62.02-Leave and don't look back

In the first episode of the Smole, the contestants had to give two truths and one lie. Only 23/66 points were earned from correctly guessing lies. Hugh, Cecelia and Mandy earned a chance for an advantage. What would that advantage be? Who will be executed first? Who is the Mole?

●◆●◆●◆●

Mandy: "I thought we were done with the mission and would be heading to our accoms this season but no. We were brought to a bar instead."

●◆●◆●◆●

Beverly: "The bar was called Botego Pinca Plena...I think that's what it was. I studied French, not Portuguese. But anyway, it was a bar on the docks. It was such a vibe. The first thing we saw were a bunch of balls with labels on them. I remember they were traits that we had to assign ourselves and such before the season started. Then I saw the photos of us that we took earlier in the morning."

Carolina: "We had to assign all 20 traits to the 12 of us based on what we had just seen in the mission, one at a time."

●◆●◆●◆●

Alan: "The crew is efficient. These were only just taken a while ago."

Alan: "I need a refresher on the traits. This one says 'adaptable', this one says 'resilient', 'creative', 'determined'...oh, a note:

A Mole is determined to sabotage the pot. They must be adaptable and resilient, observant to what happens around them, adjusting tactics as necessary and bouncing back from setbacks. They are creative in devising strategies, manipulative when influencing others, and bold in their attack. Calm under pressure, social enough to blend in and remain inconspicuous, and meticulous in action, they are smart and analytical, careful not to leave traces. Unpredictable in their actions, yet jovial and playful to lower suspicion, a true Mole is patient, misleading when necessary, and thrives in chaotic environments."

Alan: "Marshall and Carolina were quite chaotic, but especially Marshall. Sometimes he supported Carolina and sometimes he didn't."

Alan: "I know Hugh and Sullivan were not taking it seriously. I think I'll give Hugh 'playful'. 'Unpredictable' too."

Alan: "Norman was inconspicuous. I forgot about his existence so many times."

Alan: "I think I was pretty adaptable."

Alan: "Cecelia was creative since she somehow managed to get an advantage out of it."

Alan: "I think Avery did very well by pretending to be dim. He's manipulative."

Alan: "Caitlin's comment about the colours being a trip point for Cecelia was quite smart."

Avery: "Mandy sure was smart and analytititical. I J too. They were talking about splitting votes and being safe, though I don't know what hedges had to do with it all."

Avery: "Hugh was very social to me. But he was also manipulative and misleading. I got his lie wrong and so did all the others. He was also very determined in picking #1 all the way."

●◆●◆●◆●

Beverly: "I would say Seraphine is manipulative. She tried to do some weird psych thing by pointing out how good Hugh was at getting the lies then claiming she jinxed it and then voting differently from him."

●◆●◆●◆●

Avery: "Carolina is meticulous. She was doing things like details and numbers with her statements."

●◆●◆●◆●

Beverly: "Carolina used numbers to mislead. She was also chaotic when she tried to make Marshall look like the Mole. What was up with that?"

●◆●◆●◆●

Avery: "Norman is bold and daring for eating frog legs."

●◆●◆●◆●

Beverly: "I should put some traits on myself. We were asked about it previously. If only I remember what I put."

Beverly: "Marshall was careful with his words. That's why he hesitated so much when asked if he was lying."

Beverly: "I'm just left with 'patient', so...it will have to go to you, Caitlin. I don't have a single trait on you yet."

●◆●◆●◆●

Caitlin: "I am basing my answers primarily on how they behaved about being asked if they were the Mole. I found Cecelia really manipulative there with her directions, especially with Sullivan."

●◆●◆●◆●

Carolina: "Do we have to put one on everyone? Probably not. There are 20 traits and only 12 of us. I'm putting my 3 traits in first."

●◆●◆●◆●

Cecelia: "I think I demonstrated even more traits in the first mission."

●◆●◆●◆●

Hugh: "Carolina is meticulous as she used numbers in all her three statements. She also managed to hide her joining from her father so I think she's good at being inconspicuous."

Hugh: "Caitlin was observant. She noticed the similarities in her lie and Cecelia's lie."

●◆●◆●◆●

Caitlin: "Seraphine was misleading when she said she was the Mole. She was bold too for being the only one to claim that."

●◆●◆●◆●

Hugh: "Avery was misleading because he seemed really slow in the head but did well. Sullivan also did surprisingly well and he tried to make it seem like he was always following my lead, so he's unpredictable and manipulative."

●◆●◆●◆●

Caitlin: "Norman ate frog legs. I suppose he's determined and resilient."

●◆●◆●◆●

Carolina: "I know my father is usually decisive. That hesitation he gave when saying he was not the Mole felt manipulative to me."

●◆●◆●◆●

Hugh: "Based on first impressions and vibes, Mandy is a very smart, patient and careful woman."

Hugh: "Norman looks like someone who could be more than bold. I think he could be really ruthless."

●◆●◆●◆●

Caitilin: "Patient...hmm, I suppose Sullivan was patient since he had to go last both times."

Caitlin: "Mandy was adaptable. She was willing to change her vote to go with the majority a few times."

●◆●◆●◆●

Carolina: "Cecelia is bold for being the first one to suggest that Beverly is the Mole."

●◆●◆●◆●

Cecelia: "It's just the way Seraphine talks that is confusing to me. And that's saying something."

●◆●◆●◆●

Hugh: "I found Cecelia's statements the most interesting and creative."

Caitlin: "Beverly was happy about being thought as the Mole."

●◆●◆●◆●

Hugh: "Beverly's the most social of the lot. I guess she's analytical too. She was going on about psychology and double bluffs."

●◆●◆●◆●

Mandy: "Beverly was chaotic when she kept voicing her second-guessing out loud. She also wanted others to trust her initially, and then later felt that it was useless having a plan."

●◆●◆●◆●

Marshall: "Mandy is careful because she did not want everyone to choose one statement."

●◆●◆●◆●

Norman: "Sullivan is adaptable given his career."

●◆●◆●◆●

Mandy: "If those aren't real nerves, Sullivan is a really great actor and his ramble was an attempt to make himself look like he's not the Mole. That's highly manipulative behaviour."

●◆●◆●◆●

Marshall: "I knew Norman before this but I did not know about the truths he told. In my opinion that makes him unpredictable. It means I do not truly know him enough."

●◆●◆●◆●

Norman: "Mandy seems the smartest."

●◆●◆●◆●

Mandy: "I said Avery was patient. He should be observant too. I think he did relatively well in guessing the lies correctly."

●◆●◆●◆●

Marshall: "Caitlin was happy that she fooled us with the lie. Too happy. That is a sign of a manipulator."

●◆●◆●◆●

Mandy: "Caitlin seems like a very sweet and unassuming woman. I would say she's jovial and inconspicuous since she has such a disarming smile."

●◆●◆●◆●

Marshall: "I know my own daughter best. She is very observant and smart."

●◆●◆●◆●

Norman: "Who is creative? That will have to be the artist Seraphine."

●◆●◆●◆●

Seraphine: "Avery was the most social with how successful he was in deducing lies."

●◆●◆●◆●

Marshall: "Hugh is creative because he wore a costume and he told his lies well enough to be be caught by only one of us."

●◆●◆●◆●

Norman: "Hugh was chaotic when he said he wasn't the Mole today. He made things confusing. He is also manipulative for being one of the three with an advantage in store because he managed to fool all but one."

●◆●◆●◆●

Seraphine: "I was careful to avoid Hugh and Carolina's lies."

●◆●◆●◆●

Mandy: "Apart from being determined, I would say I J is adaptable. He had to give his statements first so he had no reference."

●◆●◆●◆●

Sullivan: "Mandy did say she thrives in stress. How can she not be resilient?"

●◆●◆●◆●

Marshall: "Bold, yes, but Seraphine is also meticulous to notice that Hugh did well at the start and then chose a different statement from him when he no longer did well."

●◆●◆●◆●

Sullivan: "Marshall 100% chaotic and manipulative with how he didn't want to let others know he knew Norman."

●◆●◆●◆●

Marshall: "Beverly came here for a holiday. She is treating this as a game than a competition so she is playful as well."

●◆●◆●◆●

Sullivan: "Hugh was so ruthless with how he voted."

●◆●◆●◆●

Mandy: "I thought Norman was pretty creative in his statements. Meticulous too, since he gave elaboration for the statements, like why he liked frog legs."

●◆●◆●◆●

Sullivan: "I J played the leader at the end. He led, so he can also mislead? I'm pretty sure we were wrong plenty of times under his leadership."

●◆●◆●◆●

Seraphine: "I could tell I J was getting increasingly frustrated but kept his cool. Therefore he is good at handling stress and is resilient and determined."

●◆●◆●◆●

Norman: "I J took charge in the second half. He was bold and resolute."

●◆●◆●◆●

Seraphine: "I sat beside Norman and he was quiet. He was so calm."

●◆●◆●◆●

Sullivan: "Seraphine could adapt her response according to the situation and what happened."

Alan: "What's up there?"

●◆●◆●◆●

Alan: "When I was done assigning traits to everyone, I was told to go upstairs. I did not expect that. I was unprepared. Shame on me."

●◆●◆●◆●

Avery: "Oh naw."

●◆●◆●◆●

Beverly: "Are you kidding me? We have to take the quiz right now?"

"Good evening, contestants. It is a new season and a new journey. You have taken your first quiz and now sit here awaiting the first execution."

"Earlier we asked each of you if you are the Mole. You were allowed to lie then, but in this chapel, I hope you tell the truth. Avery Simpson, are you the Mole?"
Avery: "Me? Naw, it ain't me."

"Avery is telling the truth."
Norman: "What the fuck?"
Beverly: "Are we just revealing our identities now? What's going on?"

"Norman Bazaxx, are you the Mole?"
Norman: "I don't want to answer that."
"But you have to. Are you the Mole?"
Norman: "...No. No I'm not."

"Norman is telling the truth. He is not the Mole."

"Hugh Mar, are you the Mole?"
Hugh: "If I say yes?"
"Are you really the Mole?"

"Hugh is telling the truth."

"Sullivan O'Migod, are you the Mole?"

"Alan Jeffrey Iligan, are you the Mole?"
Alan: "I'm not the Mole."

"Alan is telling the truth."

"Carolina South, are you the Mole?"
Carolina: "Something is up here. I knew it the moment we had to suddenly take a 5-question quiz."
"Answer the question. Are you the Mole?"
Carolina: "No."

"Carolina is telling the truth."

"Mandy Bindley, are you the Mole?"
Mandy: "If we're all doing this, then there's no harm. I'm not it."

"Mandy is telling the truth."

"This morning, you identified 7 contestants as a group who were not the Mole. You are right; those 7 are not the Mole. But there are also 5 contestants among you who you thought was the Mole. But they can't all be it."

"Caitlin Knox, are you the Mole?"
Caitlin: "Sadly nope."

"Caitlin is telling the truth."

"Beverly Everton, are you the Mole?"

"Beverly is telling the truth."

"Cecelia Zazie, are you the Mole?"

Cecelia: "You're just forcing us to admit it. Yeah I'm not the Mole."

"Cecelia is telling the truth."

"Seraphine Faqeeri, are you the Mole?"
Seraphine: "It is not me."

"Seraphine is telling the truth."

"Then it must be Marshall, the one everyone thought was lying about his identity. Marshall Arsimfoo, are you the Mole?"
Marshall: "...I am not the Mole."

"Marshall is telling the truth."

Caitlin: "So none of us are the Mole?"
Avery: "What's going on here?"
"That's right. This season started without a Mole. But through the power of democracy, you have just chosen the Mole. One by one you will step forward to find out if you are this season's Mole. Once you know your identity for the rest of the season, leave and don't look back."

The search for the Mole has only just begun. Whose strategy has just been turned upside down?
