59.22-You saved the day

12 contestants started their hunt for the Mole in Shang Simla, but Peter, Ted, and Raymundo failed to go beyond the shores. The rest flew to Al Simhara to continue the search, where Seamus, Samantha, Adriel, and Ramona were stopped in their tracks. The final journey started in Champs Les Sims, and Rudy and Sienna narrowly missed out on the finale. And there were three mystery PK contestants: Zhang, Sanaa, and Jean-Luc, none of whom survived till the end. Instead, three women emerge: Sheila Rammstein, Mary Shelby, and Jordana Hammond. Three women who have been working together since the start. Who has been deceiving the whole time? Who is the Mole? Find out now.

Peter: "Everything feels so foreign."
Ted: "We were the first two to be eliminated so it's not surprising."
Peter: "We're just two old souls in a lonely world."

Peter: "I'm surprised you came."
Ted: "I signed up for...something...to step out of my comfort zone. I might as well go all the way."

Peter: "Raymundo! Hello!"

Raymundo: "How has life been?"
Peter: "Same old, same old."
Raymundo: "Mine too."

Seamus: "Damn, there's so much I missed out on. It would have been nice to visit the Eiffel tower."

Samantha: "Adriel! It's so good to see you!"
Adriel: "Back at you."

Adriel: "I love how there's a China corner and a France corner."
Samantha: "The Egypt corner is over there."

Ramona: "Adriel Garner!"
Adriel: "Uh-oh."

Ramona: "Pay me back my money you love cad!"
Adriel: "Love cad?"
Ramona: "You said your grandmother was terminally ill! I tried to contact you but the number you gave me was fake!"

Adriel: "She was ill. She passed away. I thank you for all your support. It really meant a lot to us."
Ramona: "Rooney said you're gay! You clearly weren't sleeping with me for love!"
Adriel: "I did it for you."

Seamus: "You might wanna calm down and stick to your table, ma'am."

Ramona: "We'll settle this later."
Adriel: "Nothing to see here guys. You know she has a temper."
Samantha: "Let's focus on how lovely the décor is today!"

Samantha: "Those Chinese scrolls remind me of how Ramona and I had to translate song prompts."
Seamus: "I remember that cutesy little dragon from the same mission too."

Sienna: "Every corner of this room is a memory."
Rudy: "These vases are probably for the second mission."
Sienna: "Having a sword hanging around probably isn't good fengshui, ha ha."

Sienna: "We had to choose breakfast options in France, and they could contain exemptions or corrections. I remember how crazy you were about exemptions."
Rudy: "You would be too if you saw all the men dropping like flies. Hey, you started obsessing over exemptions too!"

Rudy: "Remember the snakes and ladders mission? You refused to work a deal with me because you wanted the exemption."
Sienna: "Good times."

Rudy: "How have you been?"
Sienna: "I've been better. My clinic is facing a crisis currently but my family is understanding of why I did what I did. A medical journal reached out to me to discuss about abuse and misuse of medication in medical practice so there's some good that came out of it."

Rudy: "I'm sure you'll get through it."
Sienna: "Thank you."

"Ladies and gentlemen, it has been months since we last met. It is wonderful to reunite once more. But we are not complete."

"Let us put our hands together for our finalists of the Smole, Season 59!"

Mary: "All the souvenirs are a nice touch."
"The original 12 are finally complete. You were stragners when you met in China a couple of months ago, fighting to be in the final three. However, only three of you made it: these three ladies in front of you. They outsmarted and outlasted all of you and overcame the twists this season to emerge as finalists."

"Speaking of the twist, let us welcome our three PKers: Zhang Hua from China, Sanaa Madbouli from Egypt, and Jean-Luc Pivert from France!"

Sanaa: "These are from the livestream mission in Egypt. Oh I miss home already."

"These three Sims were watching you from Day 1, figuring out the Mole as well. Two of them even made it in."
Jean-Luc: "There is no need to rub it in."
"They fought valiantly and while they didn't make it to the end, we should applaud them for their efforts."

"We have a lot in store for you tonight. Some of you have prepared a little talent show. Let us first give it up for Ramona Romano!"

Ramona: "I spent my time trying to learn a new and most importantly solo dance. My life relies too much on others, so it's time I dance for myself. Hit it!"

Sanaa: "She is dancing in heels!"

Rudy: "Woo!"
Samantha: "You go girl!"

Jordana: "WOO! Hehe!"
Ramona: "Thank you."

"Our table at the back has a cultural song showcase for you. Please feast your ears and listen."

Sanaa: "Hadha ratana~"

Zhang: "Hadha ratana~"
Jean-Luc: "Hadha ratana~"
Sanaa: "Hadha ratana~"

Sanaa: "Limadha tutarjam hadha~"
Zhang: "Qing ting zhi fan yi~"
Jean-Luc: "Qing ting zhi fan yi~"

Sanaa: "Ana alaeinuk likawnik ghayr mutie~"
Zhang: "Zhe li mei you ti shi~"
Jean-Luc: "Tu es gros et moche~"

Zhang: "Tu es gros et moche~"
Jean-Luc: "Tu es gros et moche~"

Jordana: "Hehe that was so cool!"
Samantha: "I am in awe."
Peter: "Clap clap clap."

"Our next performance is a cross-table showcase. Let us give it up for the magic duo: Sheila Rammstein and Seamus Motheresa!"
Seamus: "How are we all doing tonight? Good? Well it's gonna be even better after this."
Sheila: "Tonight's first trick is a difficult one. We call it the Swords of Destiny."

Sheila: "Seamus, please step into this box."

Sheila: "I am going to stick three swords through the box."

Sienna: "Oh my goodness! Is that safe?"
Ramona: "I can't watch!"

Sheila: "Now I shall pull the swords out one by one."

Sheila: "Ta-da!"

Ted: "Phew!"
Jean-Luc: "Boo! He did not die!"

Seamus: "Da da da da da..."

Seamus: "...da da! For my next trick, I'm gonna play the piano! I know y'all have been itching to hear the master at work again."
Sheila: "Please no."
Seamus: "Spoilsport. Then that's all folks!"

Sheila: "Oh, he replied!"

Mary: "Are you alright?"
Sheila: "It was the result of the audition with the guy you told me about. He didn't like it."
Mary: "I'm sorry he wasn't interested. But that was quite a performance. I enjoyed it. If you want, I can offer to host you and Seamus for our corporate events."

Sheila: "...That would be great."

Jordana: "That was fantastic hehe. I take it that you and Seamus patched things up?"
Sheila: "Yup. Turns out Mary was right all along. He wasn't that upset about it. We had a good talk about where we wanted to be headed and I think we worked something out. I learned to be at peace and take things one step at a time. Birthday parties and work events aren't beneath us. Every great magician starts from somewhere."

"Our last performance comes from our last table."
Raymundo: "My sparring partner texted me. He couldn't make it. Sorry, I don't think I can do a one-man stunt show."
"Oh. We have a timeslot to fill though. Any of you want to showcase any hidden talents?"
Peter: "I have no talents but Ted has plenty."
Ted: "M-me?"

Ted: "Yeah you. You told me you wrote poetry inspired by this season. Go on, share it."
Sanaa: "Poetry! I would love to hear it."

Seamus: "PO-E-TRY! PO-E-TRY! PO-E-TRY!"
Rudy: "PO-E-TRY!"
Ramona: "PO-E-TRY!"
Sienna: "If everyone else is chanting..."

Ted: "What if nobody likes it? I'm not prepared! What if I blow it?"
Raymundo: "The next world champion never knows until he tries."
Peter: "This is your chance Ted."

Ted: "You're right. This is my chance to reach back into society. To hell with my shield."

Ted: "Ahem. I call this: The Silence of Solitude."

Ted: "Twenty years,
a lifetime spent in the echo of my own silence,
shut away from the world's relentless march.
Comfort in the cold walls,
safety in the shadows,
the fortress of isolation,
my sanctuary,
my cell."

Ted: "I was shy of twenty,
barely breathing the air of adulthood,
when the door slammed shut.
The outside world, a monster with fangs,
and I,
its prey.
Fear wrapped around me like a second skin,
an invisible cloak,
a shield against pain."

Ted: "Comfort became a close friend,
the quiet,
a lullaby.
No more judgments,
no more eyes piercing through my flaws.
Just me,
and the echo of my thoughts,
the safety of my solitude."

Ted: "But in the depths of the night,
in the whispers of the dark,
a different tune plays.
A longing,
a whisper of a different kind.
To be seen,
to be heard,
to be held.
Who will fight for the lost and the forgotten?
Who will reach out into the shadows,
pull back the curtain,
and see me for who I am?"

Ted: "What if everyone saw? What if everyone knew?
Would they like what they saw, or would they hate it too?
The walls are high,
but my heart still beats.
The shadows are deep,
but my soul still sings.
A melody of loneliness,
a chorus of hope."

Ted: "Forty years,
and the world still turns without me.
I am fine, but I do not want to be any more.
Where has the time gone?
I watch from my window,
a silent observer,
a ghost in the daylight.
But the longing,
oh, the longing
doesn't fade."

Ted: "To step into the light,
to join the dance of life,
to feel the sun on my face,
the wind in my hair.
To hear my name,
not as a whisper,
but a call."

Ted: "Who remembers the lost and the forgotten?
Who will fight for the ones stuck in the shadows?"

Ted: "I am ready,
ready to break free,
to step into the world,
to find my place.
No longer content with shadows,
no longer a prisoner of my fears."

Ted: "I am ready,
ready to be found,
ready to be fought for."

Ted: "Who will fight for the lost and the forgotten?
Who will fight for me?"

Ted: "I am ready,
ready to be seen."

Ted: "Umm, it's...it's just a first draft. It's very unpolished. Yeah, I know it sounds weird. I'm not used to saying my poetry out loud and..."
Jean-Luc: "I don't like it. But I detest art in general, and that was barely art, so I can tolerate it."

Samantha: "I for one think it's amazing!"
Seamus: "Someone watched musicals."
Adriel: "He's been a hermit for more than half his life. I don't think he knows what musicals are."
Seamus: "Then he must be a real artist."

Peter: "It really resonated with me. Thank you for sharing it with the world."
Raymundo: "You saved the day Ted."

Ted: "That was so scary."
"Thank you Ted. Let us now proceed upstairs. It's time."

"12 contestants to start the season, 12 contestants to execute."

Peter: "I was slow and out of luck. I could not find the Mole."

Ted: "I was in a situation I was never supposed to be in. I could not find the Mole."

Raymundo: "I let myself be fooled. I could not find the Mole."

Zhang: "I slipped my way into the desert. But I am not the Mole."

Seamus and Samantha: "We threw sand in each other's eyes and lost sight of the truth. We could not find the Mole."

Adriel: "I failed at my own game. I could not find the Mole."

Zhang: "The night grew dark and I was unclear. I could not find the Mole."

Sanaa: "I emerged in the night, a new secret to be told. But I am not the Mole."

Ramona: "I let my heart rule my head and it cost me my game. I could not find the Mole."

Rudy: "I was chasing after the wrong goal. I could not find the Mole."

Sanaa: "I safeguarded their secrets and they safeguarded information. I could not find the Mole."

Sienna: "I let injustice pass and caused the revolution to fail, and it came back to bite me. I could not find the Mole."

Jean-Luc: "I was everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time. I was stuck in the shadows. I am not the Mole, nor could I find the Mole."

"Both finalists found the Mole. But one of them did better. It has been months since the final quiz, but the winner surely remembers the Mole's face and name. Who is the winner?"

"Mary Shelby is the official winner of the Smole, Season 59!"

Samantha: "Woo! Go Mary! Girl power!"

Mary: "It feels good to win but I can't claim all the credit. It was a team effort. My coalition partners and fellow finalists did an amazing job and we brought each other to the end. It was an intense season, especially towards the end, but I managed to stay calm, overcoming all blockers and competition to win. I am proud of this accomplishment and I thank the producers for giving me this chance."
"Congratulations Mary. You get the pot of 523/1000 points, as well as 22 more points from the quizzes, making your winnings 545,000 Simoleons."

"Mary caught onto the Mole since Day 1. Have you? Who is the Mole?"

Jordana: "Hehe, I am the Mole."

Peter: "I never once suspected this sweet innocent girl."
Adriel: "She's a better scammer than I am. I mean, better liar."
Seamus: "I'm sure I would have gotten it right if I lasted a little longer."
Rudy: "You did an amazing job Jordana. You were on my radar but slipped by just enough."

Jordana: "Hehe. I am the Mole! It feels so good to say it out loud. I loved lying to every one of you. Sorry not sorry hehe! I want to congratulate Mary. I could feel she caught onto me really early and I'm so impressed! Hehe. I also want to give a shout out to Sienna. Notice anything different about me hehe? I'm not wearing my helmet or gloves any more! You were right all along. I'm much stronger than I believed. This season tested me and showed me, hehe. This season was so much fun hehe, I wish I could do it all over again!"
"You did well, Jordana. You get the remainder: 455,000 Simoleons!"

"Let us welcome our runner-up: Sheila Rammstein!"
Adriel: "She was my Mole randomly and the longer she stayed the more I thought I lucked out and had it right."
Seamus: "You did amazing babe."

Sheila: "It's been a blast. I made so many mistakes during the season, both about the game and interpersonal relationships, but I'm glad everything worked out in the end. Even though Mary and Jordana were misdirecting me to Sienna, and there was a small road bump when I suspected Samantha, I'm proud of myself for seeing through that in the end and suspecting Jordana. I didn't win but it wasn't about winning for me; it was about the exposure and working hard to achieve my goals."
"Thank you Sheila. Here is a fun fact for all of you: Sheila was initially the first choice to be the Mole, but she declined."

Seamus: "What? Why?"
Sheila: "You were also on the season. I couldn't lie to you."
Seamus: "Babe, you silly bean."
Sheila: "But I proved that I could make it to the end on my own merit."
Seamus: "You did and I couldn't be prouder."

Ramona: "Get a room."

"This season, the Mole was hard at work sabotaging. Let's view her sabotages."

"In the first mission, Jordana wanted to be play chess because she did not want to stand out too much by playing the piano. Here, she deliberately lost and gave Ramona a wrong score, influencing 30 points."

"In the second mission, Jordana cleverly used her weakness to her advantage. She attempted to stall for time and slow down the group, at one time even tripping and breaking the artefacts in her bag. She also managed to get the group to place a few wrong items in the wrong places, such as the Sui ceramic pot."

"Jordana knew it would be too obvious to call out a fake song in the third mission but she still wanted to sabotage despite not being able to hear the others. She kept singing songs that were likely to clash or songs one might think of for a future prompt that would appear, increasing the chances of the others tripping up. This includes singing one-hit wonders or Taylor Swift songs before the respective prompts explicitly came up."

"China went extremely well for her, but that also meant she was becoming quite obvious. Jordana did not want to heavily sabotage her first mission in Egypt. She only wanted to complete a couple of tasks (but not too many). It is pure bad luck that she was caught by the police."

"Jordana tried to be more subtle after that. In the following mission, she tried to inspire unconfidence in the online audience through her clumsiness. Beyond that, she tried to discredit her partners and disagree with them. All of this is to reduce the total order volume."

"During snakes and ladders, Jordana only played well enough to charm a snake very late in the game, at a time when it was unlikely to make a big difference. In other words, she worked hard to be useless."

"Jordana's plan in the seventh mission was to muck around. When Mary found another path, she made sure to call attention to it. She succeeded in getting herself, Mary, and Ramona to try and open one chest: that's not a very efficient use of manpower."

"Jordana wanted to be in the balloon to sabotage at least one round. It didn't need much effort from her however since everyone else did the work for her. All she had to do was to misinterpret the mimes."

"After that, Jordana made sure to win nothing by always picking the wrong food."

"Jordana had no plans of emptying the pot right before the finale. However, the chaos brought about by the others made her feel like she had to join in to blend in. She believed that either Mary or Sienna was actually going to vote to empty the pot, so she made sure to vote the other way to keep the bonus points at bay."

"Finally, Jordana collected the least number of gems, which translated to the least amount of points. Her goal was to keep the winnings as low as possible, so that meant everything from taking gems out from the eligible pool to trying to convince the others that she had more points than reality so that someone else with a bigger pool would be designated as the negative collection.

"This season's Mole wasn't the easiest to catch, but those who caught onto the Mole were sure of their answers. Mary was the first one to catch the Mole right from the very first quiz. Since then, she never let go. She always partnered with the Mole, going so far as to form a coalition with her. Later, she realised she could exploit this by trying to partner with her to keep the rest from knowing too much for the quizzes."

"However, nobody else caught on to Jordana; at least, not enough to confidently place her name down. The second contestant to do so was actually Sanaa Madbouli, who was spreading between Jordana and Mary, but more of Jordana."

"Sienna eventually noticed Mary and Jordana constantly being together and knew that they suspected each other. However, she was more inclined to believe Mary was the Mole. Only in France did she suspect Jordana more, making her the fourth contestant to officially suspect Jordana."
Rudy: "I thought Jordana was suspicious too. I should have went with her instead."

"The third contestant was Sheila. However, she was evidently confused, changing her suspects among  the final four contestants. In fact, in the penultimate quiz, she struggled heavily between Sienna and Jordana, knowing that she had to make a choice. Fortunately she made the right choice in the end. Not that it mattered for that particular quiz since she was exempt."

"In the final quiz, it never came down to time. Sheila scored a commendable 26/30, but Mary trumped her with a near perfect score of 29/30. Let us give it up once again for Mary Shelby!"

"For everyone else, here are some clues that may have pointed you in the right direction."

***

"The first clue was present even before the season started. Jordana's pre-season interview was released at 1.24AM. If you pause the first introduction video at that time, who do you see? Jordana."

***

"The next clue is in the first mission and was present in the house in China. The colours of the four objects used to represent the four parts of the mission were black, white, red, and green."

"Those are the colours of the flag of Jordan, which is very close to Jordana."

***

"The idea of being last came up several times throughout the season. In the first episode, Jordana was the last to be introduced and enter the house. In the execution ceremonies, the names were always called out in a certain order. Following the order would always result in Jordana being the last contestant to potentially be called.  In the first quiz (and almost all other quizzes), she was the last option to the question 'Who is the Mole?'."

***

"Throughout the season, Jordana had been trying to hint that she is a liar and could not be trusted. We see some notable examples."

"In Episode 3, she claimed she saw a shoebill. However, shoebills are typically found in East Africa, not China. A bird nerd like her would know this."

"In France, Jordana told Sienna she saw a pine grosbeak, a bird found in North America, east Asia and Scandinavia, but rare in France."

"In Mission 8, Jordana said that Formula 1 was named after formula milk. She completely made that up."

***

"In Episode 7, we saw that Sanaa's register had a number on it: 747."

"The screenshots this season are mostly numbered. Screenshot 747 is a screenshot of Jordana the Mole."

***

"In Mission 6, there was a camera buried in sand outside the tower. Jordana's hobby includes photography."

***

"The photography reference carried on to the next mission. There was a strangely placed fishbowl in the tomb outside the room containing Mary's secret. Inside that room, we could later see an Eye of Horus on the wall. Fisheye is a term used in photography."

***

"In Episode 16, the quiz computer mousepad had a pattern."

"The full pattern includes birds. Jordana has made it abundantly clear she loves birds."

***

"There are three more clues to reveal. If you would turn your attention to the exemption please."

"Zhang, can you tell us what material the exemption is made of?"
Zhang: "It looks like jade."
"That is correct. This physical exemption has made its presence numerous times this season. If you were to search it up, jade is the birthstone of March. Only one contestant is born in March: Jordana."
Rudy: "Woah. Mind blown. I never even thought about it."

"The second clue is in this chest that was extracted from the tomb in Mission 7. This was the chest Sanaa could have opened had she succeeded in collecting 3 exemptions and traded them. Sanaa, please come and open it to see what you could have found."

Sanaa: "Huh?"
"Would you like to take it out and share it with everyone?"

Sanaa: "It is a photograph of Ramona."
"Yes, but it is a photo of old Ramona. Who would you think of when you see someone you know but older?"
Sanaa: "My parents."
"Yes. An old Ramona is a clue to Ramona's mother. Her name is Giordana, which sounds very close to Jordana."

"The last clue was also earned by Sanaa in Episode 18 and we are flashing it on the screen for everyone to see. It says: Rhe Mpoe liled flld snd voekinf. It looks like gibberish at first. The medium it was first presented is important too: this looks like a typographical error. It seems that someone meant to type 'The Mole likes golf and bowling' but accidentally pressed some wrong adjacent keys. Both sports involve bird terms, such as eagle, birdie, and turkey. Jordana may not like sports but she likes birds."

"The finalists had a chance to find some of these clues in the castle where they took the final quiz, but evidently they didn't need it."

"Now that all is known, we hope the answers have satisfied you. Thank you once again for being a part of yet another wonderful season and we hope to see you again next time."
