23.03-I'm not an elephant

Previously on the Smole, the eight contestants returned to the Smole for a second chance at changing things. They played the first mission again, whereby Xavier and Judith played the roles of delivering furniture while the rest arranged it according to a memorised blueprint. 0/200 points were earned but for that, Xavier earned himself an exemption. Theresa became the first boot instead of Ronald this time, leaving him devastated. Who will be next?

Ingrid: “I was quite shocked when producers announced after the afterparty last season that we would all be playing for another season. I wasn’t prepared for this but it’s not like I’ve got anything to fear. I found the Mole last time. I can do it again. I’d love to start penning down my adventures on the Smole soon though. If only I brought my laptop.”

Judith: “Xavier is not a simple man as I previously thought. We all thought he was obsessed with working and earning money, but the first mission proved to us otherwise. Anyone could be the Mole.”

Judith: “I feel so sore. I shouldn’t have volunteered to deliver the furniture yesterday. I had to face Blair’s scolding. It’s just not worth it.”

Ruby: “Ingrid, since we’re sharing the same room again, I think we should form a coalition like last season. Both of us could make it to the finale again!”

Ingrid: “That sounds nice and all, but I’m not keen on a coalition with you again.”
Ruby: “Why?”
Ingrid: “Last season you were kind of floating. Without me you would have been completely lost. I think you should do things for yourself, Ruby, and not rely on others to feed you with information.”
Ruby: “I see. I understand and respect your decision then, Ingrid.”

Xavier: “Alright. Time to read my journal.”
Ronald: “Come down for breakfast, guys! I made some waffles!”

Ruby: “Mmm, this really is delicious. Come join us, Ronald.”
Ronald: “I need to clean up the kitchen first before I join. Occupational thing.”

Contestants are headed to an empty field. One of them will be the eagle while another will be the mother hen. The mother hen must prevent the eagle from poaching all her little chicks (by tapping them). The eagle is only allowed to tap the chicks one by one from the back of the line. After one hour, for every chick and hen still standing, 20 points are earned. If all the chicks survive, the mother hen earns a hidden exemption. If all the chicks have been poached, the eagle earns a hidden exemption. This is worth 120 points.

Ronald: “I’ve never done this mission before.”
Xavier: “It’s really simple. We stand in a line, with the homos behind.”

Judith: “What was that?”

Xavier: “Oh, nothing.”

They have decided to let Blair be the eagle once again, while Ronald becomes the mother hen.
Ulysses: “You can do this Ronald! You’re the only one who can physically match him!”

“Begin!”
Blair: “Ow you slapped me!”
Ronald: “You deserve it.”
Blair: “You’ll get it from me.”

Xavier: “Quick! Run!”

Ruby: “I forgot this was the next mission. Should have worn better shoes. At least these are easier to run in though.”

Blair: “I’m not an elephant. Running zig-zag doesn’t hinder me. It just makes your team more tired.”

Ruby: “I’ve got my eye on Blair. Can’t let him catch me like he did last time.”
Blair: “Man, he’s good.”

Ronald: “Am I running too fast? They’re lagging behind.”
Ingrid: “Don’t care; just run!”

Blair: “Yes! At last!”

Blair: “Darn! I should stop being so lazy and run instead of just stretching my damn hand.”
Ruby: “It’s okay Blair. Just keep trying!”

Judith: “’Just keep trying’? Why was Ruby encouraging Blair to take points away from the pot? This is suspicious. Her goody-two-shoesness is probably just an act.”

“And time’s up! Surprisingly, nobody was caught, so all 120 points have been earned, giving the pot 120/320 points! What a fluctuation. Also, Ronald earns a hidden exemption for being such a wonderful mother hen.”

Ruby: “Phew! I was sweating a lot! Glad we earned something.”

Ronald: “Wow! I’m good!”

Blair: “Why do those exemptions always leave me? So near, yet so far…”
