14.18-Wrong move, guard

Ella: “Why did you pick me? Why not Cindy? Or your beloved bard Renne?”
Venus: “What?”
Ella: “You know what I’m talking about.”
Venus: “Bit…”
Venus: “Er, I mean sorry your Highness, but there was no other choice! I would never harm my Renne, and I…er…I believe Cindy is the Mole.”
Ella: “Really? Interesting. But…it doesn’t make sense. They both are immune, so why pick me?”
Venus: “Because…I trust you will be able to survive this penalty as you always have. And I want a fair game?”
Ella: “Hmph. Wrong move, guard.”

***

Renne: “Do you really believe the Mole is Cindy?”
Venus: “I panicked. I needed to come up with an answer to Ella Marie quick. Sigh. Viola would never face such a problem. She’s always so cool and calm, always thinking of the long term and always having a backup plan. I’m more headstrong and impulsive.”

Venus: “But in all honesty, I do believe that she is the most likely Mole, and I hope you do too. I want us to go to the finale together, Renne.”
Renne: “I’m not sure it’s her…”
Venus: “The proof is in the pudding, Renne! Who did you pick? Ella Marie? Me?”
Renne: “Of course not you my dear! I picked the former, but I was split.”
Venus: “Well trusting me is better than being unsure. Viola left because she was so sure it was you and she was trying to convince me it was you, pulling us apart!”
Renne: “What? You didn’t believe her, did you?”
Venus: “Um, of course not! I put Cindy and that’s why I’m here.”
Renne: “Okay, I trust you. We should go take the quiz now.”

“Tonight, one of the ladies will be leaving. Who will it be? Ella Marie Tremble.”

“Ella Marie Tremble…you are going…into the finale!”
Ella: “Like, of course. I would be the last to leave.’

Cindy: “Good luck, Venus.”
Venus: “You too. May the non-Mole survive.”
“Either Cindy or Venus will be leaving us tonight. Cindy Veer.”

“Cindy Veer, you are…going to…the finale!”
Cindy: “Really? Yay! I feel like I’m in heaven!”

“That means Venus Ixora, I’m sorry to say that you have been executed. Please pack your bags and leave.”
Venus: “This underdog has finally lost.”

Cindy: “I’m so sorry to see you go!”
Ella: “Whatever. The guards are supposed to go first.”
Renne: “Strategies really backfire. I wish it weren’t you that left.”

“How do you feel being so close?”
Venus: “I really believed that I would make it! I had a chance! The fact that Ella Marie beat me means I…was wrong? Impossible. But I felt so sure of myself!”
“You’ll be glad to know it was a tie. Any last words?”
Venus: “Renne, Cindy survived this. She hasn’t had to feel the worry of an execution for so long she would have lost her touch. Believe me, it must be her! Ella Marie must have picked her too! Please, for our sake, choose Cindy as your Mole! Win this for us!”

“Thank you for your time Venus.”

Renne: “I’m in a total train wreck right now. My love Venus has just left, but she’s so persistent Cindy’s the Mole! I feel like it’s probably Ella Marie with her execution. She’s so obvious that nobody thought it was her! I feel so lost. Should I trust my instincts or Venus’s? At least I have my guitar now. I finally know why they confiscated it and told me to keep mum about it. On another note, all the Vs have gone.”

Renne: “Ella Marie!”
Ella: “Call me your Highness! Bow down to me!”
Renne: “I will not, you Queen of Hearts! Listen, all this has been a plan. The Mole is not Cindy.”
Cindy: “You thought I was the Mole?”
Renne: “Leave us for a while, Cindy.”

Renne: “This was all a plan. Venus and I ganged up on you to get you on our side and convince you the Mole was Venus. Obviously it didn’t work. Venus chose Cindy as the Mole and she expected me to do the same! I’m glad I’m exempted.”
Ella: “I knew it! One moment I was stuck with the people I hate the most and then suddenly you guys act all nice and creepy. But wait...why are you telling me this? Why not just go with your plan? Tell me that Cindy is the Mole?”
Renne: “Because I’m feeling confused. I’m at a loss on who the Mole is. I shouldn’t win this. You deserve to know this as well. I want a fair game.”
Ella: “So are you telling me you are the Mole?”
Renne: “I am not the Mole. But you are.”
Ella: “Nonsense!”

Cindy: “Oh, will I ever find true love? I just want to go back to my family…”

We are approaching the finale! Who is the Mole?

14.17-Woe is me

We are back on the Smole! The final 5 went to throw baseballs into different contestant’s holes as they saw fit. Ella Marie had the most balls in the end, 54, so she earned an exemption. Cindy had 20, so she earned a hidden exemption. Only Ella Marie and Renne earned more than 30 balls, so they earned 20/50 points for the group, making the pot 425/1120. Royston found himself leaving by a tie. Who is next? Who will win? Who is the Mole?

Cindy: “I feel like I’m hated. I only received 20 balls which was the least. And then ever since that I’ve been treated worse by everyone else! Woe is me.”
Renne: “Hey babe.”
Venus: “Oh hi Renne. I’ve got a plan that could stop Ella Marie’s tyranny.”

***

Venus: “And that’s how it’ll go.”
Ella: “That’s how what’ll go?”

Venus: “Oh your Majesty, I didn’t see you there! Let me curtsy.”
Ella: “You are surprisingly well-mannered today.”
Venus: “We had an epiphany. Cindy is subhuman.”
Ella: “I’m glad you see that at last. She is below all of us. She is nothing but a slave.”
Renne: “I’m hungry! Slave! Bring me food!”
Ella: “Excellent job! It is unfortunate that I cannot ally with you right now. The circumstances are too precious to do that. But you should continue to ignore that thing that sleeps below. She, sorry, it, has no class or honour and I am glad it has the sense to sleep somewhere away from all of us. In fact it shouldn’t even be cooking our food. Her filthy hands will contaminate the food! She should be on the ground begging for food at best, like a true peasant. I should keep my distance from her as well. Mingling too much with the likes of her will cost me. I am surprised she is still here in this house. She should go!”

Cindy: “I can hear all of that…it’s so hurtful. Can she be less caustic or at least quieter?”

Renne: “You guys smell like a toilet. Bathe in your lavender roses Venus. I love it when you smell so refined and sophisticated.”
Ella: “I shall get down and make sure she doesn’t add rat poison or something.”

***

Ella: “Quickly get away from the room she’s in as soon as possible. You don’t want to be contaminated.”

Cindy: “Sorry to be in your way.”
Renne: “It’s not like that Cindy…”
Venus: “Shh! Keep it down. That old hag can hear us. It’s just a plan Cindy. Something we can’t let you in on for now.”

Venus: “I came up with a plan to overthrow the so-called Queen of the house Ella Marie Tremble. Basically everyone ostracise Cindy and label her an outcast. We get Ella Marie on our side. Then she trusts us and we can hit her where she least expects it. I haven’t thought of the details yet, but it’s something along the lines of telling her the wrong Mole…which I will have to play, and that’s where Renne comes in. But there isn’t much time left, so I had to act fast.”

***

Mission time! Contestants must go around looking for items related to the final 4. If they are in the correct place, they will be given a clue. They only need to find 1 item each. For every correct identification, 5 points are earned. This is worth 20 points.

These are the 4 items (the last being a bouquet of roses which I forgot to take a picture of.)

Renne: “Ooh, a performance.”
“Say cheese!”
Renne: “What? Oh, what’s that over there?”

Renne: “A camera!”

Venus: “Gym? Could it be here?”

Ella: “I should revisit all the places we went to before. They must be hiding it there!”

Ella: “Well, City Hall was of no use. Where is my carriage?”

Cindy: “Could the answer be here?”

Ella: “The graveyard. Meh.”
“It was poisoned on Season 9.”
Ella: “What? The waters?”

Ella: “Oh, it’s an apple. I know who this belongs to.”

Venus: “Do I have to fish for the object?”

Cindy: “Maybe the friendly firefighters can help.”
“These are red, violets are blue.”

Ella: “Roses? I’m going upstairs. Maybe there are roses in the room.”

Cindy: “Oh, but whose are these? These must be the roses! I’m going to look around for the firemen.”

Ella: “I see a box of bulbs. It’s labelled ‘Brightest Bulbs’. I guess these lamps need switching of the bulbs. They are so dim! Well, looks like nobody’s here.”

Venus: “The darkest places must be where it is. I must tread carefully.”
“Strum your way to the finale!”
Venus: “Was that a clue?”

Venus: “Looks like the entrance is blocked. But what do I see there?”

Venus: “A guitar! This must be the answer!”

***

“Congratulations on finding all the objects. For being the first to find something, Renne earns the last exemption this season.”
Renne: “Woo!”
“Now, you shall start. Who do you think your object belongs to?”

Renne: “Well, Venus isn’t really into photography or technology in general. It’s definitely not mine. Ella Marie is too old for this…”
Ella: “Ahem!”
Renne: “Sorry your Highness, but it’s the truth. So I’m guessing Cindy? She’s the one I know least about.”

Cindy: “How…sorry, I mean yes it’s mine. I’m a hobby photographer.”

Ella: “I found an apple. I always keep spare apples. So they are mine.”

Venus: “This guitar is definitely Renne’s. I’ve seen it so many times. He’s the only guitarist here too.”

Cindy: “I found a bunch of roses. I was debating on whose it could be but by your responses the only one left is Venus.”
“You are all correct! 20/20 points are earned, or 445/1140. Nothing you can do much about now, but still good effort. Also, Venus gets a penalty for being the last to find her item. However, she is able to choose to split it up with one other contestant because she found the ‘V’ last mission. Who will you split it up with?”
Venus: “I’ll split my penalty with Ella Marie Tremble.”
Ella: “What?”
“Very well. Ella Marie and Venus both have a -1 penalty.”

***

Ella: “Come back here wretch!”
Renne: “Stop right there! You will not pick on my Venus!”

Ella: “Scram, bard.”
