In the previous episode of the Smole, Cecelia, Caitlin and Mandy learned to samba while the others learned the capoeira. At Carnival, Mandy and Cecelia failed at secret checkpoints, forcing harder capoeira moves to be performed. While Avery succeeded, Hugh did not, and the final move was performed wrongly, and by Alan instead of Seraphine. 10/44 points were earned, bringing the pot to 93/170 points. Who will be the third contestant to be executed? Who is the Mole?

Alan: "We spent the rest of the night partying at the carnival, but the three ladies were ready to just sit around and relax instead of dance. It was really fun."
●◆●◆●◆●
Caitlin: "This is so unfair. The three of us had to work so hard dancing across the streets in heels for the whole duration, and the others could sit back and relax in the meantime. And in the end only three of them needed to perform. I should have stuck to my guts and went with capoeira. But samba was fun, not gonna lie."
●◆●◆●◆●
Hugh: "I'm an improv comedian. I like to add a bit of flair to everything I do. Art always evolves; they shouldn't be stuck in tradition. But I think the most eye-roll thing was how we got have easily earned 20 points if Seraphine went up instead of I J. It was Beverly who first misnamed the martelo move and then Avery later confirmed it."

Avery: "You're lucky these big ol' pillars are blocking the windows."
Alan: "I sleep in this all the time. There's nothing to be ashamed of."
Avery: "That's what I told my maw and paw. Then they told me to put on a singlet 'cos we had a young girl in the house."
Alan: "Young girl?"
Avery: "My sister Fern."
Alan: "That's a different story. In the special forces it's all guys in there."
Avery: "Why did you join the special forces?"
Alan: "'Cause it looked cool."
Avery: "Oh. That's it?"
Alan: "Yeah. I'm not giving BS about serving the nation and all that. That's great too and makes me feel important, but that was an afterthought."
Avery: "Do y'all get to shoot wild animals and stuff?"
Alan: "Not wild animals, but we do have target practice. And yeah, we get to shoot loads of guns. M4, M1911, Barrett M107."
Avery: "I don't know what any of those mean."
Alan: "Why the sudden interest? Want to join the elites?"
Avery: "Yeah, it sounds cool. Much better than being in a hot dog suit. I hunt all the time too."
Alan: "No matter how good you are at a hunter you can't beat a professional marksman."
Avery: "My trusty rifle's a 10/10. I had it since I was a wee lad. I even killed my sister's pet pig too."
Alan: "You killed a pet?"
Avery: "It was gonna be bacon anyway. Fern was just being a whiny B about it so I killed the damn pig."
Alan: "Your family rears pigs?"
Avery: "My neighbours do. They gave the lil runts to us."
Alan: "What happened to your own pet pig?"
Avery: "Oh Willy? He became bacon in the end too. What good was a pig to wheat and barley farmers than for food?"

Carolina: "I didn't even notice when they put up the decorations."
Caitlin: "I can hear music in the distance."
Marshall: "The carnival's still going."
Carolina: "You were amazing out there last night by the way. You took the lead. I loved the confidence."
Marshall: "I am thankful that you were with me and not with them. They would have corrupted you."
Carolina: "It's their culture Ba."
Marshall: "Their culture is twisted and poisoned. Subjecting everyone to sleepless nights and unnecessary skin."
Carolina: "Don't be such a prude Ba. We should be encouraging Caitlin."
Marshall: "We should not. I admire the bravery but the foolishness is admonishable."
Seraphine: "I would love to see this so-called corruption."Marshall: "Are you out of your mind? I will never let my daughter be corrupted."

Seraphine: "Chaining her in a leash won't stop the corruption. It'll fuel it."
Caitlin: "She has a point. You should let your daughter explore and make mistakes."
Marshall: "Is it wrong for a father to want his daughter to lead a safe life? To make fewer mistakes? I have the experience and made many mistakes in my past. I don't want her to repeat them."
Caitlin: "Of course. But you have to think from her shoes."
Marshall: "I am."
Carolina: "If I had known you were going to be a part of this season I would have withdrawn."
Marshall: "Where do you think you are going? CAROLINA SOUTH! 你给我滚回来!"
Seraphine: "Leave her."
Caitlin: "Yeah, let her cool off."

Beverly: "I forgot what they called this but it's a one-handed cartwheel."
Mandy: "Oh my goodness!"
Beverly: "Hi-ya!"
Mandy: "I would not have imagined you as such a skilled martial artist, even better than Marshall in fact."
Mandy: "I was the dead weight in the previous mission."
Beverly: "Don't say that."
Mandy: "I couldn't keep up and kept making the wrong moves."
Beverly: "Really? I couldn't tell."
Mandy: "You weren't there for the whole journey."
Mandy: "I tried to adapt but it didn't always work out since I obviously am out of step with the group. Cecelia got mad at me."
Beverly: "Hey now, everyone has their strengths. Don't let that snob talk you down. You are an intelligent successful corporate woman. I tried the corporate life once and I couldn't do it. You're just not a dancer."

Mandy: "Thank you for that. I needed to hear that."
Beverly: "I know how hurtful it is when you try your hardest but it still doesn't work out. It's like, why can't they just understand me? I tried so hard. So hard."
Mandy: "Do you want to talk about it?"
Beverly: "I don't want to trauma dump. Good vibes only from here on out."
Mandy: "I can imagine how stressful it is in your line of work. No mistakes can be made. It's the same with mine, especially since something has gone wrong already, so I have to make things better. The stakes are raised."
Mandy: "Have you ever thought of changing your line of work?"
Beverly: "I have but it didn't work out. Just not an office gal."
Mandy: "How about something else?"
Beverly: "I don't know what else I can be. But we'll see. We're here to have fun!"
Mandy: "And find the Mole."
Beverly: "And that."

Cecelia: "What are you staring at?"
Hugh: "The clothes spinning in the dryer. It's so magical watching the colours swirl."
Cecelia: "You think that's magical? Are you a toddler?"
Hugh: "Why not you show me what real magic is then?"
Cecelia: "Do you treat me as a birthday party magician?"
Hugh: "You did just call me a toddler."
Cecelia: "I am an accomplished magician in the Society of American Magicians. It is an exclusive organisation that few can get into. Why should I perform a silly trick just to amuse you?"
Hugh: "Woah, no need to get touchy about it. I never knew magic was so intense."
Cecelia: "Of course it is. Every profession requires skill and dedication."
Hugh: "I meant more of the magician but you know what, let's take it as that instead."
Cecelia: "Do you not practice? You are a performer as well."
Hugh: "Of course I do. It's not easy. I just try not to be so territorial about it. We shouldn't gatekeep entertainment."
Cecelia: "If you don't gatekeep then the quality and reputation of the profession is diluted. You will have amateurs and nobodies like Seamus Motheresa and Sheila Rammstein joining and ruining the reputation."
Hugh: "It seems you have some personal beef with them."
Cecelia: "It's nothing personal."
Hugh: "Okay..."
Cecelia: "It's purely professional. I take pride in my work and must do my duty to uphold the integrity and rigour."

"How do you think it's going?"
Mole: "It's better than I expected. It makes up for the first mission."
"We won't have many opportunities to speak like this, so sometimes you may fly into a mission blind."
Mole: "I wish I had more preparation time but I won't disappoint."
"Tomorrow's mission is a mission that has appeared in the past. Here is a short clip of what happened the first time it appeared."
Mole: "I see. I know what to do. This is easy to fail."
"Good luck."
Mole: "I won't need luck."
