The Smole: 2019

Last time, the final four played a game of Coup with the help of the fallen bodyguards. In the end, Nicholas emerged victorious with an exemption. Evelyn was the only one with no coins, and 34/50 points were added to the pot to make it 629/900 points. Who will be the last one to be executed? Who is the Mole?

Evelyn: "Are we still working together?"

Roxanne: "I thought...do you want to keep working together?"

Evelyn: "Yeah, of course. You're my ride or die here. I don't want to end the coalition if you don't want to."

Roxanne: "Good, because I feel the same way."

Roxanne: "You are one of the most confident women I ever met, Evy. You were there for me when I was going through my own problems. We are sticking together till the end. You are not to get executed, you hear me?"

Evelyn: "Yes ma'am!"

Nicholas: "Never knew you were good at science."

Steven: "I...er...was just formulating a new recipe."

Steven: "Now get out of my face. I don't want to see you and your gloating."

Nicholas: "I bet my chemistry is better than yours."

Steven: "Ha! I aced my chemistry in school. I was a chemist before I discovered my passion for baking."

Steven: "Now stop disrupting me. You smell and look like a disgusting pig."

Nicholas: "No picking fights with me today?"

Steven: "Can't you see I'm busy? Scram."

Roxanne: "Do you mind? I'm studying jere."

Nicholas: "Then I shan't watch the news. Let's have a chat instead."

Roxanne: "I don't think we have a lot to talk about."

Nicholas: "On the contrary, we have a lot in common."

Nicholas: "We're both leaders. In our own realm. But I think your leadership can be honed."

Roxanne: "And what do you get out of it?"

Nicholas: "Good. You're sharp. But this time, it's free of charge."

Nicholas: "I just think you could be so much more. I see potential. In you, I see myself."

Roxanne: "Those are some pretty words, Nicholas. But we both know what you're really sayng."

Roxanne: "So thanks but no thanks. I didn't come here to create sordid history to be dredged up in the future."

Nicholas: "Am I that loathsome to all of you?"

Roxanne: "I know a bit about you. There have been rumours circulating that you rule with an iron fist. You just want to appear like a saint to others."

Nicholas: "And what about you? Do you believe in those rumours?"

Roxanne: "I think you need to address these rumours."

Nicholas: "Then you know nothing about politics, my dear. When you're as high up the corporate ladder as I am, you're bound to attract dissidents."

Roxanne: "But why are the dissidents so quiet? I expect mudslinging for someone of your level."

Nicholas: "It takes skill. Besides, compared to my predecessor I'm virtually a god."

Roxanne: "You speak of the reigning CEO like you don't like him."

Nicholas: "He did things many didn't approve of. He wasn't suited for the role."

Roxanne: "Are you?"

Nicholas: "By leaps and bounds."

Roxanne: "I think you have a perception problem. You think you're the saviour but it's just villain after villain."

Nicholas: "Be careful with the words you use now."

Roxanne: "I'm not scared of you. I just find it weird that Evelyn has been feeling weak around the time her opinion of you changed."

Nicholas: "You think I'm responsible?"

Roxanne: "If you are, you need to stop it right now."

Nicholas: "Looks like I have to clear my name."

Evelyn: "AAH!"

Evelyn: "Must..."

Evelyn: "...get..."

Evelyn: "...up!"

Steven: "What are you still doing on the treadmill? Aren't you weak?"

Evelyn: "I am not weak! I must rebuild...my strength..."

Evelyn: "AAH!"

Steven: "You are as stubborn as a mule."

Steven: "If you don't stop, you're going to work yourself to death."

Evelyn: "I want my...last breath...doing something meaningful."

Steven: "Why are you so obstinate? Aren't you worried for your own health?"

Evelyn: "Steven..."

Evelyn: "...I think I have muscular dystrophy. My muscles are gradually weakening."

Evelyn: "Did you know? Saving lives has been my dream. I've been doing it as a doctor, and I've been training to do it as a firefighter. So when I discovered I have this problem, I couldn't accept it at first."

Evelyn: "But...but I realised, living in denial won't change the fact. So why not put things into perspective? I want to do things I love to do while I still can."

Steven: "You're still going to be a firewoman? Are you mad?"

Evelyn: "I want to prove to everyone that women can do whatever men could. Everyone trying to pull me down are just jealous, especially the men who are intimidated by me. I want the whole world to know me as the firefighter. I'll die fighting fires and saving lives than in a hospital bed watching my life waste away."

Steven: "But...I...argh! You're stupid, Evelyn. So stupid! Have you ever wondered that you wouldn't have ended up this way if you never started exercising?"

Evelyn: "That doesn't make sense. Muscular dystrophy is genetic. And there's no cure. It's not like stopping exercise is going to make the disease go away."

Evelyn: "I know you're concerned. But quality of life is important to me. I'm a doctor. I know what to do."

"Evelyn, as the sole bodyguard remaining, you have full control over who receives the final quiz penalty. At this stage, one penalty can make all the difference."

"However, you can choose to trade this privilege for a clue. A clue, at this stage of the game, can also make all the difference between winning and losing. What is your choice?"

Evelyn: "One helps me directly, the other sabotages another player. If I were to penalise, it would have to be Steven or Roxy. And if Roxy scores the lowest, or is the slowest, I have a high chance of being executed. But sabotaging others just doesn't feel right to me. I was thinking the whole day about whether to abstain or not. This clue comes at the right time."

Without you, I would have lapsed into my old ways. You were my guiding light. Evy, you saved me. You're an amazing, awe-inspiring woman and I hope you get to kick butt wherever you go."

Evelyn: "Damn, Roxy. You're making me tear up. I will really miss you. You were my closest friend here. You better win, Roxy. Or be the best Mole I ever saw. Although it sucks, on the flipside I made it this far and crushed so many others. I'm pretty darn proud of that. Don't worry Roxy. While you kick ass here, I'll be kicking ass elsewhere. Go for it, Roxy. You know who it is."

Steven: "Evelyn surprised me. At first, it was because she was so unladylike. But I had a conversation with her about her condition, and I was honestly touched. She's a big idiot and ridiculously stubborn, but she knows what she wants to do with her life and is willing to go down with it."

Nicholas: "Evelyn is a feisty one. She was tenacious and so hopelessly oblivious to upper society. But it was refreshing. I believe she went down with a fight, and will be in memoriam."
