40.10-Fill the gap

In the last mission, the contestants had to claim foreign language dictionaries on a first-come-first-served basis. Damien was the last to pick and thus he could not get a dictionary, but he got a new car in the process. He had to answer questions in foreign languages, meeting the right contestants and turning off the correct GPSes to find the right location and earn 50 points in one hour. However, Damien crashed the car, resulting in 0/50 points earned and leaving the pot at 280/500 points. However, Shirley received an exemption out of this for having her chosen language being the sole language in the car at the end of the mission. The gap is constantly widening. Can the contestants fill the gap in time, both in terms of the pot and the imperfect knowledge they have?

Autumn: "That was a boring mission. I was just standing around waiting for someoen to come but nobody did. Who even uses print versions of dictionaries any more?"

Milan: "What is that?"

Milan: "It looks like somebody's diario."

Milan: "It is dere loss for leaving dere diario lying around."

Milan: "I cannot read de grafia. Scrive come un pollo!"

Shirley: "Mind if I join you?"

Carol: "Go ahead. But I thought you were a teetotal?"
Shirley: "I might as well try."

Shirley: "How are things with Jerome?"
Carol: "Jerome? He's gone now. You know that, right?"

Shirley: "I do. It's just that...did you trust him?"

Carol: "Completely and utterly. I knew him beforehand. He was such a sweetheart and so innocent."

Shirley: "Do you trust me?"

Carol: "I do. Why?"
Shirley: "Because I trust you too. I have a secret I want to confide in you. Holding it in makes me suffocate. I..."

Shirley: "Nevermind. Forget I said anything."

Shirley: "Do you have a guilty conscience?"

Benjamin: "I..."
Shirley: "Are you too ashamed to even look me in the eye?"

Benjamin: "I..."
Shirley: "What? You're not even going to apologise? You can't even own up to your actions?"

Carol: "I don't know what's going on but I think I should give them some space."

Shirley: "How do you intend to make it up to me?"
Benjamin: "Make it up to you?"

Shirley: "You think you can just...you think I'm going to let you get away with it?"

Shirley: "She doesn't deserve to be happy-go-lucky."

Shirley: "Rape her."

Benjamin: "What?"

Shirley: "You ruined my life. Go and ruin hers too."

Benjamin: "Are you out of your mind?"

Shirley: "It's what you've always been wanting to do, isn't it? Go on! Or do you need me to set some romantic music and light a few candles to get you in the mood? Because it didn't seem like you needed it last time."

Benjamin: "You're crazy."
Shirley: "I trusted you. And this is how you repay me. I hope your wife realises what a horrible man you are and divorces you for good. I hope you get into an accident and can never have children ever again."

Autumn: "Ben, what happened? Shirley looked very upset."
Benjamin: "It's nothing."
Autumn: "It very clearly isn't nothing."

Benjamin: "There is no problem. Did you not hear me?"

Autumn: "If you insist. But you should at least make it up to her. You made her quite upset."
Benjamin: "I didn't do anything, you hear me? And you should stay away."

Milan: "I found dis, Carol. It looks like Damien's diario."
Carol: "Milan! You stole this from him?"

Milan: "Scusami? I did not steal. He left it on de table. It is open for anybody to take. Unfortunately I cannot read what is inside."

Carol: "Are you scared for the upcoming quiz?"

Milan: "Scared? I am not scared."

Carol: "It's okay to show your feelings, Milan. Nobody will judge you or call you weak. You don't have to act strong."
Milan: "I only took de diario because it is good to have more informazione. Do not read too much into it."

Shirley: "Damien! What are you doing in Ben's room?"
Damien: "I should be asking you that."

Shirley: "I came to...er...get some of Ben's things. He told me to get it."

Damien: "Oh, the two of you are on speaking terms again. That's good. Now if you'll excuse me..."
Shirley: "You haven't answered my question. What are you doing here?"

Damien: "I was looking for Lisette."
Shirley: "For what?"
Damien: "It's none of your business. I want to keep it private."

Shirley: "I saw everything."

Damien: "Define 'everything'."

Shirley: "I saw you steal Bonnie's journal. I can report this to her."

Damien: "Go ahead. I'm not scared of you."

Shirley: "Back off."
Damien: "You back off."

Shirley: "I won't let men bully me any more."

Damien: "Maybe I should take your journal too. Or maybe I already have."
Shirley: "Your threats don't work against me. I heard about what happened in the mission. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're doing this because you're worried that Bonnie suspects you."

Damien: "Please, she's more than welcome. I'm just here to get back at her for humiliating me in that mission."

Shirley: "I won't stop you."

Damien: "You won't?"
Shirley: "No. I'll pretend nothing ever happened, as long as you share the information you gathered with me."

Damien: "I don't see why I have to do that."

Shirley: "You're right. You don't. But you want to. Especially considering I may have something very interesting for you. It concerns your Ma."

Damien: "Spill."

Shirley: "She's a clever woman. She knows she couldn't trust anybody in this game. Not even her own son. So she approached me as a secret coalition. I know who she suspected on the night she was executed."

Damien: "I don't believe you."
Shirley: "You don't have to. Ultimately, it's your choice. But information is currency in this game. And currency must be spent eventually. I just need to find a willing buyer. That shouldn't be too hard."

Shirley: "Anyway, don't let me stop you from doing whatever you want. Goodbye, and we didn't meet."

Herb: "What's worse than suddenly knowing you have a daughter after over twenty years of separation? It's when you have a daughter who doesn't see you as her father. She really thinks that I was heartless enough to abandon her. If I have to lie about walking out on the family in order to gain her trust, then I'm willing to take the blame. Hopefully that will get her to soften her stance towards me."

Herb: "Bonnie, I made you some coffee."
Bonnie: "I don't want to speak with a spineless man."

Herb: "Wait! Bonnie, don't leave. I have something I want to say to you."
Bonnie: "I don't want to hear it."
Herb: "Five minutes. That's all I ask."

Herb: "You're right. I am spineless. I'm sorry, Bonnie. I should never have abandoned you and your mother."

Bonnie: "At least you're finally admitting it."

Herb: "Is Tina doing well?"

Bonnie: "Why do you care?"

Herb: "I want to make things right. All my life I've been living life alone. It can get lonely. I want to feel the warmth of family while I still can. Give me a second chance, Bonnie."

Herb: "Does she still have that scarf I bought for her? The red one?"

Bonnie: "It's too late for all this."
Herb: "Please, Bonnie, give me another chance. I want to make it up to you and your mother."

Bonnie: "She's dead."

Herb: "Dead?"

Bonnie: "Like you, Tina had abandoned me since birth. I grew up in an orphanage. I spent many years digging up news on her, to find out why both my parents were so cruel."

Bonnie: "I found out she gave birth to me in secret and had to send me to an orphanage to protect herself. Unfortunately her parents found out. They tied her to a tree and brutally killed her."

Herb: "No!"

Bonnie: "The Badeaus are infamous for wicked crimes and reputation. They're not above doing this."

Herb: "When was this?"
Bonnie: "I don't remember. It was a long time ago. From what I recalled, her parents found a note about eloping. They interrogated her and she allegedly admitted everything, even the pregnancy."

Herb: "That was me. I can't believe I was the cause. I killed Tina. If I didn't write that note, they would never have known. All this while, I thought she didn't love me enough to run away with me. That's why she didn't show up that day."

Bonnie: "Her parents later found out the orphanage I was in but thankfully enough the director stood up to them. They later decided it wasn't worth it, since Tina was already dead, you were long gone and I would have no recollection of who my parents were."

Herb: "I...I don't know what to say. How did you find out all this?"
Bonnie: "I'm a PI. But that's not important."

Herb: "I'm sorry you had to go through this."

Bonnie: "Sometimes I wish I could be like my sister. She's got a successful career ahead of her and has long put her past behind her. Meanwhile I'm still hopelessly stuck in the past."

Herb: "Don't blame yourself. I know it has been hard on you. Both of you. But now I'm here. Let me make it up to you."
Bonnie: "We're all used to living independently. Are you sure you will be able to take care of us?"

Herb: "At least let me try."

"Tonight is the time for more innocent parties to be slain by the Mole. Shirley is the only one who can breathe easy tonight. For the rest of you, it may be a different story. Let us begin with..."

"...Lisette Mack."

"Unfortunately, Lisette Mack, you have been executed. Please pack your bags and leave."
Lisette: "It can't be!"

Benjamin: "She was a talented musician. The house will be so much quieter without her and her bass."
Philo: "Phew. I'm glad that's over and done with. I'm sorry it was you, Lisette. I think as the youngest player, you did an amazing job."

Autumn: "Lisette was really sweet and nice and friendly towards me. Even though we didn't actually form a coalition because she wanted to depend on herself, we spent countless nights gossiping and having fun. She's like a sister to me."
Carol: "Lisette was also a friend to me. She showed everyone here how it's never too early to start chasing dreams and planning for your future. She has always been helpful in missions as well. I wish you could stay longer, Lisette."
Milan: "Her energy will be missed."

Lisette: "Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I really loved this place and this cast. It has been a rollercoaster ride for me from start to finish. Literally, the first mission gave me the biggest scare of my life the moment I got on that plane. It did jolt me into thinking about some stuff and perhaps I have some unfinished business I should take care of back home. Last time I wanted to depend on my own merits to win but Lloyd was so naggy and kept feeding me info. I'm thankful, but I'm also thankful this season everyone here respected my wishes and let me try to figure it out myself. I at least now know where I stand and I'm proud that I made it here all by myself. I wish you all the best."
Carol: "Aww, you're making me tear up."

"Lisette has been executed, but the ceremony isn't over yet. It's a triple execution tonight."
Lisette: "What? I did not see that coming."
Philo: "Oh boy."

"Philo Nickelworth."
Philo: "Fingers crossed it isn't me."

Philo: "Amitabha."

Milan: "All of you are behaving like codardi. I wish to go next."
"Very well."

Milan: "Rosso?"

Milan: "So be it."
"Milan Lombardy, unfortunately you have been executed. Please pack your bags and leave."

Lisette: "Wait, she's just leaving like that?"
Carol: "She didn't even give me a chance to say a few words about her."
Bonnie: "I respect her."

"Let us move on. Autumn Fall."

Autumn: "I'm beginning to consider making green my new favourite colour."

"Damien Stewart."
Damien: "I don't want to join Ma. Not yet."

Damien: "Yes! I'm safe. I was worried because I had a feeling the Mole views me as a threat."
Benjamin: "Good for you. I hope the Mole doesn't see me as a threat."

"Carol Losantos."
Lisette: "Good luck Carol."
Carol: "Thank you..."

Lisette: "You're safe! Congratulations."
Carol: "Thank you. It's a big relief. I'm still sad you're gone though."
Lisette: "Well, whatever. We just gotta keep on moving."

"There are only three contestants whose fates remain unknown but only two more spots in the final seven. Benjamin BRenner, Herb DeValentino and Bonnie DeValentino, one of you will be tonight's last victim."

"Bonnie DeValentino."

Bonnie: "Hmph."
Damien: "That means it's either Ben or Herb."
Benjamin: "If it's down to me or him, I think I'm feeling quite confident. Unless he's the Mole."
Herb: "Regardless, it has been a pleasure to be here. Bonnie is still in. That's all that matters. I don't expect to make it very far."

"Benjamin Brenner."
Benjamin: "I will make it into the final seven!"

Benjamin: "What the hell?"
"Unfortunately, Benjamin Brenner, you have been executed. Please pack your bags and leave."

Shirley: "Good. He should have been executed a long time ago."
Lisette: "Did you just say that? I would never have expected that from you, especially not when it's your good friend Ben. Why the sudden 180?"

Philo: "Ben was ambitious, like me."
Damien: "More like me."
Philo: "It's rude to interrupt. As I was saying, Ben was a man with ambition. You could see from the fire in his eyes that he was determined to get into the finale. Alas, the slippery Mole has eluded him again."
Damien: "Done? Good. I do think it's a shame that Ben is gone. I thought highly of him. But I guess he didn't learn his lesson from his last season so now he pays the price. This is the reality of reality TV."

Lisette: "Ben really wasn't who I thought would be leaving. I thought it was Herb. No offence, but I really didn't think you were going to last very long."
Carol: "Ben was very high energy. Sometimes it's hard keeping up with him. He also know exactly what he wants and will do everything in his power to ensure it. Him leaving is really a pity."

Benjamin: "I thought I was on the right suspect, because she's still here. I guess I may have been wrong. Damn it, this is the second time this has happened. If only I was more rational enough. If not for Shirley I may have been gone a long time ago."

Benjamin: "There are some regrets I have. I wish I could undo time, but the damage has been done. It was a moment of hormones. I should have controlled myself better."

Shirley: "I don't care about what regrets you have. It takes more than that to break me down. I'm sorry to have disappointed you. Just go."

Lisette: "I think it's time for us to go, Ben."
Benjamin: "I really hate to leave. There's just one last thing I want to say. Shirley...win this. Let's go, Lisette."

"Thank you for joining the Smole. We hope to see you again one day."

Philo: "With only seven of us left, there's a lot more room. This means a lot of room reshuffling. At least I can now claim the best bed they have in this house. My back has been aching for days because of cheap beds. I'm so proud of myself that I still have it within me. I really think I have a shot at winning. Then the world can never forget me."

Bonnie: "Zzz..."

Herb: "I sleep alone at night again."

Philo: "Tacky bed, but it's the best they have. Goodnight, Carol. Goodnight, Damien."
Damien: "Shut the hell up and sleep."
Philo: "Bless you."

It was a shock for everyone when three were executed in one sitting. With the number significantly reduced, which one of the seven could be the Mole?
