59.19-Vive la revolution!

Last time on the Smole, the final 5 had to try French delicacies while avoiding the lies of their next PKer. They managed to earn 70/150 points, making the pot 385/840 points. Jordana got herself an exemption and was safe. Sheila had an exemption for the finale and managed to survive the last execution to use it. It was Sanaa who was executed despite receiving a clue. Will the final four grow into a final five again or is the Mole definitely a woman this season?

Mary: "Sienna is resilient and adaptable, quietly nudging things in the wrong direction. She could absolutely pull off being the Mole."

Sheila: "It's hard to say Mary isn't the Mole. She's the type of contestant you'd look at and wouldn't bat an eyelid at if she made it to the finale, and I think she's using that to her fullest advantage."

Jordana: "Sheila would be a very good Mole. She is diligent and doesn't stand out. These are good qualities for a Mole."

Sienna: "I can see Jordana being the Mole. She can laugh every mess-up away but she just doesn't do well no matter how hard she tries."

Jordana: "Do you think Jean-Luc will be joining us? Hehe."
Mary: "I'm expecting him to walk in this door any moment now."

Mary: "I'll get it."

Sienna: "Who is it?"
Mary: "There's an announcement waiting for us outside."

Jordana: "I don't see anything. Oh! Now it's starting hehe."
Jean-Luc: "Bonjour. It is I, Jean-Luc."

Jean-Luc: "You may have seen my face and known my identity yesterday, but did you know I was here the whole time?"

Jean-Luc: "I followed your journey right from the start. Yes, I was there in China as you played chess and carried heavy objects."

Jean-Luc: "I was hidden in plain sight, like an Indiana Jones. I knew what each and every one of you did."

Jean-Luc: "When we arrived at France, I could see that it was finally my time."

Jean-Luc: "And I thought I would do so well! You gifted me two corrections."

Jean-Luc: "But this was not enough. I could not break in."

Jean-Luc: "I am not the Mole. I will also no longer be part of this game watching you from every corner."

Jean-Luc: "So I bid you adieu and wish you all the best, especially to the Mole."

Jean-Luc: "Maybe if I had an exemption. I gave two of you an exemption. One has been used but one has not. I am not happy about this, and I believe three of you are not either. So I say vive la revolution! If you want to be in the finale, you do it the French way. You can destroy Sheila's exemption by trading everything in the pot. Yes, all 385 points. At least two of you except Sheila must agree to this trade. It's a price you must pay to win."

Jean-Luc: "But Sheila, you have a chance to fight back. You can prevent one vote from being revealed and thus make that vote invalid. A fair fight, or a high pot? You decide."

Jordana: "Hehe, that's tough."
Sheila: "We shouldn't do it."
Sienna: "Of course you'd say that."
Mary: "Our ride is waiting for us. Let's talk later."

The contestants are at the Oak House, a residence said to hide many secrets.

The contestants have 20 minutes to discuss before they individually retire to vote.

Sheila: "Our pot is already so low."
Mary: "So it doesn't matter. We're actually paying a lot less than we could have."
Jordana: "What? Are you serious?"

Sheila: "We shouldn't be throwing our points away just like that. Do you want to walk away with 0 points?"
Mary: "Are you here for the money?"

Jordana: "I agree with Sheila here. We worked hard to earn this pot. Throwing it away would be giving in to the Mole."

Jordana: "I don't want to be a winner of 0 Simoleons. That's as good as not winning!"
Mary: "Being first to be executed and winning nothing both go home with 0 Simoleons, but you would rather win than be the first to leave."

Sheila: "It sounds to me that you're not confident about winning. That's why you don't want me to have the exemption."
Jordana: "Sienna, what do you think?"
Sienna: "One one hand, it's about fairness. We all know who the Mole is at this stage. It's not fair that someone leaves because they didn't have an exemption."

Sienna: "But on the other hand, it is really a high cost."
Sheila: "Yes, you shouldn't do it. I'm glad you're all on my side."

Mary: "I remember you fighting so hard for exemptions back in Egypt. Now you're willing to hand the most important advantage to her?"
Sheila: "I earned it fair and square."
Jordana: "You did get it by luck hehe."

Sienna: "Are you confident of surviving the execution without it?"
Sheila: "Sienna! You can't be serious."

Sienna: "I'm just trying to be objective and weigh all the factors."

Mary: "We can consider it from her perspective as well as ours. From her perspective, she doesn't want to let it go obviously, because she may very well go home before the finale. And it costs 385 points. From our perspective, there is an increased risk of one of us leaving instead. It is about whether the money is worth sacrificing for fairness. I for one think it's not completely unreasonable. The pot's maximum is only 840 points which is a weird number. There will be chances for us to fill it."

Jordana: "But how many? It will only be one chance hehe. I really don't quite agree with throwing away all our past effort. We worked together for this."
Sienna: "That's a sweet sentiment, Jordana, but it's ultimately a competition."
Sheila: "Are you leaning towards Mary's side?"
Sienna: "I'm being neutral here."
Jordana: "You can't be neutral. You have to take a side."

"10 minutes left. Maybe this might help your decision: if all three of you vote unanimously, whether it is to sacrifice the exemption or keep the pot, you can earn 50 bonus points."

Sheila: "Mary, you know this is making me think of shutting you up later right?"
Mary: "I am being the devil's advocate here. It would be unwise to shut me up because I'm not the Mole. The real Mole will pretend to agree but stab us in the back later. So I want to bring it out to the open."

Jordana: "If the two of you are leaning to get rid of the exemption, maybe I should too? Hehe. Then we at least have 50 points."
Sheila: "Jordana, no!"

Jordana: "I think we should all vote unanimously. If we really don't think it's fair for Sheila to have the exemption, then so be it. I can vote that way. But if we think she should keep it, then we should all be clear on that too."

Sheila: "What can I do to convince you guys to let me keep it?"
Sienna: "I know the three of you are in a coalition. If you share it with me, I'll vote for you."

Mary: "This is confidential information. None of you are to leak out any of our discussions."
Sheila: "I'm sorry Sienna but that's a no deal."

Jordana: "All of you disgust me. An unethical doctor, a ruthless businesswoman...I can't believe all of you!"
Sienna: "This is the game, Jordana. I know you don't trust me but please keep personal emotions out of it."

Sheila: "I think you should state why you think I don't deserve to keep this exemption. After all, I managed to outsmart Jean-Luc. I work my ass off juggling this and my own personal career goals and I'm still here. I am every bit qualified to be here."

Jordana: "Woo! Hehe!"
Sheila: "You were right Jordana. If I don't believe I deserve it, nobody else will believe in me."

Mary: "Your points are exactly my counterpoints. You got lucky to pick the meal with the exemption. You were distracted and not fully focused on the game."

Sheila: "So were you! Don't forget my contributions to this coalition, Mary. I agreed to your proposals and stuck close to Sienna to observe her. I went around gathering as much info as I could and I shared that with the two of you."

Sienna: "Please calm down."

Sheila: "All you want to do is to cling onto your ex because he didn't love you any more! Boohoo! You have so much...so much hatred in you I can't even believe it!"

Mary: "But yet you were willing to help me."

Sheila: "Maybe I shouldn't have. Maybe I don't need your help. There are lines that I shouldn't cross."

Sheila: "You pushed me away from Seamus and from everyone else. You were jealous of me and want me to become an old spinster! If I end up being a nobody for the rest of my life, so be it. I can't stand how toxic this is."

Mary: "You think this is toxic?"
Sienna: "Shh! Don't make things worse."

Mary: "Sit down Sheila."
Sheila: "Why should I listen to you?"
Mary: "We're digressing. We're here to align on how to vote. Your feelings are secondary in this moment."

Mary: "Thank you. Now back to the agenda. I understand and sympathise with your concerns, Sheila. How can we make this better for you?"
Sheila: "I am not your employee."

Sheila: "The best thing you can do for me right now is to let me keep that exemption."
Jordana: "I don't like the air right now. Let's just agree to keep everything as it is, okay?"

Mary: "We don't have a lot of time. Let's do a quick check. Jordana, are you voting for Sheila or for everyone else?"
Jordana: "For Sheila of course! Look at how upset you made her!"

Mary: "Sienna?"
Sienna: "I have a lot to think about."

"Time is up. Please cease all discussions. Mary, Jordana, Sienna, please head upstairs."

Sheila: "I lost control of myself in the mission. I'm so embarrassed about it. But I couldn't stand the way Mary was acting. This was supposed to be a straightforward mission with a straightforward answer. 385 points is too high to get rid of one exemption. But she went to overcomplicate things."

Sienna, Mary, and Jordana are casting their votes.

"Sheila, you may lock one contestant in. That contestant will not be able to reveal her vote and thus it will not be counted."

Sheila: "I'm locking Mary in. I can't trust her to be acting in my interests right now."

The votes have been cast. There needs to be at least two votes in favour of destroying the exemption for it to happen. In other words, both Jordana and Sienna must vote to destroy Sheila's exemption.

In addition, if all three of them voted unanimously, 50 bonus points will be added. This will not be part of the 385 that can be lost.

Sheila: "I hope I keep that exemption..."

Sienna: "Go get your exemption."

Sheila: "Oh my goodness, thank you both so much!"

Sienna: "Yes! I'm in the finale!"

Sheila has secured her place in the finale. In addition, Mary's unrevealed vote is for Sheila to keep her exemption, so 50 bonus points are added.

The group pot is now at 435/840 points. Sheila is the first finalist: who will join her? Who will be the last one to be executed?
