre and Jovan. Try and speak to one of them. I'll speak to Ash. Lee will listen to him."

Ashley: "Whoa! Do you hate clothes?"

Andre: "We're out in nature. Come on. Don't be a prude."

Ashley: "I'm not a prude. I just don't feel like violating my eyes today. Now get out. I want to talk to you."

Ashley: "What are you doing?"

Andre: "You told me to get out. You might wanna turn around."

Ashley: "Are you dressed yet?"

Andre: "Yeah. Now what's up?"

Ashley: "How do I put it...do you like my sister?"

Andre: "Huh?"

Ashley: "Are you serious about her? She's been in too many casual relationships with jerks for boyfriends. I don't want a repeat of history."

Andre: "I told you. I'm not into her. I really was trying to help her with exercise. Why don't you believe me?"

Ashley: "I saw those eyes."

Andre: "I just gaze intently and seriously when I'm in work mode. Ask any of my clients."

Ashley: "Then you better make it clear to Lee. She falls for anyone hot with a pulse."

Andre: "Is that why you dress like the 19th century?"

Ashley: "She chose this outfit."

Andre: "Aw, how cute. I envy your relationship."

Ashley: "So you do want a serious relationship."

Andre: "That's not what I said! But yeah, I do. At least a relationship that doesn't end in disaster."

Ashley: "That sucks."

Andre: "Yeah bro."

Ashley: "Maybe I judged you too quickly."

Andre: "I told you I'm not lusting after Lee."

Ashley: "Tell her that yourself."

Andre: "Why can't you do it?"

Ashley: "She doesn't believe me."

Ashley: "Anyway, did Thelma approach you about who to execute?"

Andre: "No but Cassius did. I guess they're working together now."

Ashley: "Thelma wants to vote to execute the highest scorer and I agree with her. Now is a good time."

Andre: "Cassius told me to do the same and to get Jovan to do the same."

Ashley: "That makes 6 of us."

Andre: "You're going to vote high? You and Lee?"

Ashley: "Yeah. Aren't you?"

Andre: "Ehh, yeah. Yeah we are. It's better than leaving it up to speed. I just need to find time to convince Jovan first."

Andre: "Is now a good time for some chaos? I think so. Cassius and Thelma want to get rid of the strongest players. I think they're a strong duo so I don't want their plan to work out."

Octavia: "The four in the temple had so much power. If they played it well, they could have set off fireworks far away from all of us to distract the Yakuza. But they played it uselessly. Every runner that made it to the temple also didn't inform the templers of where they had been and which questions had been answered."

Gideon: "The four in the temple took forever to launch their first firework. I had answered several questions by the time they launched a firework. If one of them is the Mole they did a good job in making themselves useless and throwing us to fend for ourselves."

Kaeleigh: "One of the questions was about cryptocurrency. The options were Doge, Ethereum and FireCoin. Jovan was raving about FireCoin when he first joined the season. It's his coin. Is this a clue?"

Jovan: "Thelma said the umbrella was blue. I asked her three times and she insisted three times. But the umbrella wasn't blue. We lost one chance to help the others."

Thelma: "The highest scorer is going to be executed. It's all but guaranteed. This means that I should adapt my strategy accordingly. There's no use in trying to score well in hopes of winning the pot if you don't even get to that stage."

Ashley: "Mole or not, it is a fact that Andre was eliminated very early. He's the strongest and fittest of the five. Getting himself out would be the best move to damage the pot without being accused of sabotage."

Andre: "Gideon looked like a hero in the mission but he only had 5 or 6 questions as he said himself. That's not a lot. I could've done better if I had the chance. He gets to be celebrated for doing poorly."

"Contestants, you made a comeback in the previous mission in the face of danger but there was money left on the table. For those at the temple, you could also have had a chance for a hidden exemption by writing 'EXEMPTION' when sketching your drawings. None of you did that, so any of you can be executed. Both Ashleys along with Thelma and Cassius voted to execute the highest while the rest voted to execute the second lowest scorer, which means the unsure contestant is leaving tonight again, and it is the slowest of the unsure ones. Which one?"

"Jovan Allen."

Jovan: "Woo!"

Ashley: "Congrats!"

"Ashley Olson."

Ashley: "You mean me?"

"Yes you."

Ashley: "It's too green. I want more pink and black."

"Gideon Perrier."

"Unfortunately you have been executed. Please pack your bags and leave."

Octavia: "Gasp!"

Andre: "What? Didn't see that coming."

Jovan: "Me neither."

Cassius: "Gideon was a really humble actor. He didn't go around boasting that he's famous. He played it just like the rest of us."

Octavia: "I was fangirling internally when I found out Gideon was on the season with us. I took up the courage to get to know him better and find out who he was off-screen."

Octavia: "If you don't mind me asking, what would you want to do?"

Gideon: "If I could turn back time, I would want to do something involving horses. Maybe a horse vet. Or even a stable hand. I think that life seems nice and peaceful."

Thelma: "He's the biggest contributor to the pot so far, all from that previous mission. Even though he often complains he's old, he really gave it his all and outlasted everyone."

Gideon: "Toyota. The answer is Toyota. Yep I'm right."

Gideon: "No regrets. The twist was too much for me to keep up with so I played it like a normal season. That may have done me in. I'm pretty sure I was part of every single tie to date so it's only justified that it's my turn to go home. I wish everyone all the best."
