The Smole: November 2016

Over the course of this season, twelve hopeful Zimmaport residents were slowly dropped onshore as they fell prey to the Mole. They missed out on 800/1500 points, of which 150/260 were earned in the last mission, whereby the finalists had to go around town searching for journals and retrieve them via houseboat. All that is left now is to take the quiz and declare the winner, the runner up and, of course, the Mole.

Lisette: "It's been quite a while. Finally, it's the end of the road. I've been listening to Lloyd for a while so I think I'm not going to win, whether he's the Mole or not. Unless he lets me win, of course, but he knows I wouldn't want that."

Lloyd: "It can't be Lisette Mack, can it? I trust her and never really focused on her. That actually gives her room to sabotage. I let her be free for several missions, sometimes she earned points and sometimes she didn't. She wanted to sabotage at times to be more suspicious, but is it just a ruse?

Nah. I know that the Mole is Elaine Moseby. At first she wanted to hide, and only the Moke has reason to. Then she realised that wouldn't work out, so she needed to be more active and hold key positions to mess things up. Her reaction during executions were exaggerated and unconvincing. She's not cut out to be a Mole, since she can't act. But I'm sure she is."

Lisette: "My hypothetical money is on Elaine, but I can't overlook Lloyd Smart. He's smart, sure, but I trust him, and in this game, trusting is a fatal mistake. He didn't manage to earn all the points even though he was aiming to do so. Like the minesweeper mission. I didn't know how to play and I felt the last mine was wrong, but he decided to lose the points at the last moment. If he couldn't see, why didn't he become a flag so that he could come closer and get a better view?

Everyone makes mistakes though. Elaine Moseby has made too many. She hasn't been earning many points and at times felt like she was trying to keep points out. There is nothing more to say."

As for Lisette Mack, she may be an accomplice. Personally I didn't think she would get so far. I bet Lloyd told her he's the Mole to help her cheat. And then she tried to confuse Jasmine. She's deeper than she looks."

Lloyd: "I hope I didn't make any mistakes."

Elaine: "I'm feeling more confident."

It is time for the finale ceremony. What better place to hold it than Port Oasis, the home of the houseboat? Guests are invited for the after party, but for now, this is granted exclusive access to the ex contestants. Speaking of which, here comes our first one.

"Let us put our hands together for Justin Huez!"

Justin: "I had to miss leg day for this."

"Followed by Autumn Fall!"

Autumn: "At least I'm having fun in a foreign location. I couldn't find my sun hat though."

"In tenth place is Herman DeBleu!"

Herman: "I would have gotten away with my plan if not for that darnedest Mole."

"Following him is Michelle Brack!"

Michelle: "It's such a hot day."

Michelle: "Anyway, I'll be counting on you all to give me your votes. I know just the thing to say to get your support."

"Our eighth placed is Catherine Thomas!"

Catherine: "Hello everybody."

Random guy passing through.

"Next up, Matthew McIlroy!"

Matthew: "Now is the time to gain back that confidence. Loudly proclaim the Mole!"

"Please take a seat. Our next contestant has arrived."

"Put your hands together for Chung-Hee Pyong!"

Lars: "I hope I have not been forgotten."

"AHere comes Randall Tanzer!"

Randall: "I hope I'm not late."

"Last but not least, our fourth placer, Jasmine Risotto!"

Jasmine: "What's up, darlings?"

"The finalists are eagerly waiting inside. Before we make the reveal, who do you think the Mole is?"

Randall: "I went home on Jasmine. I was split between her and her sister-in-law, so if it's not Jasmine, then it must be Elaine."

Herman: "Rubbish. It's clearly Lloyd Smart."

Catherine: "You are clearly biased. It is not Lloyd, I am certain of it. I think it is Elaine. I think that was his suspicion at the time of my departure."

Matthew: "Oh, I thought it was Lisette, for playing the victim. Good thing I didn't say anything."

Autumn: "I agree with you, Matthew."

Jasmine: "I bet it's Elaine. I'll make sure my brother handles her."

"Thank you for your opinions. It is time to satisfy your curiosity by answering the big question of every season: Who is the Mole?"

"The Mole of Season 26 is..."

"...Elaine Moseby!"

Elaine: "Hello everyone. I felt that I wasn't a very good Mole this season because I started to become distracted with personal issues, but looking at the pot I think I've done a fairly decent job. I apologise to all those who trusted me. I'll be donating the money to charity."

Matthew: "Is she putting the blame on me now?"

Catherine: "Shh. Let us just be happy that Lloyd won."

Matthew: "How do you know he won?"

Catherine: "He must have."

"Thank you Elaine. Let's give our hands to Elaine!"

Jasmine: "I'll make sure to deal with you in a way that won't ruin my image."

"You would have earned 700000 Simoleons. However, because you have been suspected -013 times, 13000 Simoleons will be given to the winner instead, leaving you with 687000 Simoleons, which is still a decent amount."

"Now, let us look at our Mole's sabotages.

In Mission 1, she was not found. She disguised herself as a coffee shop worker to fool Michelle, who did not set foot in Dover Rest at all. In Mission 2, she deliberately tried to cover her sail with her body so that Lloyd and Autumn could not see it. In Mission 3, she didn't even try to say the phrase at first until she realised it would be too conspicuous,

Elaine: "BREBRERBERBREBREBRBRBREBREB!"

Lars: "Pardon my beg? I do not understand."

Elaine: "Bbwy frm fr frr Frbwo."

Lars: "I am...old?"

Elaine: "Bbwy frm frrMMM frr fwo."

Lars: "I am from...North Pole? Wait, I understand! I am from the Smole!"

In Mission 4, she knew where the bomb was, but made sure to suggest plausible, but incorrect locations to send everyone on a wild goose chase. Despite being trained, she also tried to stall by vommitting.

Elaine: "Why did Lloyd have to drive so fast?"

Lloyd: "I'm sure he went past speedboat limits. HURRRL."

In Mission 5, she wanted to waste her disc so that she would be powerless in saving Jasmine. Her aim was to not earn the exemption since she had no use for it. In other words, she wanted to sabotage Jasmine's chances of surviving, as she was worried that Jasmine would catch on. In Mission 6, she knew Lloyd was going to complete the mission successfully, so she tried to take control from him and make him look bad. In Mission 7, she actually tried to dissuade some from coming, though this was not shown.

Elaine: "Hello there. You are Lisette's father?"

Stewart: "Anything the matter?"

Elaine: "Yes, actually. The truth is, the contestant who knows the most guests on this room will have to leave the game, so for Lisette's sake, I think you should tell the rest of your family to not bother coming."

Stewart: "Martha was reluctant to but I think she would come. I better call her quick. Thanks for telling me."

In Mission 8, Elaine only pretended to fish, which made progressing very difficult. In Mission 9, she deliberately missed a stop to incur a penalty. She did not want to make it too obvious, though, so she set the second fish free at the correct location.

Elaine has passed by...she's not stopping.

In Mission 10, Elaine carried pen and paper with her. She threw away some of the papers with the original points and rewrote them for some journals, resulting in the journal now being worth lower (or no) points. She also considered dropping a few journals in the ocean like Herman's but decided against since Lloyd was nearby.

"Only two remain in the house.'

"It is time to bring them out."

"The winner of the Smole, season 26, is..."

*drum roll*

"...Lloyd Smart!"

Lloyd: "I am actually not that surprised. I was sure Elaine was the Mole, which meant that I would win since I suspected her first. Still, it's nice to have the confirmation. I would thank my parents, but nah. They're not here anyway and they wouldn't really be proud of me being here at all."

"Thank you. Please take a seat. You have earned a grand total of 813000 Simoleons!"

Lloyd: "I'm going to use it to help fund the band. Not because of Lisette, although that is part of the reason, but also because I'm now part of it."

"Let us now welcome our runner-up out. A round of applause for Lisette Mack!"

Lisette: "I knew I wouldn't win, because if Elaine was the Mole, Lloyd would win and if Lloyd was the Mole, I was dead. I didn't win, but making it here and losing to my boyfriend is the next best thing. I'm glad we weathered the stormy seas together and made it to the end together. Frankly, if Jasmine was still around, I may pick her, so Lloyd thoroughly deseerves the win."

Randall: "Well, I'd never thought she would go so far, but now I know why."

Lars: *i should win. I need to be the most famous."

Autumn: "Congratulations!"

Lloyd: "Wonderful speech."

"Thank you Lisette. Please take a seat beside Lloyd. For those curious, Lisette scored 77.6% of the maximum total score attainable while Lloyd had 87.5%. I shan't go into specifics of the weight age of each quiz."

Lisette: "So proud of you, Liz."

Lisette: "I'm even prouder of you."

You know production is broke when the best house they can afford is a block of driftwood (episode 17)

In Episode 3, three sails spell out "The Mole killed", referring to how Elaine murdered her son. In Episode 11, there were 27 mines. Take the digits of Elaine's age (39) and multiply them to get 27. In Episode 15, one fish had a clue "the mole is no duplicate". This means that the Mole does not share the same first letter as another contestant, hence eliminating Lloyd and Lisette.

Elaine: "I found a fish that said that the Mole is no duplicate. I better not tell Lloyd."

In Episode 19, one journal was at the police station because Elaine's husband is a police officer.

Lars: "Who called the police? Did we do anything illegal"

Elaine: "That's my husband. I thought he would be working today. It is a weekday, after all."

Autumn: "Wow, clever. But it's no fair to me because I didn't stick around long enough for most of these clues to appear."

Justin: "I'm sure I would have caught them if I wasn't the first to go out."

Herman: "That f****** Lloyd had to win. Of all the contestants, him."

Michelle: "I better go suck up to him."

Lisette: "Wow, how did I not realize any of this?"

Lisette: "I should have noticed."

Lloyd: "It's okay, Liz. You're still runner up. That's impressive."

"Thank you all for coming. That concludes the finale ceremony. You are now free to invite anyone you want over for the after party."

Herman: "Is that so? Hmm...maybe I can still ruin their lives after all..."

Michelle: "Quite frankly, you can't do anything. My reputation has taken a hit for forming a coalition with you. I misjudged."

Herman: "Shut up, tramp."

Jasmine: "Here? Ugh, fine."

Justin: "I hope Vivi will come."

Autumn: "Who's Vivi?"

Justin: "My ex wife. She divorced me for no reason, saying she wanted to relive youth or something. I don't know where she moved to but I know she's still in town. I'm trying to get her back."

Lisette: "Hello, yes you guys can come over now. Oh, you're not free? But you said you would come!"

Catherine: "Lloyd, I'm sorry for all the mischief I caused. I was foolish. Accept this gift as an apology?"

Lloyd: "Okay. What is it?"

Catherine: "I know you've been into rock lately, so I decided to buy you an electric guitar."

Lloyd: "Really? Thanks Catherine!"

Lloyd: "Film me instead."

Lloyd: "Stop butting in, Lars."

Lloyd: "I'll go test it out now."

Clint: "How does it feel to lose everything?"

Herman: "Shut it, I'm not saying anything to a reporter."

Randall: "I don't know how I'm going to tell Magdalene that I was kicked out of my own house."

Elaine: "So, Matthew...how have you been?"

Matthew: "I don't want to listen to you. You were the Mole! And you killed your own child?"

Elaine: "I regret it, really."

Matthew: "Save it. I'm done talking to you."

Catherine: "I hope I can make things right."

Lars: "This turkey is good. Eat with me?"

Catherine: "I suppose why not."

Lloyd: "Sweet baby."

Lloyd: "Awesome."

Lloyd: "ROCK ON!"

Michelle: "What the? Lloyd, don't scare me like that."

Randall: "Oh, Lloyd is playing music. At least there's music."

Joshua: "Have you seen my sis Lisette anywhere?"

Randall: "I think she was making a few calls."

Lisette: "They said they'd come."

Autumn: "I'm not staying around to listen to garbage."

Lisette: "This isn't garbage you pompous princess. It's the sound of love."

Autumn: "It's the sound of crows dying. I'm out of here."

Looks like visitors did come.

Lisette: "Hey Josh. Did Mom and Dad come?"

Joshua: "Yeah but they're busy getting autographs from that celeb. Anyway, I just wanted to say I love you and am sorry for being so rude to you when you wanted to leave and join a band."

Lisette: "Aw, come here."

Joshua: "Ew, no. I have a rep to maintain."

Justin: "Sigh, Vivi didn't come. Better sweat it out."

Michelle: "I hate this but I've got to pretend to like it to get on Lloyd's good side. The musicians are a demographic I could reach out to and win over. That'll give me an edge."

Lars: "Michelle, do you remember by name?"

Michelle: "Who are you?"

Lars: "You promised you would educate me on the voting process."

Michelle: "Oh, you can't vote? Buh-bye."
