18.22-Unexpected

And it’s time for the finale! Let’s welcome back our other contestants!

“First off, 13th to finish, Nathan Daniel!”
Nathan: “I’m back and I’ll beat you all…some way!”

“After him is Cole Wayne!”
Cole: “Whoopee I’m back. Time to chillax.”

“In 12th place is Hillary Joe!”
Hillary: “I still feel it’s some kind of conspiracy theory…”

***

Irrelevant but too good to pass up.

“After her is Nathaniel Joshue!”
Nathaniel: “Yo.”

“Following after is Melody Thyme!”
Melody: “You can control your emotions Melody…don’t rip the Mole into shreds later…or suffer any kind of breakdown…”

“In 9th place is Fern Shone Hu!”
Fern: “I’m…I’m on camera…again? That..that means I’ll be scrutinised once more. Sigh.”

“The first victim of the double execution, Craig Gulf!”
Craig: “This is just unfair. But I managed to get some publicity work done during my absence from the game.”

“Along with him is Vivian Belle!”
Vivian: “Aloha you all! Vivi is back!”

“6th placer Bryan King is next to join!”
Bryan: “Well hello there everyone.”

“In 5th place is Veronica Taylor!”
Veronica: “Dark…I like it…except for the blasted white chairs and amps.”

“Last but definitely not least, missing out on the final three narrowly is Natalie Andies!”
Natalie: “Hmph! I should have been in the final 3! I played a better game!”

“I know you’re all excited to start, but as always, we must observe the sabotages of all our finalists!

“Let’s start with Roy Dylan Osthmus:
In Mission
  1. No sabotage. He is the last to complete the mission, however.
  2. He accepted being sacrifice, but there ended up being a draw and no points earned.
  3. Roy was eliminated rather early.
  4. No sabotage. He didn’t even get the chance to.
  5. He guessed the wrong culprit.
  6. Roy voted for the majority the first time, lynching innocent Vivian.
  7. Roy did minimal to help in the mission.
  8. Roy did not finish two tasks. Roy even forced Colette to give up prematurely.
  9. No sabotage.
  10. Roy kept dampening the mood to get everyone to give up.
  11. Roy failed to survive interrogation, much to the surprise of the other two.

Ernest Lee:
In Mission
  1. No sabotage
  2. He volunteered to sit out, and thus did not sabotage.
  3. Ernest cornered himself such that he would have to lose.
  4. He was the first out of the room, along with Veronica and Melody, thus forfeiting points.
  5. He gave a sloppy account of the murder, sabotaging discreetly by still giving the correct murderer.
  6. No sabotage. In fact he was killed twice.
  7. Ernest messed up the game when he threw everyone into panic by moving to the empty chair near to him. He also talked, forfeiting points. But he wasn’t the only one.
  8. No sabotage.
  9. He sat within 11 seconds, one second too late. He also stalled for time (4 hours) by refusing to budge and fought with Veronica for the starting point.
  10. No sabotage.
  11. He failed to survive interrogation and suffered a breakdown.

Colette Steel:
In Mission
  1. She forfeited
  2. Her points were greatly wasted when she faced someone with absolutely no points. A bad strategy cost the game and the points.
  3. She made wrong moves and found herself eliminated.
  4. No sabotage.
  5. No sabotage.
  6. She was on the right track by choosing Veronica, but she gave in to Natalie at the last second and chose Bryan for the last time, causing him to be lynched and the game to be over.
  7. She did minimal to help.
  8. She only did 1 task, though it was due to Roy.
  9. No sabotage.
  10. No sabotage.
  11. She failed to survive interrogation.

And that’s the sabotage!”

“The contestants are waiting for the big revelation. There is just one question that remains though: Who is the Mole?”

Cole: “I’ll just go with whatever everyone else thinks.”
Hillary: “The whole world is the Mole!”
Fern: “Erm…let’s see…Colette is quite smart…”
Craig: “I just know that Ernest Lee is up to no good!”

“The runner-up is…”

Natalie: “Oh…it’s you.”
Fern: “Oh…that’s unexpected.”

“Colette Steel!”

Natalie: “Hmph. You still lost in the end. I thought you were smart.”
Colette: “Somewhere our strategy went wrong.”
Natalie: “Our? It’s my strategy. All mine, you hear? You had no part to play, puppet!”
Colette: “I..I…I…I can’t believe they were right! I trusted you!”

“One of the two guys is the winner; the other is the Mole. Who is who? Only time will tell. The time is now.”

“Who is the winner?”
Fern: “Erm…oh…oh I don’t know! I feel so stressed and claustrophobic!”
Vivian: “I want to think Ernest because he was once my coalition partner and friend!”
Craig: “Eh, I still think Ernest is the Mole, so it must be Roy that wins!”
Bryan: “I don’t like either prospect...but Roy is more likely to be a Mole.”
Hillary: “Same here. It must be a conspiracy! How can they win?”

“The winner of the Smole, Season 18 is…

Roy Dylan Osthmus!”

Fern: “Surprising!”

Roy: “I don’t know what to think, whether to be happy or sad. Maybe it’s because I felt that I would never win so I was given the chance to win since I ate humble pie. Or maybe because I saw through the world early and thus picked Ernest early on and continued to do so. Maybe my win was just pure luck. I don’t deserve to win. The world is messed up.”
“Congratulations! You earned 450/1500, or 450,000 Simoleons!”

“And this means the Mole is Ernest Lee!”
Ernest: “Hey guys! Surprised?”
Nathan: “I don’t know what to expect anymore.”

Ernest: “Well, it’s been one heck of a journey! First off, I would like to make a sincere, earnest apology to everyone I fooled.  It’s been fun at first, then stressful. But I’m glad it’s all over! So, whew!”
“You’ve been a successful Mole this season, earning 1050/1500, or 1,050,000 Simoleons! Good job!”

“Here are the clues:

  • Episode 1-The passage they had to type said ‘Ernest Lee-Smole’.

Everybody should have an equal chance of playing. The
remainder who don’t do not exist. The first is the best.
Next few are runner-ups, but they never match the top.
Even if you are at the bottom, you still deserve every
single opportunity that the top few get. You can do it.
They did it, so why can’t you? However, you must still
love the opportunity that you get, as they don’t come
easy. Make use of every opportunity to shine. Really.
Every single one of them counts. Over here at the
Smole, this mentality will bring you far.

  • Episode 2-there was a deliberate slip in the introduction, saying that the Mole was a he, especially when the Mole was referred to he/she previously.

The Mole got blood on his hands.
  • Episode 4-There was a subtle reference to the Mole, saying he/she was smug. The only smug one was Ernest.

The Mole must be smug that he/she’s earning free cash.
  • Episode 7-the orange chair is the exemption chair because Ernest wears orange.

“The orange chair is the lucky chair! And the lucky one sitting on this chair is…”
  • Episode 11-Each of the rooms has something hung on the wall. In one room are a pair of long knives. They refer to the ‘Night of Long Knives’, where SA leader Ernst Roehm was killed by Hitler. Ernst and Ernest sound similar. In another room is a samurai sword, which refers to Asia and Ernest’s Asian last name (Lee). The last room had a poster which was about a cult. Hitler tried to create a cult by banning Orthodox Churches and forming ones that celebrated Aryanism. This is a clue to the clue on the knives.

And these are just a few of the clues!”

“And that’s it! Thanks for joining us on the Smole, Season 18! It’s been a long ride, so goodnight!”

Bryan: “Roy won? That’s quite unexpected.”
Vivian: “Ernest…I trusted you.”
Craig: “I told you all he was bad! But nooo, everyone chose to ignore me!”
Bryan: “You can only blame yourself for being such a loudmouth and letting him catch on so he can exterminate you. Look at Roy! He kept his mouth shut.”

Fern: “…I feel so lost.”

Veronica: “Why is there no bass or space? Ergh.”

***

Ernest: “As a form of apology, everyone….feast!”

Natalie: “We caught on to you.”
Veronica: “Why did you not let me advance?”
Ernest: “I felt that you were scary. Between Tammy and Colette, I would prefer executing Tammy since she’s smarter and Colette is more naïve.”
Colette: “I’m hoping it’s just the game. Can we all be friends after this?”
Ernest: “Sure!”
Natalie: “Uh…”

Craig: “You can’t win.”
Roy: “Well suck it. You lost. Life is that unfair.”

Vivian: “Um…I’m not sure that’s for you, lady.”
Craig: “I gave it to her. She’s my extra for my newest film.”
Vivian: “Do I have a chance to join?”
Craig: “Well, come to my office tomorrow and we’ll decide.”

And that’s the end! Thanks for reading!
