48.07-Why is there blood on the table?

Previously on the Smole, the contestants had to solve a Sudoku puzzle in 30 minutes. They were unsuccessful and earned no points, although Emily did walk away with an exemption. She was saved but Noah was not and became the next one to be executed. Will Noel be next or will Noel never be next?

***

Noel: "There's no use crying over spilled milk, is there? Noah scored the lowest and he had to pay for it. He was always unsure of himself. We analysed Mabel's execution and decided that she went home because she was too indecisive too but apparently Noah didn't heed my advice and now he paid the price."

***

Emily: "I thought it was Noah. I always have. Hence his execution came as a shock to me. I am so thankful I had the exemption, otherwise it could have been me. Not that it would matter greatly whether I won or lost but since I'm here, I might as well do my best."

***

Joyce: "Good morning Emily."

Joyce: "How rude."

Emily: "Why are they still sleeping on the same bed? There is an empty bed in my room. Something isn't right with them."

Noel: "Oh dear. Something's leaky and for once it's not me."

Noel: "I better get out of here while I have the chance."

Noel: "Why is there blood on the table?"

Maximillian: "Just keep your distance and focus on your goals."

Maximillian: "I only came here for two reasons: to prove that I'm still alive, and to win."

Maximillian: "The lesser I open my mouth, the better it is for everyone."

Maximillian: "Then, everything will be worth it."

Contestants will be solving another puzzle in this mission. The puzzle has 60 song titles in foreign languages. They must find as many songs as possible, with each song worth 2 points. They have two hours and at the end, as long as they are able to say the hidden phrase, they will earn the full 120 points.

To help them, they will be hearing the 60 songs...all at once. There is also a treadmill for four of them. Every 5km cumulatively completed grants them a chance to access a list of common and possible foreign words for a minute.

***

Jay: "We split ourselves into two groups. Four of us will always take the treadmill while the other half solved the puzzle. I have two left feet so I definitely belonged to the puzzle-solving group."

***

Joyce: "I'm not that good with languages or songs, unless it's a diner song. I pray that Maya will be able to help us here. I think she's the only one who knows a foreign language."

***

Maya: "I no listen this songs."
Joyce: "This is not music to my ears."

Joyce: "How are we supposed to identify 60 songs at once?"
Jay: "We have to try and isolate them. Statistically you three should have a bigger advantage."

Joyce: "Hey I think I hear Billy Joel."
Maya: "Huh?"

Emily: "I think I heard Demi Lovato but I can't hear it again."

Derrick: "Come on guys! We can do this! We need access to that room!"

Noel: "Aah! Nearly sprained my ankle."

Derrick: "Are you okay?"
Noel: "I would be better if Jay manned up and did this instead of me."

Maya: "I no know."
Jay: "I no know too..I mean, I can't tell which song is which either."
Joyce: "I'm doing what you suggested...I think I heard Billy Joel's Vienna. Too bad that's not much help when it's in literally any other language."

Emily: "Let's change tactics. We should look at the words we have and then try and match them to a song. There are supplies to help us too."

Maya: "I no know."

Joyce: "This is really hard. I'm so lost by the words."

Jay: "I see 'alone' backwards, but that's probably coincidence more than anything."

Joyce: "Cuba?"

Emily: "I actually took a second language in French. I'm so glad I did because then I can identify some words and songs. Le Son Du Silence...that's The Sound of Silence! By Simon and Garfunkel!"

Noel: "5km. Quick, we should enter."
Maximillian: "The others should enter. It's time to take a break."

Noel: "You suggested slacking, not me."

Jay: "It's open! Yikes, nearly tripped."

Jay: "There's a whole list on colours: rojo, rood, blauw, oranssi, lilla...I think there has to be a few songs called colours."

Emily: "There's Yellow by Coldplay. Also that whole Red Taylor Swift album."

Joyce: "Shh! I'm trying to concentrate on memorising."

Jay: "Yellow was galben, bui, kuning, jaune...aha! Jaune!"

Maya: "Is helde?"
Joyce: "What's helde?"
Maya: "Er...heroes."
Joyce: "Heroes...yes, I think it's a Bonnie Tyler song. Go ahead and fill that in."

Oscar: "We have rested enough. It is time to get back on."

Noel: "This is too much effort for too little reward."
Maximillian: "Quit whining."

Emily: "Elle means 'she' in French...is it a song? They won't put in a word like this so randomly. Might as well mark it and add it to the list."

Jay: "Telefoon must mean Telephone, a Lady Gaga song."

Noel: "Someone take over. I can't anymore."

Derrick: "Another 5km."

Joyce: "There is a whole section on greetings."
Maya: "Noel!"

Noel: "Hi guys. I got too tired of running. I'm a bloody playwright. Words should be my forte. Now let me see what I don't know..."

***

Oscar: "It was very convenient of Noel to not tell everyone he knows multiple languages from the start. He wasted time."

***

Emily: "I'm expecting to see Adele here but I haven't found them yet."

Joyce: "I hear Stevie Wonder's voice."

Noel: "Are there really 60 songs in here?"

Emily: "Oh, this is Man In The Mirror."

Noel: "They so obviously used Google Translate on this."

Jay: "What song is this?"

Joyce: "I very clearly hear Hello but I don't remember what the possible words are."

Derrick: "It seems like Noel didn't really contribute much. We're just a little bit slower without him."

Noel: "Maca, uva, cereja...why am I even looking at this? No self-respecting song is named after a fruit."

Joyce: "Hola, konichiwa, hallo.."

Maya: "Sol...eil...soleil...soleil...then sol...soleil...sol..."

Emily: "Huh...who knew 'alone' meant 'halo' in Italian?"

Maya: "Murtali...murtali...yes!"

Emily: "Vivant...that's French for 'alive'. Pretty sure that's a song title."

Jay: "Historie...pretty clear what that means...shit, I accidentally colooured an extra box!"

Joyce: "NiNa may not be around but I still am. I can cover the old songs."

***

Derrick: "Maximillian, Oscar and I kept running throughout the 2 hours, only stopping every 5 kilometres. It was really tiring and the longer we ran the slower we were. This was especially so because there were 4 treadmills but only 3 of us once Noel left."

***

After 2 hours, they managed to find 28 song titles.

"If you are able to say the hidden sentence, you can earn 120 points."
Maximillian: "Ha, good luck with that."
Maya: "No know."

Joyce: "There is no way we can get this right."
Noel: "We gotta try. There is a Mole among us?"
"Incorrect. That means you only get 56/120 points, making the pot 190/365 points. The Mole is making sure that you don't succeed."

Maximillian: "I expected as much. My only regret is not knowing who did what."
Oscar: "Why did you colour over the words?"
Derrick: "Yeah. In word searches the same letter can be used multiple times for many words. If you black it out you won't know what letter it was."

Emily: "Oh...that's true."
Maya: "Too late."

Will the group succumb to the Mole's ploys or will they be able to bridge the gap?
