36.15-Old man's smell

Last time, the contestants were divided into two teams yet again and played a game of tag, except that one member in each team was actually working for the opponent. While Sylvester exposed himself, Bryan was not identified and thus earned an exemption. Bryan and Paris beat the other team, fetching  a net 40/60 points to make the pot 325/730 points. Colt tried to defuse tensions in the house but failed and he's no longer able to try again now that he's been executed. Who will follow after him? Who is the Mole?

Bryan: "Oh, you're migrating here? Aren't you afraid of old man's smell?"
Ainsley: "I need a double bed to myself. It's been too long."

Stephanie: "Her books are just so amazing."

Stephanie: "I actually have this crazy idea. This whole journey, to me, has been about trying new things and coming out of my comfort zone."

Stephanie: "I've shared a bed with a stranger, sat on an electric chair and run hundreds of kilometres. What's writing a book compared to what I've done? I'll do it."

Bryan: "I'm going to have to revise very diligently. I'm still not sure how to process Song's execution but I hope her departure won't be in vain."

Paris: "Zis is so difficult. If only I bought less Gucci bags, then I would have more money for my trip. But it is too late. Je vais perseverer."

Ainsley: "You've made it far by yourself, without any exemption."

Ainsley: "I dare say you're on the right track."

"Good morning, contestants. Today, you will be going to work. I need one boss and four employees."

Sylvester: "I volunteer to be the boss."
Bryan: "I'm not sure about that."

Stephanie: "It is so hard not to let personal biasness come into play. But awareness is the first step."

Sylvester: "Hmm, if not me, then who?"
Ainsley: "Me. Remember the last time you were in charge of telling time? You failed horribly. Wasted all our efforts."
Sylvester: "You don't have to remind me."
Ainsley: "I do."

Sylvester: "But I'm not comfortable letting you take charge. He's selfish and he'll be a domineering boss who's paranoid and will micromanage every one of us."
Bryan: "Stephanie. You're the smart one. What do you propose?"

Stephanie: "Um, I think all your points are valid and that we are merely speculating because we do not know what's in store for any of us. Maybe the boss isn't the most desirable role."

Stephanie: "But I am okay with letting someone else like Ainsley be in charge for a change."
Ainsley: "No, no. Now that you said it like that I'm not taking the role. But whoever is must be held accountable for all our actions and his own."
Stephanie: "Then Sylvester is fine?"
Ainsley: "I guess. But don't screw up."
Bryan: "I'm in favour after your analysis. Paris, you've been very quiet. What are your thoughts."
Paris: "I zink Stephanie has the intellect but not the charm. I can give Sylvester one more chance."

Sylvester: "Thank you everyone. I won't let you down."

Paris: "I dunno why we gave ze role to ze man who does ze opposite of what he is supposed to in daily life. But I was alone in zat tot."

Ainsley: "What do you think the mission will be about?"
Stephanie: "Um...beats me."
Ainsley: "This will be a long ride. You're a tough nut to crack, you know that? Socialise more."

Sylvester: "Woo! I can't wait to know what it feels like to be boss."

Bryan: "I'll let you take the wheel this time."
Paris: "Such chivalry."

Paris: "We're all in. Press ze button."

Paris: "Needs more colour."
Stephanie: "Um, which cubicle do you want to take?"

Sylvester: "Wow. An ocean view."

Sylvester: "Not that shabbily decorated too."

Sylvester: "This is the life I want. I feel superior already."

The other four have chosen their desks. Bryan will be Worker A.

Ainsley is Worker B.

Stephanie is Worker C.

Paris is Worker D.

Ainsley: "It's an office. And in an office, there's office politics. Fortunately experience has taught me how to manouevre in such situations."

Bryan: "We weren't told what to do. But there was a computer in front of us, so logic says that we turned them on. I think we just had to explore and stumble upon clues to earn points."

Paris: "I zink ze files on ze shelf will be of use."

Paris: "Hmm..."

Ainsley: "There's nothing of importance on my computer."
Stephanie: "I have a lot of work to do, it seems..."

Bryan: "I have an Excel spreadsheet here. All the missions we've done, their total worth and the points we earned for each mission. Maybe I'm a finance clerk. I wonder if everyone else has access to these files too."

Sylvester: "What is in this folder?"

Sylvester: "There's an application in here. If I click 'start', I can take 1 point from the pot every minute. Every 10 points would then be automatically converted to corrections but I cannot be pinned down as the culprit or I will be fired and lose my corrections. But I'm the boss! How do I get fired?"
"We're the upper management."
Sylvester: "Right. Of course."

Bryan: "Oh. There's a financial report. Wait...it's saying something about visiting a certain file for more information."

Stephanie: "Surely I cannot be expected to do all this work. Maybe I have to write a report but there is too much information here. And I haven't even begun to open the filing cabinets."

Paris: "Zis is taking too long. I need help."

Paris: "Stephanie. Can you help me?"

Stephanie: "Um, sure..."

"Paris is fired."
Paris: "What? What did I do?"

Paris: "Was it wrong for me to ask of help?"

Stephanie: "I think that we can get 'fired' if we ask for the help of others. That means I have to do this myself. Sigh..."

Bryan: "There are currently 325 points in the pot. That's correct. And what does this button do? Oh, it projects the points onto the TV."

Ainsley: "Stephanie, what are you supposed to do?"
Stephanie: "I am not sure. I am just consolidating information as of now."
Ainsley: "Okay. I'm just going to explore the office."

Ainsley: "These cabinets aren't locked. They contain unused files."

Ainsley: "What are those numbers?"

Ainsley: "325...aren't those the amount of points we have? Something tells me that number will change..."

Ainsley: "The break room is outside."

Ainsley: "Maybe if I shake the machine, I can get a clue or something."

Ainsley: "It won't budge."

Ainsley: "F***."

Ainsley: "We weren't given any money to buy snacks."

Ainsley: "The mini fridge is not stocked. But the coffee machine is operational. This must be a lead."

Stephanie: "No....Black Screen of Death..."

Stephanie: "I'll turn it off and come back. I need a break."

Stephanie: "Ainsley? Um, where did you get the coffee?"

Ainsley: "Outside. Go brew your own if you want."
Stephanie: "Maybe I should. I need a break...or at least something to perk me up and keep me going."

Ainsley: "Why?"
Stephanie: "I have a lot of stuff on my desk. It appears I have a lot of work to do."

Ainsley: "Sucks to be you. Sounds like you're the worker who gets all shit thrown to you."
Stephanie: "Mm-hmm..."

Ainsley: "I'm going to brew another cup."
Stephanie: "Oh...that's fine...I'll get back to my work too..."

Stephanie: "It's back again."

Bryan: "I can't sit at a desk all day. I need to move about. Watching a number is killing my brain cells."

Bryan: "Stephanie, what are you doing?"
Stephanie: "Writing a report. I presume that's what I have to do."
Bryan: "Need any help?"
Stephanie: "No...it's okay...did you see what happened when Paris came over to my desk? I don't think we can go to each other's desks."
Bryan: "Astute."

Sylvester: "I wonder what they're up to."

Sylvester: "The cubicles are empty?"

Sylvester: "Oh, you're here. Where's Paris?"
Stephanie: "Fired, Boss."

Sylvester: "What did you call me?"
Stephanie: "...Boss?"

Sylvester: "Good. I like that. What about Ainsley?"
Stephanie: "He left the office."

Sylvester: "Skiving already, I see? What are you doing?"
Stephanie: "I presume I have to write a report..."

Sylvester: "You reminded me. I have a report that I need you to write. I'll send it to you."
Stephanie: "But..."
Sylvester: "But what?"

Bryan: "She's busy with her report, Sylvester."
Sylvester: "That's Boss to you."
Bryan: "Whatever, Boss."

Sylvester: "I'll deal with you later. You can send your work to Ainsley or Bryan. Now help me type my report. This is an order. The templates are even on your table."

Sylvester: "Unless you want to get fired."

Stephanie: "You can fire me?"

Sylvester: "Am I not the boss?"

Stephanie: "...Yes Boss."

Stephanie: "I wonder why nothing happened to Sylvester when he stopped at my desk. Maybe my theory is wrong. Or is it because he's the boss?

Bryan: "Don't send it to me. I'm busy."
Sylvester: "And with what, exactly?"

Bryan: "Monitoring finances. Here, I'll show you...hey, why did the points drop to 321? Do you know anything about this?"

Sylvester: "Erm..."

Sylvester: "Come to my office."

Bryan: "Do you have something to do with this?"

Sylvester: "Erm...well...I don't know if I should say it, since I'm the boss after all."

Bryan: "You're embezzling our points."

Stephanie: "I hope I don't get caught...oh my, what? I heard something about a pot. If only I can get closer..."

"Attention. Bryan, you have stumbled upon Sylvester's secret. There is now a deal you can make. Bryan, you may suggest to Sylvester that you would keep mum about this and find out who has the exemption. If you are correct, you get Sylvester's corrections and Sylvester gets the exemption instead."

Bryan: "That sounds like a mighty good deal to me."

Bryan: "You heard the upper management. Are you agreeable? You stand to gain more than I do. And I know you don't want to destroy the faith everyone has in you. They put you in this chair for a reason."

Bryan: "What do you say? I help you find out who has the exemption and in exchange you give me your corrections."
Sylvester: "It's a deal. But you better get this right."

Stephanie: "I was thinking of telling Ainsley about the news I heard but I remembered he has a recording device with him. I have nothing to hide but I don't want to be the one to be singled out for ratting the boss out."

*
*
*

Ainsley: "Stephanie. Do you want coffee? I promise there's no strings attached. I'm only helping because you are very overworked."

Stephanie: "Yes please. Thank you...wait! Don't come near my cubicle. Just leave it on the floor."

Ainsley: "Are you sure?"
Stephanie: "Yes. I'll come and get it later."
Ainsley: "Alrighty then. If you're sure."

Ainsley: "Oh, I have a new email from you. What's this?"
Stephanie: "Um, consolidated information from my desk...Sylvester wants you to do this for me while I do his work."
Ainsley: "This is preposterous. I'm going to find him. Can you send an email detailing what happened? Just so that I can have phyiscal confirmation."
Stephanie: "Okay..."

Ainsley: "Sylvester, what the f*** is wrong with you?"

Sylvester: "You mean what the f*** is wrong with you? You're the one barging into my office."

Ainsley: "Do you really think you're the boss? Even if you are, you can't be pushing your responsibilities and your work to someone else, and then get her to push it to me!"

Sylvester: "Now there. I never asked her to do all that."
Ainsley: "Don't try to weasel your way out of this. She's forwarded the email from you telling her to write a report."

Sylvester: "Darn. I shouldn't have sent that email."

Sylvester: "Okay, but I didn't point a gun to her head and force her to push her work to you."
Ainsley: "What else is she to do? The poor girl is overworked as it is."
Sylvester: "Then maybe you can help her type the report."

Ainsley: "It's not my job. Why should I be doing it?"

Sylvester: "Since you're not willing to help, then don't go around pointing fingers at anyone else, especially your superior. I can fire you in an instant."

Ainsley: "I won't want to work under an airhead like you anyway, who's let all the power go to his head. To make things fair, I think you should do her work if you want her to do your work."

Sylvester: "Get out of my office before I really fire you."
Ainsley: "Don't forget. You're not really my boss. We're doing a mission. If you fire me, who's going to do my job? You'll be responsible for hindering me from earning points. You were the one who wanted this role. Then do your job."

Ainsley: "Being a boss isn't all fun. You don't just tell others what to do while you sit back and relax. The boss should work doubly hard. The task was given to you for a reason."

Sylvester: "Ugh, fine. Tell Stephanie she can go back to doing her own work while I do mine."
Ainsley: "No. You do that yourself."
Sylvester: "I'll shoot her an email."

Stephanie: "Thank you for the coffee..."

*
*
*

Bryan: "Does Stephanie have the exemption? I can't tell from this distance."

Bryan: "Or does Ainsley have it?"

Bryan: "Sylvester, you're the only one able to walk around freely, right? Can you help find out who has the exemption?"
Sylvester: "It's your job, isn't it? Don't forget that you probably have more of an interest than I do. You want the corrections."
Bryan: "Fine. I'll see what I can do."

Bryan: "Stephanie, can you come over for a moment?"

Bryan: "I want you to be honest with me because that's what my task requires."

Bryan: "Do you have an exemption in store for you?"

Stephanie: "Exemption? I'm afraid I know nothing about that. Now if you'd excuse me, I really need to get back to work..."

Bryan: "I'll help you finish it. Just send the stuff over to me. In exchange, I just want you to tell me the truth."
Stephanie: "Okay..."

Stephanie: "...But how do I know you won't change your mind after I tell you?"
Bryan: "...You're smart. Alright. You tell me after I've done my part of the deal."

Ainsley: "The number's gone down. I bet Sylvester has something to do with it."

Bryan: "Wait! Ainsley, stop!"

Ainsley: "What is it? Why are you blocking my way?"

Ainsley: "Can you move aside? I need to talk to Sylvester."

Bryan: "It's about the TV, right? It's broken."
Ainsley: "It sure as hell is. I'm not a three-year-old. Move aside."

Sylvester: "I retrieved the template from Stephanie's table so it makes things so much easier."

Bryan: "Looks like I can't stop him, so I'll temporarily edit the spreadsheet. There's a warning that says it won't affect the actual amount but only what is displayed. In the meantime I need to help Stephanie out too."

Sylvester: "What is it this time? I'm busy."
Ainsley: "We're losing points. Do you know anything about this?"

Sylester: "Erm, no."
Ainsley: "Bryan tried to stop me. I think he's up to something."

Ainsley: "Come with me. I'll show you the points are amiss."

Ainsley: "What the hell?"

Ainsley: "I could've sworn..."
Sylvester: "Stop wasting my time, Ainsley. It's still at 325."
Ainsley: "But I was sure...ugh, sorry."

*
*
*

Ainsley: "The evidence points against me. There was no way I could have convinced him. I'm sure Bryan is doing something with it."

Sylvester: "I really wonder what the rest have to do to earn points. Since Paris is not here I have to help her complete her task. I'm just going to play around here..."

Sylvester: "Oh, I turned on the blacklight. I'm going to go back to my office to see if my lamp has the same functionality. Wait, there's something on this paper. 'There is an exemption up for grabs'. It's a good thing Paris left before she saw this note. I don't want another one fighting for the exemption."

Stephanie: "I'm freed now."

Stephanie: "I'll look through the files to find some clues."

*
*
*

Sylvester: "The report is done."

Sylvester: "Maybe I should stop the application for a moment."

Stephanie: "There's some more information which may be relevant to you, Bryan. I'll leave it on this desk here..."
"Stephanie is fired."

Stephanie: "It appears as if I cannot be near their cubicles at all."

Stephanie: "I should have been more careful."

Ainsley: "I still don't know what I have to do."

Bryan: "At last."

Bryan: "Oh. I've gotten an email from upper management. Let's see what it says...what? I need to tell Sylvester ASAP."

Bryan: "I think I know who has the exemption."

Bryan: "I got an email that was 'accidentally' sent to me by the upper management. It was supposed to be addressed to Stephanie and talked about rewarding her handomsely. It also contained a list of instructions. To think she's getting credit for work I did."

Sylvester: "I'll see if it's true."
Bryan: "Stephanie's been fired. You can try and check her computer."

Bryan: "Oh I nearly closed the Excel sheet by accident. Luckily they prompted me with a confirmation message...wait, I can't save it. It's read-only. Then whatever. I'll just go ahead and close it."

Sylvester: "This website requires a login ID. I don't know what it is."

Sylvester: "Hmm...I wonder if I can try to hack into it..."

Sylvester: "I'll give it one random try. Nope, wrong."

Ainsley: "I'm going to monitor the pot very closely."

Sylvester: "Yes! I've got in. My hacking skills have finally been put to good use. But surely there has to be another way of getting in...her email. Of course. The login ID must have been sent to her. I'm an idiot."

Sylvester: "It does look like she's gotten an exemption. Bryan was right."

Ainsley: "It's definitely not a glitch. I didn't see wrongly. The pot is decreasing. Guys! I want to hold a meeting now!"

Ainsley: "Bryan, you're taking the points away from the pot, am I right?"
Bryan: "Don't be silly. Why would I want to do that?"

Ainsley: "Then what are you doing behind that computer?"
Bryan: "I was helping Stephanie with her work."

Ainsley: "Then you're telling me Sylvester is the one taking way our points."

Sylvester: "Now don't you dare accuse me of something I didn't do. I think you have a guilty conscience. You're the one who's skiving. I was using Stephanie's terminal the whole time."
Bryan: "I agree that it's Ainsley."
Ainsley: "You don't have proof."

Sylvester: "I'll check your computer."
Ainsley: "You don't have a right to do that."

Sylvester: "And what's this? An email telling you to remove points for corrections?"

Ainsley: "What? Let me see that."

Ainsley: "I didn't see that email at all!"
Sylvester: "Likely story. It's been sent from the upper management. That's the producers. Ainsley, I am firing you for embezzling company funds."
Ainsley: "I did nothing of the sort."

"You can't actually fire him, but Sylvester, please visit the upper managemt's office. I would like to discuss this matter with you."
Sylvester: "Yes sir."

Ainsley: "Bryan Seacrest. Why did you accuse me of stealing from the pot? What do you get out of this?"
Bryan: "Good stuff."

Ainsley: "So you admit it's you! You must have sent an email and changed the sender's address."

Ainsley: "You're not getting away with this. I'm telling Sylvester. I have proof now."
"Ainsley, you are fired."
Bryan: "It looks like you won't get the chance."

Ainsley: "But I am not the one who took those points. I demand to see a lawyer."

Bryan: "He doesn't realise he was fired for coming to my cubicle. I hope I get an exemption for being the last worker."

Bryan: "My back aches from sitting all day though. Oh, it's raining. I didn't even notice."

Bryan: "The points are still going down."

Bryan: "I need to find a way to stop it."

Bryan: "So he's using an application. Time to stop it."

Bryan: "I might as well check his email. I want to know what he has to do. Oh, he has to type a report."

"Bryan is fired."

Bryan: "What? Why?"

Bryan: "All I was doing was trying to stop points from decreasing. Is that wrong?"

Bryan: "I thought I was allowed to come to the boss's desk?"

120/170 points have been earned. The application ran for 15 minutes in total, so 1 correction is earned in exchange for 15 points. The pot therefore has 430/900 points. Bryan and Sylvester's deal is valid because Bryan correctly said that Stephanie held the exemption, so Sylvester gets an exemption while Bryan gets 1 correction.

For those out of the loop:

To be fired and eliminated from the mission, employees may walk to another employee's (not the Boss's) cubicle. The Boss is exempted from this way of elimination. However, anyone can be fired if they tell someone else their exact task if they know it or if they find out about another contestant's task. The exception to this is if Worker A finds out Boss is taking points from the pot. There are other ways of elimination as stated below.

Tasks:

Boss-computer has a folder that allows them to take 1 point from the pot every minute, 1 correction worth 10 points, but must not be pinned down as the culprit or else will be eliminated and corrections lost
-if able to get a majority to pin the blame on one innocent worker, corrections are kept and boss leaves mission
-type a report to earn 30 points (template in the stack of files on C table)

Worker A-has a computer that can monitor points in pot. if find out boss is embezzling, can keep mum about it and find out who has exemption. If boss agrees to the deal and A is correct, A gets the boss corrections and boss gets exemption

Worker B-if makes coffee for C or boss, earn 40 points

Worker C-has a stack of files. If can make A/b/d look through all the files, C gets an exemption. A/b/d earns 50 points for looking through all the files. Eliminated if one file destroyed or lost
(Stephanie gave Bryan a soft copy of these files)

Worker D-his desk has a note that if put under black light from the lamp, it will reveal a note saying that there is an exemption up for grabs. If d argues with boss over anything about exemption, earn 50 points.
